LSU baseball will see familiar foe in first game of College World Series
LSU baseball will see familiar foe in first game of College World Series LSU baseball will see a familiar foe when it gets to Omaha for the College World Series. LSU's first game will be vs. SEC rival Arkansas. LSU and Arkansas both punched their tickets after completing sweeps on Sunday. Arkansas took care of business vs. Tennessee while LSU beat West Virginia. The Tigers and Razorbacks met earlier this year in Baton Rouge, with LSU taking two of three for the series win. The Tigers won the Friday night meeting when Jared Jones scored on a walk-off sacrifice fly off the bat of Ethan Frey. LSU mercy ruled Arkansas in Game 2 before the Razorbacks got the best of LSU in Game 3. LSU and Arkansas are probably the strongest teams in the bracket, so meeting in Game 1 isn't ideal for either squad. The winner will be considered the national title favorite while the loser will have to play with its back to the wall. LSU's last trip to the College World Series came in 2023, where LSU also met an SEC foe in Game 1. The Tigers beat Tennessee to open their 2023 campaign in Omaha.

Schedule revealed for LSU baseball's super regional series vs. West Virginia
Schedule revealed for LSU baseball's super regional series vs. West Virginia LSU baseball is gearing up for its 17th super regional in program history after the Tigers won a decisive game 7 vs. Little Rock on Monday night to win the Baton Rouge Regional. Little Rock gave LSU all it could handle, but LSU stormed back from a 5-1 deficit for a 10-6 win. Jared Jones put the game on ice with a two-run homer in the top of the ninth. Now, LSU's attention shifts to West Virginia. After earning the No. 6 overall seed, LSU gets to remain in the comfort of Alex Box Stadium. LSU has good luck when the super regional is in Baton Rouge. Not so much when it goes on the road. On Tuesday, the schedule for LSU's meeting with WVU was released. After playing a game 7 on Monday, LSU was likely glad to see the super regional won't begin until Saturday. That will allow LSU's starters to pitch with normal rest. Expect Kade Anderson to start game one after Anthony Eyanson was used out of the bullpen on Monday. Here are the times for the Baton Rouge Super Regional Game 1: 1:00 p.m. CT 1:00 p.m. CT Game 2: 5:00 p.m. CT 5:00 p.m. CT Game 3: TBA For those of you who have grown tired of late-night games, you're in luck this weekend. LSU's first two games drew an earlier start, but weather could always force a change.

Trump and Melania to headline power-player packed Kennedy Center opening night
EXCLUSIVE: President Donald Trump, first lady Melania Trump, Vice President JD Vance and second lady Usha Vance will attend the opening night of the musical "Les Misérables" at the Kennedy Center next week, Fox News Digital has learned. "Les Misérables," one of the longest-running shows in Broadway and West End history, will have its opening night at the Kennedy Center on June 11. "I love the songs, I love the play," Trump told Fox News Digital Tuesday. "I think it's great — we may extend it." The president has famously played songs from "Les Misérables" at his rallies and events. "The Kennedy Center is coming back," the president told Fox News Digital. "It was not properly taken care of and we are taking it back and we are going to turn it back into something great." Kennedy Center President Richard Grennell told Fox News Digital that "'Les Misérables' is proving to be a huge hit." "Opening night is going to be electric," Grennell told Fox News Digital. Kennedy Center officials told Fox News Digital that there will be a red carpet for opening night and that select members of the media will be invited to attend. Officials also said that attendees of the opening-night performance will be encouraged to walk the red carpet. Meanwhile, Kennedy Center officials told Fox News Digital that the first two weeks of the performance are nearly sold out, exceeding $3 million in ticket sales at the box office and exceeding the typical sales timeline. "We expect sales to exceed all expectations, surpassing the previously defined goals," a Kennedy Center spokesperson told Fox News Digital. Meanwhile, sources told Fox News Digital that the president is committed to revitalizing the Kennedy Center, with some suggesting it should eventually be renamed "the Trump–Kennedy Center." The Kennedy Center has two affiliates — the National Symphony Orchestra and the Washington National Opera. The new leadership team is currently working on business plans with its affiliates to ensure the Kennedy Center has larger endowments and "greater sustainability."
