It's official, Prime Day has commenced. In a sea of discounted goods at the major shopping event, I'm eyeing a particular brand of shoes previously worn and loved by celebrities like Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift. Yes, I'm talking about Larroudé, the seemingly overnight shoe sensation founded by former fashion editor Marina Larroudé. It's not hard to see why the '70s-inspired designs quickly found their way onto some of the most notable women. Both Gomez and Swift have been spotted wearing these shoes on multiple occasions—a testament to its comfort and ease of wear. In fact, Gomez's exact boot is currently 24 percent off.
Sydney Sweeney, Kaia Gerber, and Jennifer Lopez have all given the stylish yet (surprisingly) comfortable shoe their stamps of approval, too. That's because the quality is on par with some some of the more high-end designer shoes, yet come at a significantly lower price point. Now that they're discounted during Prime Day, you can get up to 50 percent off on some of its most popular styles.
Larroudé shoes have a distinctly unique style to them, yet maintain an everyday appeal. A simple pump gets a raffia makeover. Velvet shoes with crystal ornaments are also not uncommon. Ahead, you'll find some of our favorite Larroudé shoes on a limited sale for Prime Day.

Michelle Obama Reveals Why Sasha and Malia Had Different Relationships With Barack

THE RUNDOWN Michelle Obama revealed that Barack had a different experience parenting each of their daughters. During a recent conversation with Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union on the latest episode of her and Craig Robinson's podcast, the former first lady opened up about how Malia, 27, and Sasha, 24, related differently to their father growing up. She explained that Malia was naturally more inquisitive. 'I'd say this to Barack, when it comes to, you know, [our] oldest, Malia, she is going to figure out who you are, what do you like, and let's discuss it,' she said. She recalled that even in her adolescence, Malia made time for thoughtful conversations with her father. 'When Malia was a teenager, it wasn't that she was going out any less or doing anything differently,' Michelle said. 'She would tell me, 'I'm going out this weekend, but I'm going to go in and give dad like 15 minutes.'' Those check-ins weren't just small talk. 'She'd go into the Treaty Room and be like, 'Tell me about Syria,'' Michelle continued. 'Barack would come out and be like, 'I just had an amazing conversation with Malia.'' Michelle noted that Sasha had a different approach. 'Sasha is like a cat. She's like, 'Don't touch me, don't pet me. I'm not pleasing you. You come to me.'' Michelle emphasized that parents need to be flexible, saying you 'have to be a chameleon. Some people parent to one child, or one personality child, but then you have three.' The conversation echoed themes Michelle has touched on before, especially when it comes to giving her daughters the space to find their own way. 'It's very important for my kids to feel like they've earned what they are getting in the world,' she said during a June appearance on Sibling Revelry with Kate Hudson and Oliver Hudson. 'They want to be their own people.'

When to Watch 'The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox'—The True-Crime Drama Everyone Will Be Talking About

Nearly two decades after she first made international headlines, Amanda Knox is bringing her story to the screen—on her own terms. The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox, an eight-episode Hulu limited series created by This Is Us showrunner K.J. Steinberg, dramatizes Knox's wrongful conviction for the 2007 murder of her roommate, Meredith Kercher, and her 16-year fight to reclaim her name. Knox serves as an executive producer alongside Monica Lewinsky, with Grace Van Patten (Tell Me Lies) portraying her on screen. Sharon Horgan, John Hoogenakker, Francesco Acquaroli, Giuseppe De Domenico, and Roberta Mattei round out the cast. The series blends real-life facts with dramatic details, exploring how public opinion shaped one of the most publicized true-crime cases of the 21st century. As Steinberg told Entertainment Weekly, 'The show explores the anatomy of bias. Certainly, there was misogyny and some could say racism and nationalism, and lots of isms—the show is not short on those. But Amanda firmly believes, and I actually firmly believe, that those police and the prosecutor were not bad actors. They came with a set of beliefs, they formed opinions on the scene, and those became some actual biases became entrenched in, and that entrenchment is what is and what was dangerous.' In an exclusive essay for ELLE, Knox writes, 'On August 20, the limited series The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox premieres on Hulu, and with it, a new doppelgänger is born. Her name is Grace Van Patten, and she plays me at 20, naive and bewildered—and me at 35, a haunted and determined mom venturing back to Italy to confront the man who threw me in prison. Grace is supremely talented, and watching her embody me on screen is both eerie and beautiful. She brings her own vulnerability, empathy, and intelligence to the role.' The premiere arrives Wednesday, August 20, kicking off a weekly rollout. The limited series will run for eight episodes total. Hulu debuts the first two episodes on Wednesday, August 20. New installments will follow weekly on Wednesdays until the finale airs on October 1. Episodes typically become available to stream on the platform at 12 A.M. PT / 3 A.M. ET. The multi-hyphenate actress will star in the new adaptation of Kiss of the Spider Woman, written for the screen and directed by Bill Condon (Dreamgirls, Chicago). Ben Affleck and Matt Damon also serve as executive producers. The project marks the second feature-film take on the award-winning story, following the 1985 version that earned William Hurt an Oscar and also starred Sonia Braga and Raúl Juliá. Ahead of its release this fall, here's everything to know about the upcoming remake. Kiss of the Spider Woman is based on the 1976 novel by Manuel Puig and the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical, which was written by Terrence McNally and composed by John Kander and Fred Ebb. The film's official synopsis reads: Valentín, a political prisoner, shares a cell with Molina, a window dresser convicted of public indecency. The two form an unlikely bond as Molina recounts the plot of a Hollywood musical starring his favorite silver screen diva, Ingrid Luna. Jennifer Lopez stars as the Hollywood diva and titular Spider Woman, Ingrid Luna. Diego Luna (Andor, Y tu mamá también) plays Valentín, the political prisoner, and Tonatiuh (Carry-On, Promised Land) plays Molina, the window dresser. Lopez and Luna also serve as additional executive producers. In a January 2025 interview with Variety, Lopez expressed how much she's always wanted to star in a musical. 'I was waiting my whole life to be able to do a real big MGM Hollywood musical, and I finally got to do it,' she said. She continued, 'I got into movies because of West Side Story. I thought I was going to do Broadway. I wanted to do musicals. I love musicals. My kids love musicals. My mother did. It was a dream fulfilled in having done the movie.' Kiss of the Spider Woman will be released in theaters on October 10. Yes! On August 20, the official trailer was released. The official poster was also unveiled: You can also watch the teaser that was released on June 5. This story will be updated.
