Los Angeles FC vs Flamengo prediction, odds and betting offer
LAFC will be keen to end their Club World Cup group stage campaign to end on a high note as they face a Flamengo side who are keen to maintain their 100% record in Group D
Flamengo have already punched their ticket to the last 16 with Group D victories over Esperance de Tunis and Chelsea, and they look poised to continue their flawless run against an already-eliminated Los Angeles FC.
Being in the thick of their Serie A season has evidently benefited Flamengo, and even with potential squad rotations from manager Filipe Luis, their robust defensive setup makes them formidable opponents.
Currently leading the Brazilian league with 24 points from 11 matches, Flamengo have only let in four goals. Their impressive comeback win over Chelsea, finishing 3-1, extended their winning streak to six games. During this ten-match unbeaten run, they've kept seven clean sheets.
In contrast, LAFC have struggled to adapt to the demands of the Club World Cup. Despite showing some promise in a 2-0 defeat to Chelsea, their recent lacklustre 1-0 loss to Esperance de Tunis offered little to be optimistic about.
Against Esperance, LAFC managed just two shots on target, one being a Denis Bouanga penalty saved deep into injury time. This performance is part of a broader trend, as they've only secured three wins in their last 11 matches.
Facing Flamengo's staunch defence, LAFC are unlikely to find much success. The Brazilians are expected to secure victory in what could be a tightly contested affair.
