Bahrain Bourse (BHB), a licensed exchange by the Central Bank of Bahrain, in collaboration with INJAZ Bahrain, concluded the 2024-2025 Smart Investor Program with an Awards Ceremony held on Sunday, 11th May 2025. The event was attended by Her Highness Shaikha Hessa Bint Khalifa Al Khalifa, Chairperson of INJAZ Bahrain alongside senior officials from the Ministry of Education, Board members and the executive management of both entities, school coordinators, and participating students. Now in its seventh consecutive year, the Smart Investor Program continues to serve as a key national initiative aimed at strengthening financial literacy among young learners. Delivered through engaging, activity-based learning, the program introduces foundational concepts in personal finance, including budgeting, saving, and financial planning, empowering students with practical knowledge for real-world financial decision-making. The program's success underscores Bahrain Bourse and INJAZ Bahrain's ongoing commitment to fostering a financially savvy and responsible generation. This year's edition of the academic year culminated in the Smart Investor National Competition, designed to test students' comprehension and application of financial concepts. A total of 48 teams competed in a two-phased selection process. In the first stage, students submitted short videos creatively illustrating one of the core financial concepts of the Smart Investor Program. The second stage required teams to conceptualize a mobile application designed to support financial planning. The ceremony concluded with the announcement of the top three winning teams across both school categories. For the government schools category, the first-place award was presented to Aamina Bent Wahab Primary Girls School, the second-place award to Hamad Town Primary Girls School, and the third-place award to Al Mustaqbal Primary Girls School. For the private schools category, the first-place award was presented to Al Hekma International School, the second-place award to Modern Knowledge Schools, and the third-place award to Al Raja School.
Additionally, the 'Best Video' award from the first stage of the competition was presented to H.H.Shaikha Moza Bint Hamad Al Khalifa Comprehensive School for the government schools category and Canadian School Bahrain for the private schools category.

More than 1,000 students from local high schools and universities showcased their skills and talent at the 17th annual Young Entrepreneurs Competition hosted by Injaz Bahrain. The event, held at Crowne Plaza Bahrain under the patronage of Sheikha Hessa bint Khalifa Al Khalifa, Chairperson of Injaz Bahrain, marked a significant milestone in fostering entrepreneurial spirit and innovation among Bahraini youth. This year's competition carries added significance as Injaz Bahrain celebrates its 20th anniversary — marking two decades of empowering young minds and nurturing the kingdom's future business leaders. The event featured a diverse array of 20 student companies, with 10 each from high school and university and levels. The students participated in intensive assessments, team-building activities, and inspiration sessions over two days, culminating in a grand Awards Ceremony that recognised outstanding achievements across various categories. This year, the competition also introduced five signature awards to highlight exceptional achievements. These include the Excellence in ESG Award by Bapco Energies, Best Booth and Brand Award by BASREC, Rising CEO Award by bni, Best Financial Performance Award by CrediMax and Excellence in Technology Award by NBB. Distinguished individuals served as judges in both the High School Track and the University Track, including representatives from prominent organisations including Dana Alhaddad from Beyon; Eng Jassim Darwish from GPIC; Nezar Habib from stc Bahrain and Yasser Al Khaja from Investcorp Holdings in the High School Track; Abdulaziz Tawfeeqi from Infracorp; Ali Alaradi from BDB; Amin Sultan from Alba; and Marwa Aleskafi from Tamkeen in the University Track. Injaz Bahrain also hosted signature awards judges: Buthaina Amin from Bapco Energies; Narjis Almoosawi from BASREC; Nada Mohamed from CrediMax; Amgad Abdelaal from NBB and Rayan Al Mahmood, Ammar Al Raees and Abdulla Al Basteki from bni. 'Design Your Future' Campaign Announces Ninth Edition of the Annual Business Quiz Show and Opens Registration for Companies and Banks

The 'Design Your Future' campaign has announced the launch of the ninth edition of its Annual Business Quiz Show, scheduled to take place on 24 August 2025. This announcement coincides with the beginning of the campaign's second edition, launched in strategic partnership with Mastercard, the official knowledge partner for this edition. The Design Your Future initiative is designed to support high school graduates, university students, and vocational training participants in adopting a structured and proactive approach to career planning and development. The Business Quiz Show forms an integral part of the campaign's broader objective to develop and highlight Bahraini talent across key national economic sectors. Participating companies and institutions will engage in quiz-based challenges designed to assess their industry knowledge and analytical skills in areas critical to Bahrain's positioning as a regional business and innovation hub. Registration is currently open for companies and corporates wishing to participate. This year's edition will take place over five evenings, with university students joining company teams to foster collaboration between emerging talents and business professionals. Each evening will focus on a specific sector, where four teams will compete in knowledge-driven rounds covering topics related to Bahrain's economic landscape and sector-specific developments. The sectors featured in this edition include banking, insurance, industry, and general business. Winners from each sector will advance to the final round, which is scheduled for 28 August 2025. Ms. Zahraa Taher, Chairperson of the Advisory Committee of the 'Design Your Future' campaign, stated: 'The Annual Business Quiz Show offers a unique opportunity for university students to engage with leading professionals from Bahrain's foremost companies. This initiative continues to highlight national competencies and provides a platform for future leaders to demonstrate their potential.' The second edition of the Design Your Future campaign will feature a range of exciting programmers and events, including the DYF Business Quiz Show, the DYF Podcast, a host of high-level workshops, and the Skills Hunt event, fostering teamwork, skill-building, and professional growth. TDT | Manama A new chapter has opened in Bahrain's capital market with the election of Yousif Abdullah Al Yousif as Chairman of Bahrain Bourse, following a complete reformation of the exchange's Board of Directors by royal decree. The leadership change signals a strategic pivot as the bourse sharpens its focus on competitiveness and investor confidence. Strategic reset The board meeting on Sunday marked the first convening since His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, issued Edict (1) of 2025 to reform Bahrain Bourse's board. Alongside the chairman's election, Yousif Abdullah Ali Reza was named Vice Chairman, and new board committees were formed in line with the Corporate Governance Code. The revamped board includes Nabeel Saleh Abdulaal, Raed Abdulla Fakhri, Eman Jawad Al Asfoor, Habib Jawad Habib, Fatema Hamad Abul, Abdulla Abdulrazzaq Bukhowa, and Aisha Mohammed Abdulmalik. Pledging alignment During the meeting, the board expressed gratitude to HRH Prince Salman for the confidence placed in them and pledged to align closely with Bahrain's economic development vision. The leadership underlined its aim to reinforce the bourse's role as a key driver of growth, promising to create an investment environment that appeals to both domestic and international players.
