Police launch manhunt for trio caught on TikTok violently assaulting man in Nibong Tebal
Seberang Perai Selatan (SPS) district police chief Supt Jay January Siowou said the police had earlier come across a two-minute, five-second video uploaded on TikTok, showing a man being beaten and forced into a four-wheel-drive vehicle by three male suspects.
"Preliminary investigations revealed that the incident took place at 7.16 pm on July 16 (yesterday). It is believed to have stemmed from allegations of jewellery theft involving the victim.
"In the video, the three men are seen punching and kicking the victim on the head and body without using any weapons before forcing him into the vehicle,' he said in a statement tonight.
He said the victim, who suffered injuries to the head and face, received treatment at a hospital.
Police have also arrested the victim to facilitate investigations into a theft case and he has been remanded for four days until July 20.
Members of the public with information on the incident are urged to contact the investigating officer, Insp Sarina Mohd Adam, at 017-2912781 to assist in the investigation. — Bernama

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 7 — Police are searching for a man who abandoned his Mercedes-Benz car that was involved in a crash that killed a 17-year-old motorcyclist in Seremban. Police are calling for witnesses or anyone with relevant information to come forward to assist the investigation.

Seven foreigners arrested over Klang murder case in Malaysia
SHAH ALAM: Police have arrested seven foreigners in connection with the murder of a man in Bandar Sentosa, Klang. The suspects, aged between 20 and 34, were detained following a report lodged by a foreign woman on July 23. South Klang district deputy police chief Supt Kamalariffin Aman Shah confirmed the arrests. The murder reportedly took place at a shophouse in Lorong Laksamana 20, Bandar Sentosa. The victim, a 28-year-old foreign man, was allegedly stabbed in the body and neck by his housemate. Investigations revealed that a dispute during a drinking session led to the fatal stabbing. Six other foreigners at the scene attempted to dispose of the body by burying it at a garbage disposal site. Police later recovered the victim's body along with the suspected murder weapon. The investigation papers have been submitted to the deputy public prosecutor. All suspects will be charged in the Klang Court today. The main suspect, a 34-year-old man, faces a murder charge under Section 302 of the Penal Code. Four other male suspects will be charged under Section 201 for concealing the body. Dangerous U-turn that went viral leads Kluang police to driver who nearly caused crash (VIDEO)
KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 7 — Police have arrested a 51-year-old local man for driving against traffic at a busy junction in Kluang, Johor, following a viral video clip showing the incident. The 24-second video, which was circulated on Facebook, shows a Proton Exora being driven against the flow of traffic at a slip road near Taman Megah. According to Kluang police, the incident occurred at around 4pm on Aug 4 at KM57.4 of Jalan Batu Pahat–Mersing. The man was seen exiting Taman Megah and dangerously using the incoming lane at the slip road in an attempt to join the Mersing-bound traffic. His actions nearly caused a collision with another car entering the same road. Traffic enforcement officers from the Kluang district police headquarters arrested the suspect on Aug 6 after identifying him from the video. Police said the suspect tested negative for drugs following a urine test. The case is being investigated under Section 42(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987, which carries a maximum five-year jail term and a fine of between RM5,000 and RM15,000 upon conviction.
