Steve Miller Band is hitting the road this summer: Where they'll play, how to get tickets
The ever-durable Steve Miller will hit the road this summer for a 31-date tour.
Kicking off Aug. 15 in Bethel, New York, and wrapping Nov. 8 in Anaheim, California, the tour will boast classic rock hits from the Steve Miller Band, whose "Greatest Hits 1974-78" is one of the 25 bestselling albums of all time.
Last year, Miller, 81, and his taut band joined Def Leppard and Journey for a summer stadium run, packing the set with guitar-heavy favorites including "Rock'n Me," "The Joker," "Swingtown" and "Take the Money and Run."
Tickets are on sale now via www.stevemillerband.com.
Earlier this year, Miller's iconic "Fly Like an Eagle" was inducted into the Library of Congress's National Recording Registry. His reach also spanned generations when Eminem sampled 1982's "Abracadabra" on his 2024 hit "Houdini." During his performances on last year's stadium tour, Miller thanked the rapper for using the song.
Miller will also be honored June 9 with the Les Paul Spirit Award, named for the famed guitar innovator.

Reggie Miller's Pacers commentary enraged Knicks fans during Game 6
It's understandable that Indiana Pacers legend Reggie Miller might want to see his old team win the 2025 Eastern Conference Finals over the New York Knicks. However, it's hard to ignore how a little bias seeped into Miller's broadcast of Game 6 on Saturday night. Advertisement After star Knicks superstar center Karl-Anthony Towns went down to the court and looked to be in pain while holding his knee, Miller doubted the New York standout was actually ailing before he went to the free-throw line. "I think he's fine," Miller said on the broadcast. "I think this is all for show." It's... very fair to ask if he'd make that kind of commentary if a Pacers player hit the court and was holding their knee in pain. Well... that's not awkward at all. Just listen to the way Miller and co-announcer Stan Van Gundy discuss how the series has been officiated. This seems likely to invite some very fair criticism from New York fans of a skewed broadcast. If you're a Knicks fan, it's hard to listen to this series broadcast and think the announcing has been fully fair to New York. With Miller's involvement, you'd be well within your rights to call shenanigans. This article originally appeared on For The Win: Reggie Miller's Pacers commentary enraged Knicks fans during Game 6

High schoolers pitching in to clean up Struthers
STRUTHERS, Ohio (WKBN) – There will be lots of activity on Saturday in Struthers, and the community is invited to pitch in and help. City leaders will be hosting their annual Struthers Clean-Up Day, picking up litter and trash, holding used tire and appliance recycling drives, and performing some landscaping and beautification projects. It's an idea Mayor Catherine Miller started when she first took office in 2020. 'Tomorrow, we're going to be doing a lot of litter pick-up, so we're going to be walking the streets. We have a lot of kids from the high school coming. I talked to the football coach, the basketball coach — both women's and men's — our cheerleaders from the middle school and high school will all be here. So we have a lot of volunteers for clean-up day, we're just hoping the rain holds off a little bit,' Miller said. The work will begin Saturday around 8 a.m. and continue through the noon hour. Photo by Rocco Spaziani/UPI | License Photo May 30 (UPI) -- Max announced Friday that The Alto Knights will begin streaming on the service June 6. The movie premieres on HBO June 7 at 8 p.m. EDT. The film stars Robert De Niro in the dual roles of Frank Costello and Vito Genovese, two rival New York mobsters. The film follows their lives from their friendship at New York's Alto Knights social club through an attempted assassination of Costello and the Apalachin meeting of 1957. Barry Levinson directed from a script by Nicholas Pileggi, the writer of Goodfellas and Casino and the books upon which those films were based. Debra Messing plays Costello's wife, Bobbie. In an interview with UPI, Messing said Bobbie was trying to get Costello to retire. The couple moved to Long Island at her urging. Pileggi and producer Irwin Winkler also spoke with UPI about how Costello and Genovese represented "the end of the mob." The film also stars Cosmo Jarvis, Kathrine Narducci, Michael Rispoli and Wallace Langham.
