Has Tom Hiddleston had a low-key wedding? Hints of marriage as Marvel superhero couple reveal second baby is on the way

Daily Mail11 hours ago

Three ears is a long time to be engaged – and longer still to keep a secret.
So perhaps it's no surprise that Tom Hiddleston and Zawe Ashton – a couple who tightly guard their privacy – seem to have finally let slip they are married.
The last official update on their relationship status came in 2022 when Hiddleston, 44 – who became a household name in BBC drama The Night Manager – confirmed they were engaged.
Later that year, they had their first child, but failed to make the baby's name or even sex public.
Now, with absolutely no fanfare, Hiddleston – also known for playing Loki in several Marvel movies – has been referred to as Ms Ashton's 'husband' in an interview.
The actress, 40 – a Marvel star herself, playing Dar-Benn – also confirmed to Vogue she is expecting their second child.
At the weekend they appeared on the red carpet for the UK premiere of Hiddleston's new film, Ms Ashton wearing a flowing custom sky-blue Emilia Wickstead gown and cape, with a baby bump just about visible.
Ahead of the London screening of The Life Of Chuck, an adaptation of a Stephen King story, Ms Ashton suggested to Vogue she was feeling a little nervous about the publicity, but that Hiddleston would be a reassuring presence.
She said: 'I feel like I'll be very held on an evening where, as an expectant mother, you can feel a little bit exposed.'
The couple met playing a husband and wife in the 2019 West End revival of Betrayal by Harold Pinter, which later transferred to Broadway in New York.
They confirmed they were an item in 2021 and made their red carpet debut as a couple at the Tony Awards that year, when Hiddleston was nominated for Betrayal. The following year, Ms Ashton's diamond engagement ring was spotted at the Bafta Awards.
The low-key approach is in stark contrast to Hiddleston's highly publicised whirlwind romance in 2016 with pop star Taylor Swift.
Several years later, he told The New York Times: 'Yes, I'm protective about my internal world now in probably a different way. That's because I didn't realise it needed protecting before.'

The Brit Awards are moving to Manchester

The Brit Awards will be held in Manchester for the first time next year, it's been announced. It's a big change, as the ceremony, which is all about the celebration of British music and talented artists from the UK and beyond, has taken place in London for the last 48 years. The very first awards were in 1977, with the past 15 ceremonies taking place at London's O2 Brits will be held at the Manchester Co-op Live arena in 2026 and 2027 as part of a two-year-deal. Next year's event will be on Saturday 28 February and the 50th anniversary will be celebrated the following year. "After 48 years, it is great that this prestigious global event is about to arrive in the UK capital of music and culture," said Andy Burnham, the Mayor of Greater Manchester. "Greater Manchester has an unparalleled music heritage known around the world..."...we will pull out all the stops to show they made the right decision." Who won big at the last Brit Awards? The Brit Awards 2025 were held in March earlier this year in London. Charli XCX was the big winner on the night, taking home five awards, including Best Artist, Best Album, and Song of the Year. Former Little Mix member Jade Thirlwall won the Best Pop Act award this year, while US pop star Sabrina Carpenter was given the Global Success Award.

Nick Knowles' new wife Katie shares new photos from wedding and has already changed her name on Instagram

NICK Knowles' new wife Katie has shared some new photos from this wedding - and she's already changed her name on Instagram. Nick, 62, and Katie, 34, said 'I do' in the same venue where Rylan Clark married ex-husband Dan Neal in 2015. 8 8 8 8 The DIY SOS star and the mum-of-two were all smiles as they posed outside the country house, with the bride showing off her chic style in a stunning blue and white gown. And they've given fans a glimpse into their big day and were seen enjoying their first slow dance together after exchanging vows at Braxted Park in Essex. Now, Katie, who has already changed her surname to Knowles on social media, has shared a string of stunning photos from inside their big day. She penned to her 90,000 followers: 'When you marry your soulmate.' Katie shared photos of her and Nick hugging on the dance floor, as well as some beautiful black and white images of them cutting their three-tiered wedding cake. She also posted sweet polaroid snaps with family and friends, and a fun photo of her and Nick posed in playful costumes against a floral backdrop. Fans flooded the comments with messages of congratulations. One person wrote: 'Congratulations to you both Katie and Nick I'm happy for you both,' and a second added: 'Gorgeous .. wishing you all happiness in the world.' A third said: 'Looks like you had the perfect day even though the buried sausage didn't work,' referring to the rainy weather. Fans also loved watching clips of the couple's first dance. DIY SOS presenter Nick was decked out in his pink jacket while lingerie boss Katie sported her elegant blue floral gown as they swayed and gazed lovingly into each other's eyes. Even the joker Nick couldn't resist having a laugh and busted out some twerking at the end while Katie jokingly shook her head. Katie then did an outfit change and slipped into a white mini dress with match trainers and a glittery hat. Nick clearly liked what he saw, removing his jacket and spinning it around over his head. And despite having to pull out of Strictly Come Dancing due to injury last year, Nick proved he's still got the moves as he spun his wife around the floor. Later the pair let their hair down further by downing shots with their pals. There was also lots of entertainment for guests, with a carnival dancer taking to the stage at one point. Later, a band performed songs for the merry crowd. Nick and Katie spared no expense on the big day, which is rumoured to have cost six figures. 8 8 8 8

