Texas offers 2027 WR committed to Houston
The Texas Longhorns hosted a plethora of top recruits around the country for their Elite Camp over the weekend. One of them was three-star Aden Starling who attends Shadow Creek High School in Pearland, Texas.
Since last October, Starling has been committed to the Houston Cougars. However, in today's landscape of college football, the recruiting game never ends until a recruit signs. Having said that, Texas extended an offer to Starling before he left Austin.
Starling is the No. 440 overall recruit in the country and the No. 58 wide receiver per 247Sports composite rankings. They also have the 6-foot, 175-pounder as the No. 54 player out of Texas.
The word on Starling is that he's a polished route runner who has great get-off on the line of scrimmage. That was certainly the case during the Elite 11 Austin Regional in March where Starling was named one of the top performers.
It would behoove the Longhorns to get Starling back on campus soon if they want to flip his commitment.

Ohio State football announces future nonconference schedule changes
Ohio State football announces future nonconference schedule changes 🚨 Changes to @OhioStateFB 2029 and 2030 Schedules 🔘 Opening up the 2029 season with Navy, scheduled for Sept. 1, 2029 🔘 Added a game vs. Youngstown State to be played in Ohio Stadium on Sept. 15, 2029 🔘 Game vs. University of Nevada moved to Sept. 7, 2030 ➕:… — Ohio State Buckeyes 🌰 (@OhioStAthletics) June 4, 2025 With all the changes we've seen in college football the last few years, it sure seems like the same schedules that were made years in advance and mostly locked in have been adjusted more and more. Ohio State isn't immune either. We've seen additions, modifications, and cancellations of some of the future opponents as the Big Ten has expanded, the College Football Playoff has gotten bigger, and Name, Image and Likeness continues to change the landscape of talent on teams. On Wednesday, Ohio State announced further football nonconference schedule changes, and we're here to keep you in the loop. All told, there are three changes to the nonconference schedules in 2029 and 2030. Ohio State added a game against Navy for the season opener on Sept. 1, 2029. However, in order to make room for that game, the Buckeyes and the University of Nevada have agreed to move their previously scheduled game to Sept. 7, 2030. Ohio State also added a game against Youngstown State, to be played at Ohio Stadium on Sept. 15, 2029. That all means that the Buckeyes have just one game remaining to fill out their non-conference schedules over the next five years by way of the season opener on August 1, 2030. If anymore schedule changes come down the pipe during the offseason, we'll bring that to you, as well as other OSU athletics news. Former Izzo staffer, longtime NBA assistant hired by Phoenix Suns as head coach
Former Izzo staffer, longtime NBA assistant hired by Phoenix Suns as head coach The Michigan State connections are just building stronger and stronger in Phoenix for the Suns franchise. While former MSU walk-on Matt Ishbia is the owner of the team, he has snagged another MSU connection to be his next head coach. The Suns are hiring Cleveland Cavaliers assistant Jordan Ott as the franchise's next head coach. Ott previously spent time on Tom Izzo's staff as a video assistant, while also gaining his Master's degree from MSU. After his time at Michigan State, Ott went on to be an assistant coach at various levels in the NBA from 2013 to 2025, spending time with the Atlanta Hawks, Brooklyn Nets, Los Angeles Laker and Cavaliers. Now, he is getting his shot at being the head man in the league. Ott now joins Jim Boylen as the second former Michigan State assistant under Izzo to be a head coach in the NBA. Oregon Football to host No. 1 LB in 2026 class on official visit this week
Oregon Football to host No. 1 LB in 2026 class on official visit this week The Oregon Ducks' list of official visitors this weekend to kick off the month of June was already star-studded, but it got even more so on Wednesday morning. According to multiple reports, 5-star linebacker Tyler Atkinson, the No. 1 ranked LB in the 2026 class, will be taking an official visit to Eugene this weekend, checking out Dan Lanning and the Ducks. Atkins stands at 6-foot-2, 210 pounds, and is rated by the 247Sports Composite as the No. 9 overall player in the nation. Atkinson has had a good relationship with Lanning and his staff over the last year, but this visit will be a great opportunity for him to ingratiate himself in the culture at Oregon and see what it is like to be in Eugene. He will also have a chance to join some other elite prospects on campus, with the likes of 5-star Brandon Arrington, 5-star Richard Wesley, 5-star Calvin Russell, and 5-star Joey O'Brien all taking OVs to see the Ducks as well. Atkinson took an OV to Clemson last weekend, but doesn't have any other official visits on the schedule for this summer as of yet. He is still being recruited by the likes of Georgia, Ohio State, and Alabama.
