‘Asura Hananam' song launched grandly

Hans India21-05-2025
A cinematic event unlike any other is arriving this summer, as Powerstar Pawan Kalyan steps into the boots of Veera Mallu — warrior, outlaw, legend. The songs released so far have struck a chord with the audience, generating significant buzz and appreciation. 'Hari Hara Veera Mallu,' presented by renowned producer A.M. Rathnam under the Mega Surya Productions banner, is directed by Krish Jagarlamudi and A.M. Jyothi Krishna. Music is composed by Oscar-winning composer MM Keeravaani. The film stars Nidhhi Agerwal as the female lead, with Bobby Deol in a key role. Scheduled for a grand worldwide release on June 12, the movie has already garnered tremendous expectations.
Now, the third song 'Asura Hananam' has been released, with the launch event held in a grand manner. Uniquely, the event featured hosts in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi to cater to fans across India. Pan-India media attended the event. The song 'Asura Hananam' is a goosebump-inducing composition that portrays the valour of a warrior battling evil forces. The stirring music by Keeravaani and powerful lyrics inspire a sense of rebellion and courage. Lyricist Rambabu Gosala delivers goosebumps with sharp and impactful verses. Vocalists Airaa Udupi, Kaala Bhairava, Sai Charan Bhaskaruni, Lokeshwar Edara, and Hymath Mohammed elevated the song.
During the song launch event, legendary producer A.M. Rathnam said, 'Greetings to all members of the media. We've poured five years of hard work into this film. With your support, we believe it will reach even greater heights. I believe cinema should not only entertain but also offer a message, like 'Bharatheeyudu' and 'Oke Okkadu.' This film became possible because of Pawan Kalyan garu. When Krish narrated the story to me, I took it to him.'
Oscar-winning composer MM Keeravaani remarked, 'My journey with 'Hari Hara Veera Mallu' began five years ago with Krish and is now culminating with Jyothi Krishna. I've worked with many directors, but Jyothi has a rare quality — he makes quick decisions and stands by them. AM Rathnam garu is a respected, controversy-free figure in the industry. I've always admired his lyric-writing talent. I believe this film will be another massive success for him. Producer Dayakar Rao also holds a special place for his role in the project.'
Director Jyothi Krishna said, 'Every director dream of working with Pawan Kalyan; it's like winning an award. I consider myself lucky to have gotten this opportunity. While Krish laid the foundation for the project, Rathnam sir planned to take it to the next level.'
Actress Nidhhi Agerwal said, ''Hari Hara Veera Mallu' has been an emotional journey for me — a very special film that will forever hold a place in my heart. I've always been a huge fan of Pawan Kalyan sir, and acting alongside him is a blessing.'

Sreeleela sets sights on pan-India stardom

Sreeleela is on a roll. Having made a name for herself in South Indian cinema, she is now eyeing pan-India stardom. The actress began her career with the Kannada film Kiss. She then went on to star in hits like By Two Love (Kannada), and Dhamaka, Guntur Kaaram, and the National Award-winning Bhagavanth Kesari (Telugu). Now, she has another Telugu film in the pipeline; she's also stepping into Tamil and Hindi cinema, with projects that include a Bollywood film alongside Kartik Aaryan and her Tamil debut, Parasakthi, opposite Sivakarthikeyan. These roles represent exciting new chapters for the actress, especially the latter, where she says audiences will 'get to see a new side of me.' Excerpts: 'AS AN ARTISTE, I LIKE CHANGING GEARS; IT KEEPS ME ON MY TOES' Reflecting on the nuances of working across different film industries, Sreeleela says, 'Every language has its own streak, its own flair. What matters most is understanding what the film demands and what the audience expects. Commercial cinema has its own frequency; Hindi cinema is obviously very different from what I've done. But I like changing gears like that. It keeps me on my toes.' 'ACTING TO ME, IS LIVING THE CHARACTER' She emphasises the importance of authenticity in her acting, and says, 'I feel like the moment we start acting instead of living the character, it's not authentic anymore. Especially in Hindi cinema, the scripts I've heard are a little more real, a little more my age, very close to my character. In the past, I've played many characters that weren't completely like me — I tapped into different roles. But these last couple of films feel like me, like a plain me, like how I would really react. I'm excited to bring my authentic self to every screen no matter what language.' 'I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO PLAYING ROLES THAT FEEL GENUINE' Talking about the kinds of stories that inspire her both on and off screen, Sreeleela says, 'I've always been a sucker for love stories and romcoms. Now I'm in my early 20s, and that's the vibe I'm in. Core emotions like love stay the same; what changes is how they're expressed in cinema. I want to be part of stories that are true to my age and feelings. Today, we are also seeing a rise in female-led films. I love seeing women tap into those strong, inspiring stories, and I hope to portray such roles myself. ' I love entertaining, and being able to do it on a wider canvas only makes me happier Sreeleela

Rajinikanth's 'Coolie' shatters records, earns Rs 100 crore in advance bookings, becomes the biggest opening for an Indian movie through pre-release sales, beating Ram Charan's 'Game Changer'

Rajinikanth is back and how! The legendary actor who has completed 50 years in cinema is back with a film to woo his fans. Titled 'Coolie' the film releasing on August 14, also starring Nagarjuna Akkineni, Soubin Shahir, Aamir Khan, Shruti Haasan is clashing with Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR 's 'War 2'. This is one of the biggest clashes one has ever seen and there have been many clashes around Independence day. At the moment, it looks like 'Coolie' is dominating over 'War 2' when it comes to the advance ticket sales. But once the films releases, word of mouth will play a huge role in how both he films sustain in India and worldwide. 'Coolie' which is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj has already made Rs 100 crore gross worldwide in the advance ticket sales which is huge. With this, it has smashed the record of Ram Charan's 'Game Changer' and become the biggest opening for an Indian movie through advance booking, according to Sacnilk. This Ram Charan starrer had made Rs 80 crore in advance ticket sales from worldwide gross. Meanwhile, when it comes to Tamil movies, the total first day number of Thalapathy Vijay's 'Leo' was Rs 143 crore. 'Coolie' has already collected Rs 100 crore in advance sales. The numbers coming from the current bookings on August 14 may be even higher. With that, the film may eventually shatter that record of Day 1 collection of 'Leo' and become the highest grossing first day Tamil movie. On the other hand, 'War 2' has earned Rs 16 crore gross so far when it comes to the advance ticket sales and thus, it's far behind 'Coolie' at the moment, but the film may eventually pick up with spot bookings. A lot will depend on word of mouth. But it may perform well in the Telugu states with JR NTR's presence who is a big star there. Though, even in the Telugu states, Rajinikanth's 'Coolie' may serve a huge competition.
