Joe Rogan Takes a Shot at Katy Perry's Flower Stunt During Space Trip
Joe Rogan is the latest celebrity to lampoon pop star Katy Perry over her participation in the all-female Blue Origin space flight led by billionaire Jeff Bezos' fiancé, Lauren Sánchez.
On the Saturday episode of his The Joe Rogan Experience podcast, Rogan sarcastically lauded Perry as 'very profound' in response to her description of the 10-minute journey, which saw her kiss the ground upon her return to Earth.
'I don't know if you've seen Katy Perry talk about it, but she's basically a guru now,' said Rogan, who also took aim at Perry's decision to take a daisy flower with her into space.
Upon her return, Perry explained that it was 'super important' to bring the flower along with her as an homage to her 4-year-old daughter Daisy, whom she shares with actor Orlando Bloom. She was seen showing off the flower and several snaps from the flight's camera feed.
Perry called the experience 'second to being a mom,' People reported. 'That's why it was hard for me to go because that's all my love right there, and I have to surrender and trust that the universe is going to take care of me and protect me and also my family and daughter.'
As he reviewed clips of the flight with his guest, comedian Tim Dillion, Rogan quipped, 'Look at her nails, so pretty.'
Beyond his barbs, Rogan said the flight was an opportunity to 'celebrate female astronauts' and all the training it takes.
Accompanying Perry and Sánchez into space was also journalist and Oprah bff Gayle King, NASA rocket scientist Aisha Bowe, astronaut and bioastronautics research scientist Amanda Nguyen, and filmmaker Kerianne Flynn.
Actresses Emily Ratajkowski and Olivia Munn have each blasted the flight, with Ratajkowski accusing the flight of 'destroying the planet.'
Martha Stewart also took a jab at Perry with a video suggesting her trip aboard a Boeing 727 called G-Force One was better as she 'experienced what astronauts feel when they reach zero gravity.'
In perhaps the sharpest critique directed at Perry, the social media account for the Wendy's fast food chain urged to 'send her back.'

Timelapse: Northern Lights visible in Sonoma County
(KRON) — The aurora borealis was visible in the northernmost region of the Bay Area Saturday night and early Sunday morning. Local photographer Alexander Glavtchev sent these images of last night's Northern Lights from Windsor, Calif. Watch the video at the top of this story for a timelapse of the event. There's another chance the northern lights will be visible in northern Sonoma County between Sunday night and early Monday morning. Stargazers in the city won't be able to view the lights. However, the lights may be visible online using AlertWidlfire cameras. The Northern Lights occur when energetic particles from the sun collide with atoms and molecules in the Earth's atmosphere, creating glowing colorful skies, according to NASA. Video: Second cliff rescue at San Francisco's Battery Crosby in two days 'Auroras, also known as the northern or southern lights, are colorful and dynamic displays that glow in the night sky,' the NASA website reads. 'Auroras occur in an upper layer of Earth's atmosphere called the ionosphere, but they typically originate with activity on the sun. Occasionally, during explosions called coronal mass ejections, the sun releases charged particles that speed across the solar system.' The best regions for viewing tonight's aurora borealis are highlighted in a map provided by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. With 'Atmosphere,' Taylor Jenkins Reid leaves the Evelyn Hugo-verse behind and travels to space
Taylor Jenkins Reid recalls a moment writing her new novel, 'Atmosphere: A Love Story,' set against NASA's robust 1980s shuttle program, where she felt stuck. She went, where she often goes, to her husband to talk it through. 'I said, 'I can't write this book. I don't know enough about the space shuttle. I don't know what happens when the payload bay doors won't shut and you have to get back within a certain amount of revs, but they can't land at White Sands. They have to land at Cape Kennedy.' And he's like, 'Just listen to yourself. You know so much more than you knew a couple months ago. Keep doing what you're doing.''

Scrub recap: overnight SpaceX rocket launch from Cape Canaveral delayed
Scrub recap: Scroll down to read updates from the scrubbed SpaceX Starlink 12-19 mission, which was set to liftoff early June 2. The next launch attempt is no earlier than 12:29 a.m. on June 3. Original story: Up late? SpaceX has plans to launch a rocket overnight. A Falcon 9 rocket is set to lift off on June 2 from Cape Canaveral Launch Complex 40 on the latest Starlink mission, which is being refered to as Starlink 12-19. SpaceX has confirmed liftoff is now targeted for 1:24 a.m. The Space Force 45th Weather Squadron predicts a 75% chance of favorable conditions for launch. It also states a low chance for poor weather in the booster recover area, which will stationed east of Florida in the Atlantic Ocean. According to Space Launch Delta 45, the rocket will travel on an eastern trajectory upon liftoff. This is a rare occasion as Starlink launches typically fly southeast or northeast. No middle-of-the-night sonic booms will be heard on the Space Coast, as the rocket's first stage will land on a SpaceX drone ship stationed out on the Atlantic Ocean. When is the next Florida launch? Is there a launch today? Upcoming SpaceX, Axiom, ULA rocket launch schedule at Cape Canaveral Countdown Timer Update 12:41 a.m.: SpaceX has updated that the launch is now no earlier than 12:29 a.m. on June 3. No official reason has been provided for the scrub. Update 12:35 a.m.: May 30 marked the five year anniversary of the first time Falcon 9 launched NASA astronauts aboard a SpaceX Dragon spacecraft. The Demo-2 mission certified the Dragon to fly NASA astronauts, but the spacecraft and Falcon 9 rocket have since flown three private missions as well. Update 12:20 a.m.: On May 27, Starship launched again from Texas on its ninth test flight. While the ship (upper stage) made it further than the previous two flights, it ended up in a spin which caused it to break apart over the Indian Ocean. SpaceX had also hoped to test the deployment of a payload, which were mockup Starlink satellites, on this mission. The payload door failed to open correctly. One thing which went correctly was the high quality footage beamed via Starlink. SpaceX posted the following images to X. Tonight's Falcon 9 liftoff is set for 1:24 a.m. Update 12:05 a.m.: Starlink posted a customer photo of Starlink service at work out on the water. SpaceX Starlink internet boasts service almost anywhere the sky is visible. This includes places where cell phone service isn't available. Tonight, 23 more Starlink satellites will be launching from Cape Canaveral. Update 11:54 p.m.: The 45th Weather Squadron predicted a 75% chance of favorable weather. The National Weather Service radar is currently clear. Skies over Brevard County are currently hazy. Brooke Edwards is a Space Reporter for Florida Today.
