Influencer found dead after post pleading for ‘help' — with husband shooting himself as cops closed in
A social media influencer was found dead in her home after posting an ominous message begging for help — with her husband killing himself as police closed in on him hours later.
Zaria Khadejah Carr, 27, was found dead in her home in Twin City, Georgia — about 80 miles northwest of Savannah — around 9:30 p.m. Saturday after police responded to a domestic disturbance, according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.
Just over three hours prior, Zaria had posted a desperate plea for help to her 35,000 followers of her influencer Facebook page, where she went by Duchess Dior, People magazine reported.

'I really don't know what to do,' reads the Duchess Dior's final post, shared around 6 p.m. Saturday. '.. but i need help before i lose my life or freedom ! My kids need me !'

Her husband, Shamarcus Jameal Carr — a dog breeder known as the Frenchman online — was nowhere to be found when cops arrived and Zaria's 2021 Dodge Challenger was missing.
The vehicle was located some 80 miles to the south in Wayne County just before 11 p.m.
4 Zaria shared an ominous Facebook post hours before she was found dead.
But when Wayne County sheriff's deputies tried to stop it, Carr shot himself before they could take him into custody.

He was rushed to a local hospital where he later died.
4 Authorities are still investigating the couples' deaths.

Sources told People magazine that Shamarcus is the man behind The Frenchmen' Facebook account, which boasted 44,000 followers sharing his life as a French bulldog breeder.
Shamarcus' page features photos of maternity shoots with a woman the source identifies as Dutchess Dior, whose first name is Zaria, sources confirmed to People.

It remains unclear how Zaria died.
Police said the investigations into both their deaths remain 'active and ongoing.'

That new legislation, along with the new transfer portal rules, have shifted college sports in massive ways. It seems as if there has been little done to organize a clear structure to address those issues. Wisconsin's position in this lawsuit is extremely important for the future of revenue sharing and will set a precedent for all deals made with student athletes. Wisconsin is looking not only to sue Miami for financial damages but also deeming UM's recruitment tactics as "wrongful.' UW-Madison also alleges that Miami knowingly sent a coach and important alumnus to the Florida home of Xavier Lucas in December, where they offered "financial terms more lucrative than those included in the contracts" that he had already signed with the Badgers. This is one of the first instances of a university going after another university with credible allegations of tampering and could set a new standard for how situations like these are handled in the college sports world. A toddler was found alive and wandering on the side of a Canadian highway nearly 100 miles away from home after a frantic four-day search — as cops revealed her mother made several unsettling online searches, including for children's urns and funeral arrangements, before the tot's disappearance. Sonoma man arrested after police say they found him with meth, guns
Police officials in Santa Rosa and Petaluma arrested a Sonoma man Wednesday on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine and firearms, authorities said. Police identified the suspect as Kelly James Roach, 59, who is a convicted felon and prohibited from possessing firearms, officials said. On the 5300 block of Old Redwood Highway in Petaluma, detectives initiated a traffic stop on Roach, searched his vehicle and discovered a loaded 1911 Colt .45 in a Crown Royal bag on the floorboard, police said. About 2½ ounces of suspected methamphetamine was found under Roach's seat cover, authorities said. Roach was booked into the Sonoma County Jail. Detectives also executed search warrants at two storage units on the 6000 block of Commerce Drive in Rohnert Park on Wednesday, according to a Facebook post by the Santa Rosa police. There, they located a stockpile of handguns, rifles, rounds of ammunition and firearm parts. It was not clear if the storage units belonged to Roach. Santa Rosa police did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
