Ed Sheeran Shares Next 5 Album Titles After Completing Math Series and Says Quentin Tarantino Inspired His Vision
In a new interview on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the English singer-songwriter, 34, revealed the titles of his next five albums — and similarly to his series of projects inspired by mathematics, they're all related to one another.
Sheeran announced his next album will be called Play and explained, "When I was like 18, I had an idea for like 10 albums. It's Plus, Multiply, Divide, Subtract, Equals, and then Play, Pause, Fast Forward, Rewind and Stop."

The new slate of projects was inspired by the "Thinking Out Loud" performer's Quentin Tarantino fandom. "I wanted to do 10. I'm kind of a bit obsessed with Tarantino, and I heard he was doing 10 films, and he's got his side projects like Grindhouse and s---," he said.
"So, I wanna do my 10 and then every now and then do a side project," added Sheeran, who's released 2019's No. 6 Collaborations Project and 2023's Autumn Variations in addition to his mathematic series.
The Grammy winner also opened up about the album he's creating to be released posthumously, which he first spoke about with Rolling Stone in 2023.

Sheeran told Fallon, "I kind of want to make an album for the whole of my life where you put different songs on and then it's in your will that it comes out the day you die, and it's called Eject."
"Imagine if when [Paul] McCartney passes away and there's a record that he's made that has a song from he's 16, there's a song from when he's 20, there's a song from when he's 30," detailed the "Shivers" artist. "It'd be fascinating."
He then quipped, "There'll be lots of people who are like, 'Still, from the grave he's f---ing with us.'"
Sheeran has been teasing an upcoming single called "Azizam" from Play. He also spoke to Fallon, 50, about another song titled "Old Phone," inspired by an element of his experience getting sued for alleged copyright infringement over his 2014 single 'Thinking Out Loud.' [He won the lawsuit.]
The "Perfect" musician noted he ditched his phone in 2015 in favor of a tablet just for email, but he was required to open his former device and 'go through all the Voice Notes and the pictures and all that stuff for the lawyers.'
'I switched it on, and it was like going into a time machine. The first text was my friend that had passed away the year before, the second text was an argument with an ex-girlfriend, the third text was a family member I hadn't spoken to in 10 years, the fourth text was another mate that died," said Sheeran. "It really, really spun me out."

