NFL fining more than 100 players for selling Super Bowl tickets above face value, AP source says
The person, speaking to the AP on condition of anonymity because of the ongoing investigation, said the players who resold their tickets will have to pay a fine of 1 1/2 times the face value they paid. They also won't be permitted to buy tickets for the next two Super Bowls unless they are playing in the game.
Club employees who violated the policy will be fined two times face value.
In a memo sent to teams and obtained by the AP, NFL head of compliance Sabrina Perel said the league was still completing its investigation.
'Our initial investigation has determined that a number of NFL players and coaches, employed by several NFL Clubs, sold Super Bowl tickets for more than the ticket's face value in violation of the Policy. This long-standing League Policy, which is specifically incorporated into the Collective Bargaining Agreement, prohibits League or Club employees, including players, from selling NFL game tickets acquired from their employer for more than the ticket's face value or for an amount greater than the employee originally paid for the ticket, whichever is less. We are in the process of completing our investigation into this matter, but the investigation has revealed that club employees and players sold their tickets to a small number of 'bundlers' who were working with a ticket reseller to sell the Super Bowl tickets above face value.'
The 'bundlers' will face increased penalties, per the memo.
According to the CBA, players on all 32 teams can purchase two tickets for the Super Bowl.
'In advance of Super Bowl LX, we will be enhancing the mandatory compliance training regarding the Policy for all League personnel, which will emphasize the specific requirements of the Policy and the broader principle that no one should profit personally from their NFL affiliation at the expense of our fans,' Perel said in the memo. 'We will also increase the penalties for future violations of this Policy. All clubs must ensure their personnel understand and comply with this policy. Additional details regarding the enhanced compliance measures will be provided in early fall.'
The Philadelphia Eagles beat the Kansas City Chiefs on Feb. 9 in a Super Bowl rematch from two years ago.

The report highlighted a trend of Gen Z professionals favoring smaller, affordable cities with strong economic foundations and university presence. 'Ann Arbor takes the top spot with its college-town appeal and competitive job market,' the report noted. 'These metros ranked at the bottom of the list not necessarily because they are lacking opportunities, but because they do not align with the core values of Gen Z, especially regarding livability factors and the industries that drive the job market,' according to Mihaela Buzec, a senior writer and researcher. Lincoln, Nebraska, ranked among the top cities for Gen-Z professionals. Jacob – 'Specifically, we can look at metros such as Bakersfield (#116), Modesto (#115), or Beaumont (#114), where the main hiring industries are agriculture, oil and gas, or logistics and manufacturing, not the typical industries that Gen Zs orient themselves to,' Buzec said. Buzec explained further that Gen Zs prefer communities that 'offer a high quality of life, with frequent cultural events, diverse entertainment options, and walkable areas,' which many of the metros that ranked low lacked. 'For instance, McAllen, TX, and El Paso, TX, had the two lowest scores for the livability composite index in our analysis (#122 and #121). One key demographic metric that also influenced this positioning is the lower percentage of highly educated Gen Zs from the total young adult population, meaning there is no large driving force for change at the moment in these specific metros,' Buzec said.

Joe Milton prefers playing for the Cowboys over the Patriots
After playing sparingly for the Patriots as a rookie last season, quarterback Joe Milton was traded to the Cowboys in April. He thinks he's in a better place now. Milton said at Cowboys training camp that he and his agent orchestrated the trade so he could get a fresh start. "Definitely, I preferred it," Milton said, via the Cowboys' website. "That was something me and my team put together. They were able to get it done, I really didn't have to do much or say much. So just shout out to my agent, that's pretty much it." Milton praised Cowboys starting quarterback Dak Prescott for being a great teammate, and he suggested that wasn't the case in New England. "Dak is a great leader," Milton said. "All respect to him. He literally goes out of his way to help me, no matter if the coach is talking in the meeting, he literally goes out of his way to help. . . . I've been in another building. I know how that goes. It's just very different over here." Milton didn't mention either of the other two quarterbacks in New England last season, Drake Maye or Jacoby Brissett, by name, but he indicated that one of the things he prefers about Dallas is sharing a quarterback room with Prescott.

One NFL analyst says Steelers can win the Super Bowl with Aaron Rodgers
The Pittsburgh Steelers are betting heavily on new starting quarterback Aaron Rodgers. General Manager Omar Khan has already said this team was built to win the Super Bowl this year. Not to just make the playoffs, not just to get a playoff win. This Steelers team will go exactly as far as Rodgers can take them. Rodgers will be the fourth different starting quarterback in the last four seasons for the Steelers to start a year since Ben Roethlisberger retired at the end of the 2021 season. Despite being 41 years old, at least one NFL analyst and former player believes if Rodgers plays well, the Steelers can win the Super Bowl. That would be Mark Sclereth. He talked about the Steelers on the Rick Eisen Show and said the Steelers are one of the 10 or 12 teams that can win the Super Bowl this season but it will depend on Rodgers recapturing his youth and having a big season. Rodgers threw for 229 yards per game last season with the New York Jets. Meanwhile, the Steelers quarterbacks threw for only 192 yards per game in 2024. If the Steelers are going to be a legitimate Super Bowl contender, it's going to take a monumental effort by Rodgers.
