JAIPUR, India — Punjab Kings failed to clinch a top-two spot in the Indian Premier League after being thrashed by Delhi Capitals by six wickets on Saturday.
Playoffs-bound Punjab made a strong 206-8 but Sameer Rizvi with a blistering unbeaten 58 off 25 balls led Delhi's winning chase of 208-4.
The game was replayed after it was called off in Dharamsala on May 8 when the floodlights went off during air raid alerts in the second innings. The IPL was later suspended due to the military strikes between India and Pakistan.

However, insiders caution that no final decision has been made and the company may ultimately choose to retain the franchise. Ownership and history: RCB was initially purchased by Vijay Mallya in 2008 for ₹476 crore under United Spirits, with branding linked to Mallya's flagship alcohol products like Royal Challenge and Kingfisher. SA duo Hashim Amla and Graeme Smith are among seven cricket legends inducted into the ICC Hall of Fame. Wicket-keeping great Taylor helped England win several global titles, including a 2017 ODI World Cup on home soil, while Mir is the first woman from Pakistan to be included in the Hall of Fame. Off-spinner Mir took 151 ODI wickets and led Pakistan to two Asian Games gold medals, in 2010 and 2014.