Aubrey Plaza Opens Up to Amy Poehler About Grief Following Her Husband's Death: ‘It's a Daily Struggle'
Writer and director Jeff Baena died by suicide at age 47 on Jan. 3 NEED TO KNOW Aubrey Plaza opened up about dealing with grief during an appearance on her friend Amy Poehler's Good Hang podcast Plaza's husband, Jeff Baena, died by suicide in January of this year "Overall, I'm here and I'm functioning. I feel really grateful to be moving through the world. I think I'm okay, but it's like a daily struggle," the actress told Poehler in the episode released Aug. 19 Aubrey Plaza is speaking out about dealing with grief following the death of her late husband, Jeff Baena. During an appearance on the latest episode of her friend Amy Poehler's Good Hang podcast, Plaza, 41, was asked how she's doing after her husband Baena died by suicide at age 47 on Jan. 3 of this year. After Poehler, 53, mentioned that Plaza's dog, Frankie, had been acting as The White Lotus star's "therapy dog," the podcast host continued, "Just to get it out the way, people want to see you and want to see how you are, they love you." "You've had this terrible, terrible, tragic year. You lost your husband, you've been dealing with that and you've been looking for all different ways in which to feel and find support," Poehler, who starred on Parks and Recreation with Plaza between 2009-2015, added. "On behalf of all the people who feel like they know you, and the people who do know you, how are you feeling today?" Poehler asked, to which Plaza responded, "Right in this very, very present moment, I feel happy to be with you." "Overall, I'm here and I'm functioning. I feel really grateful to be moving through the world. I think I'm okay, but it's like a daily struggle, obviously," Plaza continued. The Agatha All Along star went on to compare grief to the 2025 movie, The Gorge, starring actors including Miles Teller and Anya Taylor-Joy. Plaza told Poehler, "This is a really dumb analogy and it was kind of a joke at a certain point, but I actually mean it. Did you see that movie The Gorge?" "It's like [an] alien movie or something with Miles Teller. In the movie, there's like a cliff on one side and there's a cliff on the other side, then there's gorge in between and it's filled with all these like monster people that are trying to get them," she added. Plaza continued, "I swear when I watched it, I was like that feels like what my grief is like … or what grief could be like." "At all times there's like a giant ocean of awfulness, that's like right there and I can see it. Sometimes I just want to dive into it, and just like be in it. Then sometimes I just look at it, and sometimes I try to get away from it. But, it's always there," she explained. The actress started dating Baena, a writer and director, in 2011, before fans learned that the couple had tied the knot in May 2021 when she referred to him as her "darling husband" in an Instagram post. Her rep later confirmed to PEOPLE that the couple had wed. Following Baena's death, Plaza and Baena's family released a statement at the time and called his passing an "unimaginable tragedy." "We are deeply grateful to everyone who has offered support. Please respect our privacy during this time," they said in the statement obtained by PEOPLE. Inside Prince Harry's Secret Tribute for Prince Philip Amid WWII Anniversary
Inside Prince Harry's Secret Tribute for Prince Philip Amid WWII Anniversary originally appeared on Parade. Prince Harry may have distanced himself from the royal family, though he made sure to pay tribute to his late grandfather Prince Philip on the 80th anniversary of V-J Day. The monumental moment marked the end of World War II in 1945. Harry, 40, had a wreath and letter placed at the Burma Star Memorial at the National Memorial Arboretum, in Staffordshire, England, on August 15 to honor Philip and other veterans. The Duke of Sussex reportedly asked a friend to place his tribute after his father, King Charles III, his stepmother, Queen Camilla, and members of the media left the event, according to People. Charles, 76, led a service of remembrance for those who served in the Asia-Pacific region during the war earlier that day. The letter, which was written on Harry's personal letterhead, praised members of the 'Forgotten Army' whose 'courage and endurance in the Far East campaign were anything but forgettable.' He also made sure to include a personal message for Philip, who died at the age of 99 in 2021. 'For me, this anniversary carries an added layer of meaning. My late grandfather, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, served in the Pacific campaign,' Harry wrote. 'He spoke with quiet humility about those years, but I know how deeply he respected all who stood beside him in that theater of war. Today, as I think of him, I think also of each of you, of the shared hardships, the bonds forged and the legacy you leave.' Additionally, he was on board a ship in Tokyo Bay when Japan officially surrendered in September 1945. While Harry clearly has love for Philip and other WWII veterans, he likely didn't appear at the celebration due to his estrangement from his family. After he and his wife, Meghan Markle, stepped down from their royal duties in 2020, the couple continued to keep their distance from his family as they relocated to California. Toby Keith's son welcomes first baby more than a year after singer's death at 62
Toby Keith's family is growing by one more than 18 months after the singer's death. The country music star, best known for songs like 'Red Solo Cup' and 'Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue,' died on Feb. 5, 2024, following a battle with stomach cancer, according to NBC News. He was 62. On Aug. 15, Keith's son, Stelen Keith Covel, took to Instagram to announce the birth of his first baby. 'Millie is here,' Covel's wife, Haley, wrote in the caption of the joint post, which featured a photo of Millie Brooks Covel wrapped in a swaddle next to a piece of fabric with her name and initials on it. 'We love you so much little girl,' Haley added in the caption. Covel is the youngest child and only son of Keith and his wife Tricia Lucus, who were married for nearly 40 years. The couple tied the knot in 1984, at which point Keith adopted Lucus' daughter Shelley Covel Rowland, now 44, according to People. They went on to welcome their first baby together — daughter Krystal Keith, 39 — in 1985 followed by their lone son, Stelen Keith Covel, in 1997. Toby Keith's death was announced Feb. 6, 2024, in a post shared on his website and X account. 'Toby Keith passed peacefully last night on February 5, surrounded by his family,' the statement read. 'He fought his fight with grace and courage. Please respect the privacy of his family at this time.' The 'I Love This Bar' singer announced in 2022 that he was diagnosed with stomach cancer the year prior, according to NPR. With the birth of baby Millie, Toby Keith's kids now each have at least one child of their own. According to People, Keith's adopted daughter Shelley, born in 1980, shares at least one child with her husband. Meanwhile, his biological daughter Krystal — a talented singer herself — shares two daughters, Kirby and Hensley, with her husband, per NBC News. In 2023, Keith took to Instagram to share a photo of his family as they celebrated Thanksgiving together. As for Stelen Keith Covel, he and his wife, Haley, announced their pregnancy on Feb. 13 — one week after the one-year anniversary of his father's death. 'Baby Covel coming this summer,' the couple wrote in an Instagram post. Covel's jacket was unzipped just enough to reveal a picture of his dad on his undershirt.
