Sonic brings back signature menu item

Daily Mail23-07-2025
Sonic is the latest fast-food chain to jump into the chicken snack wrap wars, going head-to-head with McDonald's. The chain, often ranked among America's unhealthiest , made headlines after bringing back its Crispy Tender Wraps just days before McDonald's triumphant Snack Wrap return.
Sonic's wraps, priced from $1.99 on its FUN.99 value menu, come with zesty baja sauce or honey chipotle aioli and are stuffed with lettuce, tomatoes, and cheddar cheese.
Fans are divided over whether Sonic can top McDonald's classic. 'The honey chipotle gonna be hard for McDonald's to top,' an Instagram user wrote. Another dismissed Sonic's attempt: 'Love u but u can't win this bestie.' The wraps join Sonic's limited-time Grillo's Pickles Big Dill Meal and Live Free Fridays special in the chain's summertime celebration.
Fans had been preparing for McDonald's Snack Wraps ever since the company announced the return last year . The hype increased in March after an employee revealed what he believed was the offering's return date on TikTok. Once July 10 rolled around, customers were rushing to purchase a spicy or ranch McDonald's Snack Wrap for $2.99.
The restaurant chain also revamped the wraps to include its new McCrispy Strips rather than an original chicken breast. The wrap return came months after McDonald's suffered its biggest drop in sales since the pandemic.
Falling 3.6 percent during this year's first quarter, the price drop was one of many that McDonald's has suffered over the years following inflation and new tariffs . Sonic has also been down on its luck after its annual sales fell 2.7 percent last year and being outperformed by regional chains like Whataburger and In-N-Out Burger. Finishing the year with approximately 3,461 US locations, Sonic's website shows the restaurant count is now down to 3,444.

The Gallagher brothers heralded their return to the stage in August 2024, taking to social media to announce: "This is it, this is happening. The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised." This was us last week at Wembley - loving every second of it . Special mention has to go to the gallant stranger ( bottom right) who hauled me onto his shoulders for #champagnesupernova to relive my 20's at #knebworth 96. I can only assume he didn't realise a) I'm heavier than I look and b) how long that song actually is ! ! ! Do hope he's not spent all week at the chiropractor but eternally grateful!". One follower commented: "It is so lovely to see you enjoying life and smiling again enjoy every moment you deserve it," another wrote: "Go on Girl! ! Hope you had a supersonic time! ! ! !" A third wrote: "You and your family deserve to be happy and enjoying through all you have been through." Some fans drew comparisons between the mystery man and Gareth Southgate, with one writing: "Haha! Looks like Sir Gareth Southgate had you on his shoulders," whilst another said: "He could be Gareth Southgate's long lost brother." Oasis will carry on with their Edinburgh performances on Tuesday (12 August) before making their way to Ireland for two gigs at Croke Park in Dublin on 16 and 17 August. The Gallagher brothers, aged 58, will then jet off to Canada and America for performances in Toronto, Chicago, LA and Mexico City before returning to London for two additional major concerts at Wembley towards the end of September. The brothers will continue their jam-packed itinerary with stops in Asia, Australia and South America, wrapping up their comeback tour on 23 November in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Her friend was gobsmacked by what she saw and Princess told her: "Usually it's like old men, going on about my toes Sometimes they'll be like, 'let me take you on a date.'" In a piece to camera, she added: "I can't even read this message out, it's actually disgusting. "I do love my job and I do love social media and I do love interacting with people but there is a dark side to social media that people don't see, and there are a lot of inappropriate messages that…yeah some of them can be horrible. "Like I'm literally 17, that's actually not OK." Later in the episode, Princess was hanging out with her dad and mentioned the messages she is receiving. Looking up with alarm, Peter asked what sort of messages, and his daughter said it's often men asking to see her feet and so on. With a look of alarm, Peter replied: "Please God that's the only thing they ask for." But Princess delivered more bad news when she told him they also ask: "Are you finally legal now?" Mum comes up with 'genius' parenting hack to tire the kids out this summer

One mum has shared a genius tip to help tire your children out this summer to make sure they're entertained while you get some rest. Lili Barua shares parenting content with her 106,000 followers on Instagram Many mums and dads will be spending lots of time with their kids currently now that the school summer holidays are underway. And although parents no doubt love spending lots of quality time with their little ones, it can be exhausting and expensive to come up with ideas for summer days out with the kids. ‌ To help with this, one mum has shared a genius tip to help tire your children out this summer to make sure they're entertained while you get some rest. Lili Barua, who shares parenting content with her 106,000 followers on Instagram, recently took to the app to post about the 'hack', which went down a treat with her fans – racking up more than 100,000 likes. ‌ She shared the viral tip in a reel which saw her relaxing on the sofa. ‌ Overlay text read: "My favourite parenting hack right now is free 'jump challenges' on YouTube. "They think they're playing (and winning) games while using all their endless energy sources. "Who's going to tell them? Not I." ‌ The camera then panned round to her kids jumping up and down in front of the game on the TV. Some people were loving the idea, as one person wrote: "The sleep tonight would be sweet and deep," while another branded it "genius". ‌ Someone else added: "The jumping is so good for them too! Strong bones, good metabolism." While a fourth wrote: "Great idea for kiddos who don't have easy access to outdoor space!" Someone else who had already tried the same also chimed in: "We did these in class with my kindergarten kids between lessons - it genuinely helps them blow off a little steam without the whole task of getting everyone together to safely go outside, or when we can't go outside for whatever reason (weather, lack of supervision, lack of safe places to play like parks)." However, some other parents had a warning about the tip, as one person cautioned: "Careful. It builds stamina and endurance over time. They start to get MORE ENERGY." While another echoed: "Double-edged sword here… bought my kid a trampoline and it was incredible for about three days before he built endurance and we were back at square one." Others also added that they preferred to take their kids outside to play, but some argued that things like weather and other circumstances can sometimes prevent that at certain times.
