Five Lionesses nominated for Women's Ballon d'Or
Four English players have been nominated for the Men's Ballon d'Or, with Jude Bellingham, Harry Kane, Cole Palmer and Declan Rice all on the list.
Scotland's Scott McTominay is a nominee following his stellar season with Napoli, where he helped the team clinch the Serie A title in their final game of the season.
Hampton is also nominated for the Yachine Trophy, given to the best women's goalkeeper.
The 24-year-old Chelsea goalkeeper was a key cog in the Lionesses' Euros victory, where she made two brilliant saves in England's penalty shoot-out win against Spain in the final.

Jadon Sancho has held talks with two new clubs as he tries to secure a move away from Manchester United before the transfer deadline. Old Trafford boss Ruben Amorim has included Sancho in his 'bomb squad' this summer along with the likes of Alejandro Garnacho, Antony and Marcus Rashford. United have already successfully offloaded Rashford – the England forward joining Barcelona on loan – but are struggling to get Sancho, Garnacho and Antony off the books. Sancho completed a £73m move to Manchester United in 2021 and arrived at Old Trafford with a huge reputation as one of the most exciting players in the Bundesliga and an England international. But the 25-year-old failed to live up to expectations, scoring just 12 goals in 83 appearances for the Red Devils. Sancho even had a public bust-up with former United manager Erik ten Hag and partly as a result was sent on loan to Chelsea last season. According to Football Italia, Roma have entered the race to sign Sancho and are in 'active contact' with both the player and United over a deal. Roma boss Gian Piero Gasperini is said to be a huge admirer of the winger and keen to welcome him to his squad this summer. But another transfer option has emerged for Sancho in the form of Turkish giants Besiktas. The club's president Serdal Adali confirmed on Monday that he was pushing to sign Sancho for Besiktas manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, the Manchester United legend. 'Just as much as the community wants him, I want him too,' Adali said, as reported by Turkiye Today. 'What matters is not only our desire, but also if the player wants to come to Turkey. Jess Carter ‘relieved' non-Black players missed penalties after Lauren James at Euro 2025
Jess Carter has admitted she felt 'relief' when three of her non-Black England team-mates joined Lauren James in missing penalties in the Euro 2025 quarter-final shootout against Sweden. Carter, who was the target of online racism during the tournament, feared James would have been on the receiving end of 'astronomical' social media abuse if she had been the only England player to miss. Beth Mead, Alex Greenwood and Grace Clinton all missed, too, with the Lionesses still managing to progress to the semi-final. They then beat Spain in the final in another shootout. Carter told ITN: 'It's horrible to say but it's almost like a sigh of relief when other players that weren't black missed a penalty, because the racism that would have come with LJ (Lauren James) being the only one that missed would have been astronomical. 'It's not because we want them to fail – it's about knowing how it's going to be for us (England's black players) if we miss.' Carter revealed the psychological impact of the abuse she suffered made her feel 'scared' when England head coach Sarina Wiegman told her she had been selected to play in the final. 'That's the first time I've ever been scared; too scared to play,' she said. 'I think it was a mixture of such a big game but then on top of that, (I was) scared of whatever abuse might come with it, whether it's football based or whether it was going to be the racial abuse that was going to come with it because I did something wrong.' Speaking about the impact the abuse had on her, Carter added: 'It makes you feel really small. It makes you feel like you're not important, that you're not valuable. 'It makes you second guess everything that you do – it's not a nice place to be. It doesn't make me feel confident going back onto the pitch. My family was so devastated by it as well and so sad.'
