A COUPLE claiming to have set up an African royal tribe in a Scots woodland left a former home after hanging a chilling banner, warning: 'Your children shall be dashed to pieces'.
Kofi Offeh, 36, and Jean Gasho, 42 — who call themselves King Atehehe and Queen Nandi — are living in tents in a forest near Jedburgh, Roxburghshire, in a kingdom they've named Kubala.

But The Scottish Sun can reveal they previously caused concern by stringing up the banner next to a satellite dish outside their old property, with the Biblical quote in blood-like lettering.
'House of Fire' was also painted in red on a front window, while Swastika-like symbols hung on bunting inside the flat in Stockton, County Durham.
It has further emerged that Offeh, from Ghana, and Zimbabwean mother-of-seven Gasho were due to stand trial on child cruelty charges at Teesside Crown Court but the charges were dropped earlier this year.
One alarmed local in Jedburgh said: 'This previous threat to children is deeply concerning, considering they're now camping in woodland, behind Jedburgh Grammar Campus.
'There are obvious concerns over their mental health. The authorities need to intervene.'
We told how the pair live on the private site with a handmaiden called Asnat and dress in traditional tribal clothing.
They at first settled on a council-owned spot in the town and declared they were reclaiming land 'stolen' from their Highland ancestors 400 years ago.
Videos on social media show the trio bathing in a stream, praying by a river wearing only foraged leaves, sweeping the ground with handmade brooms and chanting by a fire under the stars.
But vigilantes trampled down the camp and torched their rebuilt shelters earlier this month after they were served with a council eviction notice.
Local councillor Scott Hamilton said: 'When they first arrived, people were genuinely interested and there was a genuine feeling of, 'how can we help?'

Man, 24, arrested for multiple murders after 4 bodies pulled from Seine in Paris… as ID of 3 victims remains mystery
Two of the bodies showed signs they suffered 'violent injuries' PARIS 'MURDERS' Man, 24, arrested for multiple murders after 4 bodies pulled from Seine in Paris… as ID of 3 victims remains mystery Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) A SUSPECT has been arrested in connection with four bodies which were found mysteriously floating in the River Seine in Paris last week. It comes after a horrified train passenger spotted a corpse in the water before police rushed to the scene and found another three bodies. Créteil prosecutor's office told Le Monde: "A man was taken into custody this morning on suspicion for multiple murders at the headquarters of the criminal brigade of the Paris judicial police." The bodies were found in the French capital on August 13 in Choisy-le-Roi. One of the victims died from strangulation while another had suffered "violent injuries", the local prosecutor said on Saturday. It is currently unclear how many of the four victims the man is accused of killing. The first body which was reportedly submerged for a shorter time than the others was identified as a man aged around 40 who lived in the local area. His corpse showed signs of "violent injuries", before another investigation was opened into a second body. The suspect is now set to face questioning during his arrest over the four dead bodies. He was taken in custody on Wednesday morning, Le Parisien reported. The arrest marks a breakthrough development in what is an incredibly mysterious ordeal. Tragedy as two women die hours apart after being pulled from the sea at nearby popular UK beaches While the body pointed out by the bystander was "relatively well-preserved," the other three were in "a very advanced state of decomposition" when they were recovered, the prosecutor said on Saturday. One of the three unidentified bodies also showed signs of violence, just like the first body which was found. Cops were joined by river brigade authorities who scrambled to bring the bodies out of the water last week. A source close to the investigation told Actu17: "There are three men of African descent and a fourth of North African descent." The witness reportedly sounded the alarm after making the gruesome discovery at around 1pm last Wednesday. Authorities made a series of chilling discoveries after responding to reports that one body had been spotted in the river. They reportedly found a second corpse around 50 metres away from the first one, then a third stuck in branches in the river, and then a fourth drifting with the current. Prosecutors have stressed there is so far no evidence of a link between the victims. They could have entered the water in separate places upstream and taken by the current to the foot of the Choisy bridge.

The shocking incident happened at La Cala de Mijas near Fuengirola earlier in the month. While the arrest was made by local police, Civil Guard officers are the ones who took her to court. It is unclear today whether the Brit was a holidaymaker or an expat in Spain. In addition, it's also unknown if she has been remanded in custody pending an ongoing investigation or released on bail. Local councillor Juan Carlos Cuevas described her alleged behaviour as "repugnant and intolerable". First tourists visit North Korea's ghostly 'Benidorm' resort where 'minders' follow visitors & phones are 'bugged' He added that, even though she has not yet been charged with any crime, it "deserves the strongest condemnation". The councillor further said the co-operation of locals and the rapid intervention of local police helped secure the arrest. "This case shows that when we work together, we manage to halt very serious situations," he said. Earlier this month, a Brit assassin who Spanish police say was on the run was arrested in Costa del Sol. Pistols, ammunition and a silencer were found in his smashed-up Nissan Qashqai. The suspected hitman had a run-in with two women at a petrol station - after which he crashed his car. He reportedly began harassing two Dutch women after trying to get them to buy him cocaine. The suspect tried to flee as cops arrived at the scene. Sources told local paper Diario Sur that he ran out of the car "with visible injuries" before quickly being caught by police.
