vivo introduced the vivo V50 in February, and today, the brand will follow it up with the vivo V60, which will be unveiled at an event in New Delhi, India. The event will begin at noon IST (6:30 AM UTC), and you can follow it with us by tuning in to the stream below.
vivo hasn't detailed the V60's specs sheet, but the brand has revealed its design and key features, which include the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 SoC, Android 15-based Funtouch OS 15, a quad-curved display, and a 6,500 mAh battery.
The vivo V60 will sport four cameras co-developed with ZEISS - a 50MP selfie, a 50MP primary, a 50MP telephoto, and an ultrawide unit of unspecified resolution. The smartphone will come with AI Four-Season Portraits and an India-exclusive Wedding vLog feature.
The vivo V60 will be IP68 and IP69-rated, and it will be available in Auspicious Gold, Moonlit Blue, and Mist Gray colors. vivo V50 128GB 8GB RAM ₹ 32,999

We finally know how powerful the Galaxy S26 will be, and it should get you excited
It seems like Samsung may be giving up on its plans for a Galaxy S26 lineup powered by its in-house Exynos 2600 chipset. The Galaxy S26 Edge has just been spotted on Geekbench, powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 2, and putting out some pretty impressive listing shows the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 2 excelling at both singe-core performance as well as multi-core operation. Single-core performance score: 3,393 Multi-core performance score: 11,515 For context, the previous Snapdragon 8 Elite chip used across the Galaxy S25 series scored as follows: Single-core performance score: 2,869 Multi-core performance score: 9,495 These results were recorded on the Galaxy S25 Ultra, as its lower-end counterparts took a very marginal hit. For further comparison, here's how the iPhone 16 Pro and its A18 Pro chipset compared: Single-core performance score: 3,449 Multi-core performance score: 8,573 Clearly, the multi-core performance on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 2 is leagues ahead of Apple's last flagship phone. And, if Apple's new release schedule is correct, then the base iPhone 18 may not even get a chance to use a better chip when facing off against the Galaxy S26 next year. The Exynos 2600 is supposed to be a 2 nm processor manufactured by Samsung Foundry, but ongoing yield issues are preventing the company's vision from seeing the light of day. These same problems prevented the 3 nm Exynos 2500 — now found in the Galaxy Z Flip 7 — from debuting alongside the Galaxy S25 . Samsung, it seems clear, still has some ways to go before it can finally switch back to its Exynos chips. However, there is also the possibility that the Galaxy S26 phones will go back to region-specific chipsets. As such, we may actually see an Exynos-powered Galaxy flagship next year anyway, and the S26 Edge found in the aforementioned listing might only make it to certain markets. I wouldn't hold my breath, however, as recent reports still maintain that Samsung is having problems with its 2 nm chip manufacturing process.

Samsung beats Apple for the 'super-premium' throne in this huge smartphone market
India has been a very important battlefield for the world's top smartphone vendors for many years now, and the latest regional sales report put together by the International Data Corporation (IDC) provides quite a few interesting and somewhat conflicting findings for a lot of major mobile hardware brands. The likes of Vivo, Samsung, Apple, Oppo, Motorola, Xiaomi, and OnePlus all have reasons to be delighted... and disappointed with their Q2 2025 smartphone shipment figures in the world's most populous nation, and just like when we discussed those numbers published by Counterpoint Research a couple of weeks back, it's difficult to name the region's biggest winner... or biggest loser for this year's April to June timeframe. If you're the least bit familiar with the Indian smartphone market, you probably already know that iPhones aren't as popular as many affordable Android devices. But I bet you didn't expect to see Apple surpassed by Motorola in addition to Vivo, Samsung, Oppo, Realme, and Xiaomi. That's right, the Cupertino-based tech giant is only India's seventh-largest smartphone vendor as of the end of Q2 2025 despite boosting its market share from 6.7 percent during last year's April-June quarter to 7.5 percent now and improving its sales numbers by a solid 19.7 percent year-on-year. Vivo was number one in Q2 2024, and is still India's top smartphone vendor. Incredibly enough, Motorola managed to bump up its own second-quarter scores by a whopping 39.4 percent between 2024 and 2025, and even more incredibly, there were at least two brands that registered bigger progresses in the same period of time. Specifically, 84.9 percent for Nothing (which is however still not one of the country's top ten vendors), and 68.4 percent for IQOO (which is ranked right behind Apple and ahead of Poco and OnePlus in eight place). OnePlus, mind you, registered the largest decline between its Q2 2024 and Q2 2025 shipment scores in India, at a painful 39.4 percent, followed by Poco and Xiaomi. All in all, the IDC estimates that Q2 sales jumped by a healthy 7.3 percent from last year, but if you add the numbers from the previous quarter, you get a 70 million total for 2025's first six months that's only 0.9 percent larger than the market's H1 2024 tally. Of course, any progress is better than no progress, but the country's annual growth after a mediocre 2024 is expected to be "limited" by "subdued consumer demand" over the remainder of 2025. What's the difference between the "premium" and "super-premium" segments? A phone's price, of course, with models available for anywhere between $600 and $800 falling in the former category and those costing more than $800 earning a place in the latter. Surprisingly (or not), that means Samsung has the most successful super-expensive smartphones in India, undoubtedly spearheaded by the state-of-the-art Galaxy S25 Ultra. Before doing a victory dance in front of their iPhone-loving friends and foes, however, Galaxy aficionados should know that their favorite brand's advantage over Apple in India's super-premium division was almost negligible, at 49 to 48 percent market share. Those are some very interesting fluctuations for almost all major brands... apart from Vivo. Meanwhile, Apple's lead over... everyone else in the "standard" premium segment was absolutely massive, as the "vanilla" iPhone 16 and iPhone 15 came together to account for more than 60 percent of the category's shipments. Also, this was by far the market's largest grower of all categories, at almost 100 percent. Of course, the "mass budget" and "entry-premium" segments remain easily the biggest of the bunch, at 42 and 27 percent shares respectively, and those categories are obviously not dominated by Apple. Instead, Vivo continues to sell the largest number of smartphones priced between $100 and $400 in India, followed by Oppo and Samsung. That explains Vivo's overall market supremacy, as well as Apple's inability to crack even the nation's top five vendors group, let alone the top three.

Samsung Galaxy A07 color options and specifications leaked
The upcoming Galaxy A07 from Samsung has seen its fair share of leaks. Most recently, the phone was spotted on a certification site. While design renders of the smartphone had leaked earlier, new renders show the phone in three color options. The phone is expected to launch this month. As per renders shared by a tipster, the Galaxy A07 will be available in three color options - grey or dark blue, green, and light blue. The images also reveal some specifications of the handset. It will be equipped with a 6nm SoC, offer an IP54 rating, and sport a 6.7-inch HD+ LCD display with 90Hz refresh rate. The Galaxy A07 will also get six years of Android updates and security patches. Samsung's Galaxy A07 will be a budget offering and is rumored to run Android 15 out of the box. The phone may offer 6GB of RAM and the 6nm SoC could be the MediaTek Helio G99. Source
