FINE LINE Don't be fooled into microbladed brows or lip blush – I too was sold a lie but I'm still getting laser 9 years on
WAKING up with perfectly sculpted brows and a rosy lip tint - is what most people want after getting microbladed brows and lip blush.
But for one beauty fan, this wasn't the case.

The TikToker, who is known as 'mskittenheels', has shared her story online and it's racked up over 218.2k views in just a few days.
Back in 2016, she was sold on the idea of getting microblading, which is a type of cosmetic tattoo where a small blade is used to create tiny, hair-like strokes on your eyebrows, along with a lip blush.
But she was told that it would fade away in around 18 months.
But fast forward nine years to 2025, "they still haven't gone.'

While the makeup did fade from its original "thin and brightness" she loved, the beauty fan revealed that it just didn't disappear.
The lip blush, in particular, bled over her natural lip line as her skin softened with age, leaving her with a look she never wanted.
But now she is trying to get rid of it, and now she is in the middle of a painful removal process, using saline for her lips and laser for her brows, with several more sessions to go.
She wants everyone to know: "It's so much more painful to get rid of it than it is to have it done."

"Don't be fooled," she writes in the caption section.
She was told it was semi-permanent, but she realised it's just "a tattoo on your face."
I tried the viral '53 method' to banish my 'chins' without going under the knife and the results were astonishing
But she explains that her biggest takeaway is microblading and lip blush aren't temporary, they're permanent, and getting rid of them is a long and painful journey.
One wrote: 'When I heard about these 10 years ago, I knew exactly how they would look within a few years.'

To which she replied: 'I wish I had that foresight. I'm really regretting mine.'
A second added: 'Don't forget the dreaded upper and lower eye liner that looks like eye shadow now.'

To which the TikToker replied: 'I'm so glad I didn't have that (I was too nervous about the pain around my eyes) but yes I've seen that on other people and it's turned a blue colour.'

Someone else asked: 'I really want my microblading removed but worried about how much it'll cost and how many sessions I'll need. How much did your session cost?'
And the TikToker replied: 'My original session was nine years ago and it cost about £240 at the time and then £80 for the top up a few weeks later.
'Honestly I wouldn't recommend it after all the pain I'm going through to get them removed but others have told me theirs have come out fabulous so I really think it depends on who you go to and the technique used.'

