Tecno Spark Go 2 brings updated design and affordable pricing
Tecno's latest entry-level device is here with the Spark Go 2. As its name implies, this is the successor to last year's Spark Go 1 and most of the key specs are identical between the two.
Tecno Spark Go 2 in Ink Black and Titanium Grey
Spark Go 2 does get an improved IP64 rating compared to IP54 on the Go 1, and Tecno is bringing some new AI features, including the Ella AI assistant, which supports Indian regional languages.
Spark Go 2 features a 6.67-inch IPS LCD with HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. There's an 8MP front-facing camera and a single 13MP rear module despite the two cutouts on the back.
Unisoc's T7250 (aka T615) is also carried over from last year's model as are the 4GB RAM and 64GB built-in storage. Storage is expandable via the microSD card slot.
Tecno Spark Go 2 key specs
Spark Go 2 boots Tecno HiOS 15 based on Android 15, with the maker promising 4 years of lag-free experience. There are no details on software support, though. Spark Go 2 gets a 5,000 mAh battery with 15W charging.
Elsewhere, Spark Go 2 features stereo speakers with DTS tuning, a headphone jack, an IR blaster and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

A little more than over a year ago, Tecno tried to tease Nothing and OnePlus with a cheeky newspaper ad that you may or may not remember. A few things have happened since April 2024 until now, so it's OK if you've put this one at the back of your might even be asking yourself:Now, Tecno is not (yet) the single most well-recognized brand in the West, but the company is big across African, Middle East, Southeast Asian, South Asian, Latin American, and Eastern European markets. As exotic as Nothing and OnePlus may be, I'm sure you've heard of Tecno is ready with its next smartphone and this time around, there aren't any cheeky "shots fired" moments – at least for the time of engaging in tease campaigns, Tecno is focused on its own product: enter the Tecno Pova 7 has launched its ambitious Pova 7 Series with the intention of changing: from being a value-focused brand to a serious player in the midrange smartphone space. The series includes five models, led by the Pova 7 Ultra, designed with gamers and power users in mind:The Ultra model comes packed with a 6,000mAh battery, handy fast 70W wired and 30W wireless charging and runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Ultimate chipset. Tecno says it can deliver smooth 120 FPS gameplay in titles like PUBG and achieve over 1.5 million on AnTuTu design is presented as "Interstellar Spaceship" and incorporates sharp lines, curved-edge displays, and a distinctive LED lighting system. Across the series, users get a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen with a 144Hz refresh rate and peak brightness up to 4,500 nits – pretty respectable, as these are flagship specs. Of course, the marketed 4,500 nits of brightness are not available all the time for the whole screen, but nevertheless, the panel should be really are also Dolby Atmos-enhanced stereo speakers, haptic feedback, and vapor chamber cooling that round out the gaming-focused me, the most practical innovation is FreeLink, a walkie-talkie-style tool that allows nearby users (within 1 km) to call or message each other without relying on a mobile network. This off-grid feature could appeal to hikers, travelers, or those in emergency Pova 7 Series also leans heavily on functional AI. Yeah, I'd be surprised if a 2025 phone didn't. Built-in tools offer live translation, noise suppression, virtual assistant capabilities, and an on-screen object recognition feature (think of "Circle to Search"). Tecno Pova Curve hands-on review
The Pova Curve is yet another value-oriented option from Tecno. It aims to bring a stylish design along with features like a 144Hz AMOLED display and the usual assortment of AI features to the masses. The Tecno Pova Curve shares the basic design and software with the Infinix Zero 40 that we looked at last year. If this seems surprising then it shouldn't as both brands are owned by the same parent company, Transsion Holdings. Having said that, this isn't just a straight copy-paste effort like we sometimes see from other brands with a shared parentage. The Pova Curve comes in at a lower price point than the Zero 40, so it makes several changes to the spec sheet, including to the chipset and the cameras but manages to gain a bigger battery while somehow being thinner and lighter. At a starting price of INR 15,999, the Tecno Pova Curve is priced much more aggressively. Let's see if it manages to impress us like its older cousin. Unboxing The Tecno Pova Curve comes in iridescent packaging which contains the phone, a charger, and a USB cable. Tecno also throws in a clear silicon case but it's not great and the curved sides of the display mean it does not offer great protection in that area. Page 2
