He added that they have sought the leadership of the Pahang Youth Council to study a module which focuses on this initiative.
'We will have a retreat next month for youth backup leaders and, through this programme, we want to produce youth with high resilience,' he told reporters after launching the Pahang Youth Festival in conjunction with the 2025 National Youth Day celebration here today.
He also upheld the decree of the Sultan of Pahang, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, for the 'Mara Lasak' Programme to be implemented statewide.
He added that they are targeting 1,000 youths to take part in the programme when it is implemented in Jelai early next year.
'The 'Mara Lasak' Programme was last implemented in Ulu Dong, Raub, involving a 10-kilometre (km) run through various obstacles, such as forest trails, river crossings and hilly terrain. That first 'Mara Lasak' programme was participated by 50 teams, each comprising 10 members,' he said.
Elaborating on the May 16-18 Pahang Youth Festival, Fadzli said this year's celebration was very encouraging among youths from diverse backgrounds.
'The state government is very serious about implementing such programmes to draw close to as many youths as possible statewide. We have prepared over 50 programmes throughout this festival, involving 13 main segments covering sports, culture, entrepreneurship and so on,' he said.
Meanwhile, Public Service director-general Wan Ahmad Dahlan Abdul Aziz said a total of 2,500 participants, comprising civil servants and members of the local community, took part in the 20th Public Service 'Majlis Amanat Perdana' (MAPPA XX) Run today.
The Tengku Mahkota of Pahang, Tengku Hassanal Ibrahim Alam Shah also joined the programme, which began at 7.30 am.
Wan Ahmad Dahlan said the MAPPA XX 2025 Run tour series kicked off in Pahang and will continue to be held in Penang (June 28), Sarawak (July 6), Sabah (July 12), Putrajaya (Aug 15) and Johor (Aug 16).
'This programme showcases the healthy lifestyle that needs to be practised by not only civil servants but by everyone in the country,' he said after officiating the launch of the MAPPA XX 2025 Run.

ALOR GAJAH, Aug 16 (Bernama) -- The Melaka government is committed to improving educational facilities in the Rembia state constituency, said Chief Minister Datuk Seri Ab Rauf Yusoh. He said that the initiative involved the construction of a new building for the Alor Gajah District Education Office worth RM15.9 million and a new building for the Datuk Seri Mohd Zin Vocational College valued at RM15.8 million. 'Given the large number of students in the area, the state government has also proposed the construction of a new national secondary school to the federal government. 'Insya-Allah, we will strive to ensure that it is included in the 13th Malaysia Plan,' he said at the closing ceremony of the Rembia-level Wakil Rakyat Untuk Rakyat (WRUR) Programme and the launch of the 2025 state-level National Month and Flying the Jalur Gemilang campaign at Dataran Keris tonight. Also present were State Science, Technology, Innovation and Digital Communications Committee chairman Datuk Fairul Nizam Roslan, who is also the Rembia constituency coordinator and state secretary Datuk Azhar Arshad. Ab Rauf said that the state government had also agreed to build a Sekolah Rendah Agama (SRA) or religious primary school, in Kampung Rembia and a kindergarten in Kampung Sungai Petai as high-impact development projects for next year. He said that the Melaka Islamic Religious Department (JAIM) had allocated over RM90,000 to upgrade two SRAs in the Rembia constituency and the Sekolah Menengah Arab Al-Faizin in Jelatang. Ab Rauf added that the state government had allocated RM8.6 million through the Melaka Health Department to upgrade the second operation theatre at Alor Gajah Hospital, which is expected to be completed by April 2026. 'In addition, RM1.4 million has been approved to repair the roof of the Alor Gajah Health Clinic's Klinik Ibu dan Anak unit, while RM435,000 has been allocated for repairs at the Rembia Health Clinic,' he said.

Civil servants must share positive messages on social media, says Chief Secretary
PUTRAJAYA: Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar has reminded civil servants to use social media to convey positive messages that benefit the people and the country. He stressed that it should not be misused to condemn or slander others, but instead be used to promote good values, share information on reforms, and highlight the achievements of the civil service. "Use social media for good. We have 1.3 million civil servants and if all share on their social media about reforms in the civil service, the values in public administration, and encourage people to do good, it would be better than us hitting out and criticising others,' he said. He said this at the 'Reformasi Satu Kemestian' (Reform is a Must) session with the Chief Secretary to the Government in conjunction with the first anniversary of civil service reforms here Tuesday (Aug 12). Shamsul Azri also reminded civil servants to comply with Regulation 19 of the Public Officers (Conduct and Discipline) Regulations 1993, which prohibits officers from making public statements contrary to government policy. He said the committee monitoring social media involving civil servants had found that many at times allowed emotions to take over, were unable to control their feelings, and thus wrote things that should not be written. "So, I appeal to everyone, write only good things because it will bring peace to our hearts, and the reward from such good deeds will continue,' he said. Shamsul Azri also stressed that the silo working culture in the civil service must be stopped as it is detrimental to organisations and affects the effectiveness of service delivery to the people. He said the silo mentality arises when individuals or departments feel that they or their units are better than others, to the extent of refusing to share knowledge or cooperate. "So this is a challenge for the Chief Secretary to the Government, the Director-General of Public Service and all secretaries-general to break down the silo walls,' he said.