Jessie J, 37, suffers 'hardest day yet' amid her 'rollercoaster' battle with breast cancer as she breaks down in tears and struggles through panic attacks while 'drowning in the negativity' of her diagnosis

Jessie J revealed she suffered her 'worst day so far' amid her breast cancer battle as she broke down in tears and struggled through panic attacks on Saturday. The singer, 37, who announced her diagnosis in an emotional Instagram video last week, admitted 'drowning in the negativity' of her situation as she took to her Stories with a latest health update. In a lengthy post on Sunday, she wrote: 'Honestly, had my worst day so far yesterday since my diagnosis and the busiest three months I have had in years. Work. Toddler. Cancer. life etc had my mind [drained]. Jessie, who shares two-year-old son Sky with partner Chanan Colman, continued: 'Panic attacks/ tears. big fears/ anger/ overwhelm bad. And you know what helped?'. 'I ate a corn on the cob. Turns out it's extremely hard to panic or cry while eating one. Highly recommend. Instead mood shift'. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. 'Tomorrow is a new day. The [rollercoaster] of cancer is [draining]. I won't be just talking about the highlights. And making jokes all the time. That isn't real life. Goodnight'. Returning to social media on Monday, The Price Tag hitmaker penned: 'IMO. it's [key] to acknowledge fear anger sadness panic overwhelm and let it come up and come out. holding it in won't make it go away. In any challenging situation in life'. 'So when I posted what I did yesterday about my current challenge in life, also while making light of the situation. That was one day in 10 weeks that I just lost it and was completely drowned in all the negative and bed feelings any cancer journey can bring. Which is healthy and needed. She went on: 'So I will cry, I will be scared, I will panic, I will feel all of it for a minute or even a full day. And then eat a [corn] or listen to a song that lifts me up or laugh with a friend on Face Time. And then go and be a mum, and go to work and show up and be what I feel 90% of the time'. 'Strong, fearless, healthy, and make some jokes about it all because that's my way. But i will not ignore the 10% that is fear and sadness'. It comes after Jessie appeared to drop a hint about her cancer diagnosis weeks ago during a performance in London. But the announcement appears all the more poignant now given what Jessie is reported to have told fans while performing at Union Chapel on May 20. Accorrding to The Mirror, the star told her fans at the show she was putting herself first and wanted to have fun. She said: 'I know we are all going through our own battles in life, we are all struggling in our own way. We talk about it sometimes, and sometimes we don't. 'So I will cry, I will be scared, I will panic, I will feel all of it for a minute or even a full day. And then eat a [corn] or listen to a song that lifts me up or laugh with a friend on Face Time'. 'I'm grateful I have the voice and the strength to be able to put those experiences into songs that people can take and make them their own soundtrack to help them get through a tough time, a good time, a scary time.' The hitmaker also seemed to reference her cancer battle when she introduced her new song No Secrets. 'This song for me, more so than ever right now, is getting me through my life,' she said. Jessie revealed that she discovered she had the illness before the release of her hit new single No Secrets, which was released on April 25. The mother of one said she would be undergoing surgery after performing at the Summertime Ball in London on June 15. In the clip, Jessie said: 'Hi, I have been going back and forth a little bit on whether to share it. I want to but there's lots of opinions outside... 'Also knowing that I want to share with my fans and the people that care about me, also I'm a sharer. I've always shared everything that I go through in my life. 'Before No Secrets came out, I was diagnosed with early breast cancer. Cancer sucks in any form but I'm holding onto the word early. 'I have been in and out of tests throughout this whole period, adding that she had not been adequately 'processing it because I'm working so hard.' Jessie said she 'wanted to be open and share it - one, because selfishly I do not talk about it enough. I'm not processing it 'cause I'm working so hard.' She added: 'I also know how much sharing in the past has helped me, with other people giving me their love and support and also their own stories.' The London native stated: 'I'm an open book. It breaks my heart that so many people are going through so much, similar and worse. That's the bit that kills me.' 'I just wanted to let you guys know it wasn't something I planned. I'm getting to keep my nipples. That's good, it's a weird topic and a weird situation.' Jessie reflected: 'To get diagnosed with this as I'm putting out a song called No Secrets, right before a song called Living My Best Life – which was all pre-planned, before I found out about this. I mean, you can't make it up.' She joked: 'It's a very dramatic way to get a boob job,' adding that the operation to excise the cancer would occur sometime after her appearance at Summertime Ball at London's Wembley Stadium on June 15. Jessie told fans she would 'disappear for a bit after Summertime Ball to have my surgery and I will come back with massive t**s and more music.' Continuing the lighthearted mood, she wrote in the caption: 'No (more) Secrets and is it too soon to do a remix called Living My Breast Life? 'All jokes aside (you know it's one of the ways I get through hard times). This last two months have been so amazing, and having this go on alongside it on the sideline's has given me the most incredible perspective.
