Broadcaster and naturalist Sir David Attenborough will present a new immersive experience at the Natural History Museum this summer. The 98-year-old is best known for presenting documentaries highlighting the wonders of the natural world. The new display, called Our Story With David Attenborough, is set to open in June and will be located in the museum's Jerwood Gallery. Special technology will help bring the gallery walls and floor to life with footage of the natural world.
"Humanity is the most influential species on Earth," said Sir David. "We depend entirely on this magnificent planet, yet its future is in our hands."My hope is that visitors of all ages will experience our extraordinary journey at the Natural History Museum and come away feeling inspired, informed and most of all, empowered about their integral role in our world."
The 50-minute 360 degree immersive experience will begin at the planet's birth more than four billion years ago, where Sir David will take visitors through our earliest beginnings and how we came to change the world around us.He also reflects on the good and the bad he has witnessed throughout his career and shares his hopes for our planet.Jonnie Hughes, who is the co-founder and director of Open Planet Studios which helped create the special experience, said it was a "pleasure" to work with Sir David on the project. "He is always eager to investigate new ways of telling stories", he said."By surrounding the audience with wonderful imagery, music and sound, we can take them anywhere and to any time, from the very birth of life at the bottom of the ocean on the ancient earth, to a rainforest clearing populated by a family of gorillas, to the near future, when we have all played a part in building a better, more stable world."

Over the course of seven days, the comedians are tasked with daily challenges that teach them important and valuable life skills. The show aired on Dave which is known for its comedy shows. However, the future of the show is in doubt, and might never return. Speaking at the Edinburgh TV Festival, UKTV execs confirmed: "It is not currently returning and we have announced that. Would we look at that show again in the future? "Maybe. Not currently. He loved doing it. We loved working with him. "We definitely would be interested in other ideas with David Mitchell... "We have a fantastic relationship with him. He is a stunning piece of talent." "What a dreadful phrase that is. But yeah fresh new interesting ideas he is pretty busy. "He is quite a difficult man to get a lunch appointment with. We never say never absolutely." Trailer for BBC crime series Ludwig David might not have time for Outsiders as he is enjoying huge success with his BBC murder mystery series, Ludwig. The show follows puzzle maker John 'Ludwig' Taylor as he assumes the identity of his police detective brother to solve his disappearance. When the show's first series aired on BBC One last year, it pulled in 9.5 million viewers. In turn this saw Ludwig quickly became the BBC's biggest scripted show in two years and secured the title of the network's largest comedy launch in six years. After its record-breaking success, it was no surprise the BBC confirmed a second season back in October. Earlier this year, David was quizzed on what fans can expect from the next chapter of Ludwig's crime-solving adventures. "I can't tease anything. The scripts are being written now, and it wouldn't help any viewers to know any more about it than that. We will be shooting this year," he told The Hollywood Reporter. "Our hope and aim is to give more of the same: the ongoing, intriguing narrative and the same weekly, resolved mystery. "Other than that, I don't really know much more, but I'm also under instructions not to say any more! "I'm big on going into a program knowing only the bare minimum because surprise is a huge part of entertainment."

The Walking Dead's David Morrissey banned from driving after 'speeding three times in a week'

The Walking Dead star David Morrissey has been banned from driving after he was caught speeding three times in a single week. David, 61, was sentenced after he was caught driving his black Mini Countryman at 46mph in a 40mph zone on the A406 in north west London early in the morning on August 2 2024. Two days later, he drove 55mph and 48mph in 40mph zones on the A40 near Greenford on August 4 and 5. He wasn't at the hearing at Willesden Magistrates' Court on Tuesday and was given a £5,700 fine. "Morrissey should pay the full £1,500 costs for the trial last week included in the fine," prosecutor Maya Arputham said. David already had nine points on his licence and was given nine more, meaning he has an automatic ban from driving for half a year. He previously denied but was found guilty of three charges of excessive speeding. Conall Bailie, who represented the State of Play actor, said: "There will be no issue in Morrissey paying the fine. But the court costs are a significant amount. The trial was a matter that took up less than three hours of court time. It wasn't particularly lengthy." District Judge Jack Walsh replied: "The sum of £1,500 in court costs appears to me to be eminently reasonable. I have found all three offences proved. He is convicted of all three offences. He did not have a clean driving record. "The case he put to court was entirely illegitimate, and he had a chance to come to court and give evidence. A defendant who forces the prosecution to pay attention to such close detail to prove his case is likely to be liable to the full prosecution costs as a result of adopting that sort of approach to the case."

Talking Heads' David Byrne, 73, engaged to girlfriend after almost 10 years of dating

Talking Heads frontman David Byrne subtly announced his engagement to successful financier Mala Gaonkar during a recent interview about his upcoming album, Who Is The Sky? Talking Heads lead singer David Byrne is engaged to his girlfriend, Mala Gaonkar, after almost a decade of dating. The 73-year-old musician and Mala, 55, started dating after meeting in 2016 while working on a production for The Makers series at the Stanford Arts Institute. ‌ The star confirmed the happy news during an interview, where he referred to Mala as his fiancée. David talked about his new album, Who Is The Sky?, and where the track, Moisturizing Thing, came to fruition when he referred to Mala as his fiancée. ‌ He said: "My fiancée will sometimes come at me with greasy hands, ready to smear my face. And at one point I thought, 'What if I wake up and really looked younger?'" ‌ Speaking to The Times, he added: "But there's a message, too. About how people judge us by the way we look. You learn a lesson you didn't expect at the start." The Psycho Killer musician and his fiancée live together in New York, with the two keeping their relationship low key. They attended a few public events together over the last decade, including a screening for My Mother's Wedding this month, Dune: Part Two's premiere last year as well as the 2023 Academy Awards. David shares a daughter with his ex-wife Adelle Lutz, who he was married to from 1987 to 2004. Meanwhile, Mala's ex-husband is financier Oliver Haarmann, Reese Witherspoon's now partner. ‌ Mala, who has two sons with Oliver, is a financier and has a Master's Degree from Harvard University. She even founded SurgoCap Partners in 2022. During his recent interview, David discussed the possibility of reuniting Talking Heads. He called the idea a 'fool's errand' 34 years after the group split up. Fans were hoping for a reunion when the band teased an announcement in June. However, it was simply the music video for Psycho Killer, which starred Saoirse Ronan. ‌ The group haven't performed together since 1984, but had a small reunion in 2023. "On a practical level, trying to recreate the feeling that people had when they were in their early 20s? The time that they first heard that music? That's a fool's errand. And besides, I'm really enjoying what I'm doing," David explained. Members of Talking Heads include David, drummer Chris Frantz, bassist Tina Weymouth and guitarist-keyboardist Jerry Harrison. The group helped to pioneer new wave music and was one of the most critically acclaimed groups of the 80s.
