
Health minister chairs meeting to discuss conditions, priorities
A meeting held today in Sana'a, chaired by the Minister of Health and Environment, Dr. Ali Shaiban, discussed the performance evaluation of the implementation plan for urgent government priority projects.
The meeting, which included undersecretaries of the Ministry, directors of health offices, and hospital authorities via video conference, reviewed aspects related to school visits and summer courses to enhance health awareness among students.
He addressed the status of private medical facilities and the pricing of medical services, aspects related to updating the Private Medical Facilities Law, the current situation of hospital authorities, and requirements for improving their performance.
During the meeting, the Minister of Health emphasized the need to quickly implement plans and projects related to the priority and reform plan for the health sector, and to combine efforts to address emergencies and implement the required interventions.
He emphasized the need to raise the level of performance, improve services, strengthen oversight, supervision, and follow-up, and ensure everyone has a sense of responsibility to enhance the role of the health sector in facing challenges.

The anniversary of the Prophet's birthday carries a spiritual and religious fragrance emanating from the sense of mercy embodied by the Prophet of Mercy and Humanity (peace and blessings be upon him and his family), and expresses the values he called for, namely solidarity, compassion, and charity. As the 12th of Rabi' al-Awwal approaches, various official and community sectors are competing to implement charitable and charitable works, enhance relief and humanitarian efforts, and care for the poor, reflecting the noble values of Muhammad. The Yemeni people have begun to act in accordance with the approach of the Noble Prophet, both in word and deed, by showing compassion toward one another and caring for the poor and needy. In this context, the health sector's participation in this great occasion is not limited to celebratory activities; it also includes establishing medical camps and providing free medical services in various hospitals and health centers. Since the beginning of Safar, the Ministry of Health has begun implementing exceptional programs and activities aimed at alleviating the suffering of patients, especially those in the poor, and bringing joy to their hearts and the hearts of their families, embodying the spirit of the Prophet's message. The health sector has ensured that government and private hospitals celebrate the Prophet's birthday by offering significant discounts on medical services out of love for the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his family). In a statement to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), Minister of Health and Environment Dr. Ali Shaiban emphasized the importance of utilizing the Prophet's birthday to promote the values of compassion and solidarity promoted by the Great Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family). He explained that the Ministry has directed all its offices in the capital and governorates to circulate to all public and private hospitals and health facilities to provide free medical examination services to all citizens, reduce the cost of other medical services, and offer special discounts to the families of martyrs and the wounded on this auspicious occasion. Death toll from famine, malnutrition in Gaza rises to 235, including 6 children
