They say: A double-sided lip liner pencil that features two hues to create the perfect contoured lip look. The pigmented pencils are available in four shade combinations to suit all skin tones. Long-wearing and blendable, they're the 'trick for fuller-looking lips.'

We say: The right lipliner can add some oomph to your lips, no need for plumping products. Our tester found this pencil to be easy to use. She lined her lips with the darker 'sculpting' shade before adding touches of light and filling in with the lighter hue. The result? A '90s supermodel inspired pout.

Clé de Peau Beauté Precious Gold Vitality Serum
Article content
They say: A luxury face serum from Clé de Peau that's infused with 'the radiance of gold' thanks to a 24-karat Gold Retinol Complex. The smoothing serum addresses signs of aging and daily skin fatigue, providing a plumping and firming effect.

We say: This is a seriously luxurious serum, our tester reports. One pump (too precious, perhaps, for more), applied to cleansed and toned skin provided an immediate dose of hydration and smoothness. Boasting a weightless feel, this serum left our tester's skin appearing more luminous and radiant.

Glow Recipe Glass Balm
Article content
They say: A high-shine lip treatment that features hyaluronic microspheres and fruit actives to deliver 12 hours of lip hydration and a 'glasslike glow.' Available in four shades/flavours inspired by bingsoo, a Korean shaved ice dessert.

We say: Summer beauty calls for a slick kiss of lip gloss, mascara — and not much else. This new release from Glow Recipe delivers on the lip love, providing a non-sticky dose of seriously glassy shine and a kiss of colour. Our tester found the product gave her lips a much-needed dose of moisture and an easy-breezy tint. The soft pink shade Watermelon Bingsoo is a new favourite lip treat.

Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders say they're getting a 400% increase in pay

(AP Photo/Gareth Patterson, File) The Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders say they are getting a serious increase in pay. One of the cheerleaders has said during the second season of the Netflix series 'America's Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders' that the members are getting a 400 per cent boost in pay. The cheerleaders have been pushing for pay increases for years. In 2019, the Cowboys settled a lawsuit with a former cheerleader that led to the squad doubling the per-game pay, from US$200 to US$400. The latest raise is four times that. 'Our efforts were heard and they wanted to give us a raise,' four-year veteran Megan McElaney said on the show. 'And we ended up getting a 400 per cent increase, which is like, life-changing.' According to ESPN, the Cowboys agreed to pay four cheerleaders a total of US$2.4 million nine years ago to settle claims by the women that the team's longtime public relations chief, Rich Dalrymple, filmed them in the dressing room. Dalrymple denied the claims, and the club said its investigation found no wrongdoing by him. Dalrymple retired not long before the settlement became public in 2022. The Cowboys have been the most valuable pro sports team in the world for almost a decade, according to Forbes magazine. That number was US$10.1 billion in rankings published late last year. 'Happy' isn't even the right word for it,' former cheerleader Jada McLean said on the show. 'I think I was just ... kind of felt, like, a relief, like everything had paid off. And it was, you know, finally, we were done fighting.'

Makeover: A fresh look for a 50th high school reunion

Wendy Morris, 69, was attending her 50th high school grad reunion and wanted a little special treatment to celebrate herself. Article content Wendy has medium length and fine-to-medium textured hair. She wanted to refresh her colour so we applied neutral-beige highlights throughout to brighten her blond for the summer. After shampooing her hair with Oribe Beautiful Blonde Shampoo and Conditioner, we sprayed the mid-lengths and ends with Oribe Run-Through Detangling Primer for added hydration. We then trimmed up her hair and styled it smooth. Article content
