Teal candidate Nicolette is ahead of Liberal Gisele Kapterian by just 19 votes in a neck-and-neck contest for the seat of Bradfield.

John Pesutto ordered to pay $2.3 million debt in three weeks

Lawyers for Liberal MP Moira Deeming have filed a bankruptcy notice against Victoria's former Liberal leader John Pesutto. It comes after he failed to pay a $2.3 million legal bill for losing a defamation case in 2024. He has 21 days to pay, enter a payment plan or declare bankruptcy. Former Victorian premier Jeff Kennett has asked his party to cover the debt. Declaring bankruptcy will axe Mr Pesutto from parliament, triggering a by-election in the marginal seat of Hawthorn.

‘Infested with politics': Sesame Street continues to push ideologies on children

Sky News host James Macpherson criticises the children's television show Sesame Street for 'politicising children". 'The reason they infest everything with politics is because politics is everything,' Mr Macpherson said. 'No one would dispute that it is good to teach kids to be loving and respectful, but the clue is they only do it during pride month and specifically regarding LGBTQ. 'Then they accuse anybody who objects to this as being against love and acceptance. 'What people are annoyed about is politicising children.'
