Iran: Commander of "Abuzar" Brigade, Five of His Comrades Martyred

The Iranian Army announced on Sunday evening that the commander of the 71st Mechanized Infantry Brigade (Abuzar), Brigadier General Ali Hossein Mohammadi, and five of his comrades martyred during a defensive mission on the country's western border.
The Iranian Army's Public Relations stated that Brigadier General Mohammadi and his comrades were martyred while repelling an air attack launched by the usurping Zionist entity using drones on the "Naft Shahr" region.
The Iranian Tasnim News Agency quoted the Commander of the Iranian Army's Ground Forces, Brigadier General Kioumars Heidari, as saying that these heroes bravely confronted the aggression until the last breath, stressing that "the 71st "Abuzar" Brigade has been a symbol of resistance and courage since the days of the Sacred Defense, as it was the first and last brigade to confront the attacks of the Ba'athist enemy at that time."
Brigadier General Heidari added, "The sons of this brave brigade, as in the past, today wrote another heroic epic in defense of the Islamic Republic, and ascended to the rank of martyrdom while confronting the treacherous aggression carried out by the criminal Zionist regime's drones."

In a related context, the Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Committee, chaired by Dr. Ali Al-Zanam, held a meeting attended by Ambassador Ismail Al-Mutawakkil, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for International Cooperation, along with ministry experts. The session addressed the committee's inquiries and observations directed to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates regarding the implementation of the ministry's duties, including efforts to break the blockade and achieve a just and comprehensive peace. The committee stressed the importance of continuing regional , international communications regarding the consequences of aggression and the effects of the Zionist onslaught on Yemen. Discussions also touched on the ministry's role in strengthening relations with Arab and Islamic countries, enhancing Yemen's diplomatic presence, and building partnerships based on mutual interests and non-interference in Yemen's internal affairs. The dialogue further highlighted efforts to deepen ties with nations resisting global domination and hegemony. The committee also reviewed the ministry's work related to international cooperation, coordination with UN and international organizations operating in Yemen, and the achievements made in this area. Additionally, discussions included the situation of refugees from the Horn of Africa and measures taken to reduce the influx of illegal migrants into Yemen. Meanwhile, the Committee on Media, Culture, and Tourism, chaired by Committee Rapporteur Mohammed Al-Junaid, met with Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Abdullah Al-Washli and several ministry specialists. The committee reviewed inquiries from its members regarding the ministry's progress on its assigned responsibilities in the government program. Topics discussed included the cultural and tourism sectors, the Heritage and Cultural Development Fund, the Tourism Promotion Fund, and economic, financial, and development policies. The committee also addressed the operational spending of these funds, resource collection mechanisms, and the need for transparency and oversight to ensure goals are met. The Deputy Minister provided updates on activities and measures taken in line with the government's general program and Parliament's recommendations regarding administrative development and institutional reform. The committee emphasized the need to protect historical artifacts and archaeological sites across the provinces, especially amid ongoing aggression. It also stressed the importance of preserving historic cities, particularly Old Sana'a and Zabid, as key tourist landmarks. The committee urged increased attention to all sectors and institutions under the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and requested a detailed, time-bound plan for all activities and goals in each area outlined in the Government of Change and Development program and relevant parliamentary recommendations. Sana'a - Saba: The University of September 21 for Medical and Applied Sciences in Sana'a Governorate organized two sit-ins on Wednesday to denounce the ongoing acts of starvation and genocide committed by the Zionist entity against the people of Gaza, and to express support for the fourth phase of escalation. Participants in the sit-ins, held at the university's main campus in Haziz and its branch on 50th Street in New Sana'a District, included university leadership, faculty, and students. They chanted slogans and raised banners condemning the continued atrocities committed by the Zionist entity against the Palestinian people in Gaza, amid shameful international silence and Arab and Islamic inaction.
