Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra may not support 65W wired charging after all
A few days ago, a rumor told us to expect Samsung's upcoming Galaxy S26 Ultra to finally up its charging capacity from the 45W its predecessors have been stuck at, to 65W. Today a new report, based on code found in One UI 8, comes to contradict that. If this is accurate information, then the S26 Ultra will only support 60W wired charging. Yeah, Ice Universe was really right. The Galaxy S26 Ultra will support 60W fast charging! — Erencan Yılmaz (@erenylmaz075) July 29, 2025 Sure, that's not a huge difference to 65W, and it's still a pretty significant improvement from 45W. The aforementioned previous rumor also claimed the phone would get a 5,500 mAh battery, which would be 10% bigger than the S25 Ultra's, but we have to note that other sources do claim the S26 Ultra's cell will actually stay at 5,000 mAh like its predecessor's, with the faster charging support supposedly making up for that somehow. While this all sounds rather confusing, one thing seems pretty clear: the S26 Ultra will definitely not be a champ in either battery capacity or how fast it charges. In both areas, its Chinese competitors will have it beat, and by a lot. What else is new, right?

Honor Power 2 may take battery capacity past a new threshold
Back in April, Honor introduced the Power, a mid-range smartphone with a huge 8,000 mAh battery. The brand isn't done, however. According to a new rumor out of China, Honor is currently testing a new device which will have an insane 10,000 mAh battery. This is most likely going to be launching as the Honor Power 2, but it's still unclear when. Honor Power For that matter, all of its specs are still a mystery aside from the battery. And on that topic, note that testing may result in cutting its size somewhat, but if not, then this will be the mainstream phone with the biggest battery ever, and by quite a margin. The Honor Power series is focused on longevity first, and that's why the rest of the specs aren't flagship-level. For example, the Honor Power comes with a 6.78-inch 1224x2700 AMOLED screen with 120 Hz refresh rate and 4,000-nit peak brightness, the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC, 8/12GB of RAM, 256/512GB of storage, a 50 MP main rear camera with OIS, a 5 MP ultrawide, and a 16 MP selfie snapper.