Irish TikTok creator to 'rebrand' after toy giants u-turn on law suit

The Irish creator behind Sylvaniandrama has confirmed that the channel will be rebranded after a lawsuit against her was dropped. Thea Von Engelbrechten is the mastermind behind one of TikTok's most popular parody channels Sylvaniandrama. Her videos were widely beloved on social media for their unhinged skits involving the little animal families: parodying everything from kidnapping, drug abuse, to divorce. However, fans were confused when the channel suddenly went quiet several months ago. It then came to light that Thea was being sued been sued in the US by Epoch, the Japanese toy and computer games company behind Sylvanian Families over her videos. The company claimed that Von Engelbrechten's videos had caused 'irreparable injury' to their reputation. Thea, from Kildare, was just 19 when she started the channel back in 2021 – and the videos quickly skyrocketed in popularity. She currently has over 2.5 million followers on TikTok and one million on Instagram. However, they also eventually caught the attention of Epoch Company Ltd., the Japanese toy and video game company who own Sylvanian Families. The toy giant wasn't impressed (Image: Sylvaniandrama/TikTok) Epoch filed a lawsuit against the creator, claiming the videos could confuse potential purchasers of Sylvanian Families toys into believing that they have been produced or authorised by Epoch. They were suing her over issues pertaining to copyright – including 'creating, publishing, and disseminating online advertising videos' on the back of brand deals with companies like Marc Jacobs and Burberry. A pre-trial conference was set for August 14, where the legal teams from both sides were to meet to explore settlement options or prepare the case for trial. However, Epoch has since dropped its suit against the skit creator. On August 8, the company voluntarily dismissed all claims "without prejudice," with each side covering its own legal costs. On the same day, Thea posted on Instagram: "Hi guys, on the 19th August I will be changing the name and profile picture of this account. I'm not sure what to change it to yet so please let me know if you have any suggestions". Fans flooded the comments with suggestions of what the channel could be renamed to. Popular suggestions included "notsylvaniandrama", "CancelledCritters" and "Desperate Mousewives". Previously, news of the lawsuit had caused fan uproar on social media, with many believing that the videos actually helped promote Sylvanians online. TikTok account @junk_mom posted: 'Imagine if every little girl that ever posted a video on YouTube making her stuffed animals talk to each other was sued by the corporation that made those stuffed animals.' She continued to say that Sylvaniandrama 'opened up a lot of new people to the Sylvanian toys.' 'Sylvanian drama is literally doing free advertising for them, that's so sad,' one comment added. 'Why sue her she's literally giving them customers,' another wrote. A third pointed out that many other people have also created channels around creating fake scenarios with popular toys. They wrote: "It's like the old videos on YouTube we'd watch as a kid of people doing the same thing with Barbie's... It's always been a thing." She made the shocking confession on the At Home With The Thomas Brothers podcast, where she joined her fiance and his two brothers for the latest episode. The mum-of-two explained: 'This family's weird. Not normal." Looking at Scott and Adam, she added: 'The other day you [were] filming TikToks at ours and I was trying to try on clothes for holiday and every time I came out in an outfit, they were both wolf whistling me. 'This is so inappropriate.' To this, Ryan laughed and admitted: 'I love it though.' In hysterics, reality star Scott, who quit Love Island All Stars earlier this year, joked: 'Me and Adam were like 'oh, I like that one.'' Following this, Lucy then added: "Basically the only tight dress I came out in they were wolf whistling me.' Clearly unbothered by his brother's actions, Ryan shared: 'They were sat there like 'she's fit you know.' In an attempt to shift the blame to single Scott, happily married dad-of-two Adam laughed: 'Scott was like, we're gonna come round here more often.' Lucy Mecklenburgh cruelly shamed for 'flaunting her wealth' as she breaks down in tears over moving to a HUGE home Big divide The short clip, which was shared on the official TikTok podcast page @thomasbrospodcast just 15 hours ago, has clearly left many open-mouthed as it has quickly racked up 199,700 views. But social media users were left totally divided by Scott and Adam's actions - while many thought it was abnormal and accused Scott of being 'obsessed' with his sister-in-law, others saw the funny side. I think Scott fancies Lucy TikTok user One person said: 'Not normal.' Another added: 'Lucy is Scott's type to a T. He is obsessed.' A third commented: 'I think Scott fancies Lucy.' Lucy Mecklenburgh and Ryan Thomas sleep in 'separate' beds Lucy Mecklenburgh recently admitted she struggles to get decent shut eye thanks to her partner being a "nightmare sleeper". She made the confession on the At Home With The Thomas Brothers podcast, joining her fiance and his two brothers for the latest episode. Lucy explained: "Basically we sleep in separate bedrooms because Ryan is a nightmare sleeper." His brother Adam joked: "He's always trying it on with me," while their sibling and Love Island star Scott quipped: "He always wants a cuddle." They were all left in hysterics, with mum-of-two Lucy saying: "I mean that is annoying..." She continued: "Basically Ryan snores, he sleep talks, he whacks me in his sleep." Ryan cheekily replied: "I weren't asleep darling," leaving them in fits of giggles. TV personality Lucy then explained the reason behind their decision to sleep separately. She said: 'It's just to get a good night's sleep. And that's just become normal now. But sometimes I do sleep with Roman.' But at the same time, one user beamed: 'Love this family banter.' A second gushed: 'I absolutely love this family.' Whilst someone else wrote: 'Infectious laughs… love this family! How it should be.'
