Arab Parliament delegation visits UAE Floating Hospital in Al Arish
Al Arish: A high-level delegation from the Arab Parliament, headed by Mohammed Ahmed Al Yammahi, President of the Arab Parliament, visited the UAE Floating Hospital in the city of Al Arish.
The delegation conducted a comprehensive tour of the hospital's various departments and reviewed the medical and humanitarian services provided to patients.
During the visit, the delegation members met with several Palestinian patients receiving treatment at the hospital. They listened to their experiences regarding the level of healthcare and humanitarian support offered by the Emirati medical teams.
The delegation was also briefed on the progress of "Operation Chivalrous Knight 3" in Al Arish, which is part of the UAE's efforts to support the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.
The delegation learned about the operation's management mechanism and the types of assistance being provided, which include food and health packages, kits for children and women, clothing packages for children, and various other forms of relief aid. Delegation members participated in the packing of some of these aid packages.
Al Yammahi praised the significant efforts made by the UAE in supporting the Palestinian people and alleviating their suffering, affirming that these humanitarian initiatives reflect genuine Arab values and a shared sense of Arab solidarity.
The UAE Floating Hospital is considered one of the UAE's most prominent humanitarian initiatives under "Operation Chivalrous Knight 3".
It was launched on February 23, 2024, to provide comprehensive healthcare services to those injured in the Gaza Strip.
The hospital is staffed by specialised medical teams and equipped with advanced capabilities to deliver urgent medical care and psychosocial support to the wounded.
Operation Chivalrous Knight 3 began on November 5, 2023, under the directives of Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President, to support the Palestinian people in Gaza.
Since its launch, the UAE has provided over 70,000 tonnes of relief, medical, and food aid, demonstrating its deep commitment to alleviating the suffering of the Palestinian people.

Murder toll from Israeli aggression on Gaza rises to 55,706
Gaza: The murder toll from the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip since 7 October 2023, has risen to 55,706 martyrs, in addition to 130,101 wounded. The Ministry of Health in Gaza said that 69 martyrs and 221 wounded arrived at hospitals in the Strip over the past 24 hours. The murder toll since the occupation violated the ceasefire agreement on 18 March 2025 has risen to 5,401 martyrs and 18,060 wounded. The ministry noted that the murder toll among those waiting for aid since this morning has reached 12, in addition to more than 172 injured, who were transported to hospitals by civil defense crews. The ministry said that the murder toll from the aggression reached 55,706 martyrs and 130,101 wounded, stressing that these figures remain unofficial due to the presence of thousands of other victims under the rubble of destroyed buildings, as rescue teams cannot reach them. The humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip is becoming increasingly complex due to the Israeli occupation's intransigence in preventing the entry of humanitarian aid to the population, and the continued bombing of all areas, including the remaining medical and service facilities, and the tents of the displaced.

"Hope remains": UAE's enduring humanitarian aid for Gaza illuminated in global documentary
Abu Dhabi: The International Humanitarian and Philanthropic Council has released a documentary film highlighting the humanitarian efforts and initiatives provided by the United Arab Emirates to the residents of Gaza affected by the humanitarian crisis in the Strip. The film tells real-life stories of individuals who represent thousands who have received aid from the UAE, embodying the nation's historic humanitarian role in supporting the brotherly Palestinian people. Titled "Hope Remains," the film premiered on the global Discovery Channel, reflecting international appreciation for the UAE's leading and continuous role in supporting Gaza's residents. As of last November, the UAE's contributions accounted for 42 per cent of the total humanitarian aid provided to the Strip since October 2023, amounting to USD 828 million. The documentary showcases the values of generosity and fraternity that define the UAE, its people, and residents. It features firsthand accounts from beneficiaries of UAE initiatives and interviews with aid workers involved in this humanitarian journey. Through unique and unprecedented scenes, the film illustrates the transformative impact on the health and psychological well-being of many who received assistance and initiatives. Beneficiaries recount the difficult circumstances they endured during the war and their initial despair, followed by the rekindling of hope, all conveyed through a narrative style that blends personal experience with storytelling.
