Ex-Arsenal ace Tomas Rosicky taken to intensive care with 'heart-related issues'
Sparta Prague have confirmed that their sporting director Tomas Rosicky, the former Arsenal midfielder, was taken to hospital after experiencing 'heart-related issues' on Tuesday.
Rosicky was rushed to intensive care for further assessment and checks and it was subsequently decided that the 44-year-old did not require surgery.
The 2014 FA Cup winner has since been discharged from hospital is now receiving care and treatment at home, where he is expected to make a full recovery.
In a statement on their official website, Sparta Prague passed on their support to Rosicky asked for fans to give the ex-Czech Republic international privacy at this difficult time.
'Our sporting director, Tomas Rosicky, was unexpectedly hospitalised in the intensive care unit last Tuesday due to heart-related issues,' the statement read.

'Neither Tomas nor the club will disclose further details.
'Fortunately, no surgery was required. Tomas, you have our full support. We're all thinking of you.
'Until this official announcement, only a few closest members of the club and his family were aware of the situation.
'Given the seriousness of the matter, both the club and Tomas chose to communicate publicly only after he was released into home care late last week.'
Rosicky says the frightening experience has taught him to 'take better care' of himself in the future.
'As a player and sporting director, I've always gone all in. Full effort, no hesitation,' he said. More Trending
'But this situation has shown me that I need to take better care of myself. Poor lifestyle habits, lack of physical activity, and family predispositions unfortunately brought me here.
'The good news is that I'm expected to make a full recovery, though I'm currently unable to carry out the demanding responsibilities of a sporting director.
'I'll remain in touch with my colleagues as we've always operated as a team. We have a clear vision, strategy, and structured processes in place. The guys will take care of it.'

Asked after the Champions League triumph whether she would remain at Arsenal Kelly remained coy in a recent interview. 'Who knows?' She admitted. 'I just know that I've given my all for the club and the club's given their all to me, so I'm always grateful.' However, it appears that talks between player and club are currently underway, with Arsenal noting in their retained list that 'discussions are ongoing' over a new deal for Kelly.

Tottenham 'axe three of Ange Postecoglou's backroom staff' as they step up search for his successor
Three members of Ange Postecoglou 's backroom staff are set to follow him out of the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this summer. Spurs confirmed on Friday afternoon that Postecoglou would not be returning for a third season, with the 59-year-old sacked just 16 days after overseeing a famous victory against Manchester United in the UEFA Europa League final. That win ended Tottenham's 17-year wait for a major trophy and secured a place in the next edition of the Champions League. But it was not enough to save Postecoglou, who also oversaw a 17th place finish in the Premier League — the club's lowest ever. Postecoglou's departure was communicated by the club via a 368-word statement. That statement did not mention whether or not any other staff members were also leaving. But according to The Telegraph, Spurs chiefs have decided to axe Postecoglou's assistant coaches Mile Jedinak, Nick Montgomery and Sergio Raimundo. Meanwhile, Ryan Mason — who also worked as an assistant coach under Postecoglou — left Spurs earlier in the week to take the vacant manager's job at West Bromwich Albion. Senior coach Matt Wells and goalkeeping coach Rob Burch are said to have remained with Spurs for now, although that could change after Postecoglou's replacement is announced. That replacement is likely to be current Brentford boss Thomas Frank but he is not the only man in the frame. Brentford do not want to lose Frank and will demand significant compensation, believed to be in the region of £10million, if he leaves for Spurs. Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is expected to step up his search for a new manager in the coming days, with Marco Silva and Scott Parker also in the frame.

Thomas Frank responds to Tottenham approach after Ange Postecoglou sacking
Brentford manager Thomas Frank is interested in replacing Ange Postecoglou at Tottenham, according to reports. Spurs finally confirmed Postecoglou's sacking on Friday evening in a statement which claimed that they could not keep the 59-year-old in place because of the 'emotions' of winning the Europa League. Postecoglou guided Spurs to their first trophy in 17 years last month with a 1-0 victory over Manchester United in the Europa League final in Bilbao. However, Postecoglou ultimately lost his job due to his side's woeful Premier League campaign in which they finished 17th in the table with 22 defeats. Tottenham are now in talks to secure Postecoglou's replacement ahead of their pre-season campaign and an approach has been made to Frank. According to The Telegraph, Frank is interested in becoming Tottenham's next manager and the Brentford boss is regarded as 'the leading candidate'. The report adds that Frank still has a positive relationship with Spurs' sporting director, Johan Lange, following their time together at Danish side Lyngby. Postecoglou, who earned a £2 million bonus for winning the Europa League and was given a £4m compensation package by Tottenham, is also said to have received immediate interest from clubs following his dismissal. Elsewhere, Portuguese newspaper Record reported on Friday night that Fulham manager, Marco Silva, is 'very close' to reaching an agreement with Spurs.
