Coronation Street lines up dramatic exit for character

Dee-Dee Bailey, the solicitor daughter of Ed and Aggie Bailey, faces turmoil next week as a big decision looms over Weatherfield.
As James packs his bags and prepares to leave for America, will he take baby Laila with him for good this time?
Whilst looking after baby Laila, James is forced to make a huge decision about his future when his phone rings with news about a job back in America.
Confirming that he's still interested in the role, James packs his bags and gets ready to leave.
Friends again 🥺 ❤️ #Corrie pic.twitter.com/t6g3rBWlod
"James' return to Weatherfield hasn't quite been as smooth as he'd hoped," our Corrie insider says.
"With so much drama and bad blood now between him and his sister, and the rest of the Bailey family stuck in the middle, he's eager to get away and back to his life in the States. The question is, will he take baby Laila with him and rip her away from her family and birth mother?"
Leading up to James' decision to leave, there's conflict among the Baileys after Dee-Dee and James meet with a family facilitator.
"After Dee-Dee had Laila christened behind James' back, he's gunning for legal custody," Digital Spy reports.
"At the meeting for the Special Guardianship Order, James is nervous, despite the fact that Dee-Dee has been adamant that she doesn't want to be a mum to Laila.
"It remains to be seen whether James' conflicted sister will actually turn up to their meeting or not – but Ed has to plead with his kids to clear the air at breakfast the following morning."
It's not all doom and gloom for Dee-Dee, though, as later in the week she takes on a new client at work, only to discover that it is in fact, Ollie.

"When Dee-Dee sees Ollie again, she can't help but smile," says our insider.
"There's an undeniable spark between them, and now that they'll be getting closer at Barlow Legal Services, there could be a well-deserved romance on the cards for Dee-Dee with her mysterious new client."
As James says, see you later on the Street once again. Will Dee-Dee's daughter be taken far away from her before she has the chance to fight for her?
Oh we just love the drama!
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.

The campaign is led by the Rhyl Neighbourhood Board, a group of residents, entrepreneurs, councillors, and grassroots leaders. Craig Sparrow, chair of the board, said: "This is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to shape the future of our town and we want everyone to be part of it. "We're calling on residents of all ages, businesses, schools, community groups, and individuals with a love for Rhyl to get involved. "Share your voice, your story, your ideas — no matter how big or small. "Film a short message, post your favourite memory, suggest something bold, or simply tell us what Rhyl means to you." Actor Spencer Wilding urged the board to focus on young people and celebrate the town's strengths. Spencer 'Big Spen' Wilding (Image: Supplied) Mr Wilding said: "I have lived in the area all my life and feel it's important we get behind the regeneration programme, celebrate the best of Rhyl and do it for the next generation – let's shine a light on Rhyl, even stronger than ever." Mr Sparrow said the campaign is about more than infrastructure and investment. He added: "This campaign is about more than buildings and investment, it's about pride, connection, and community. "It's about celebrating our past while building a future we can all be proud of. "Every voice counts. Every message matters. "Together, we can 'Keep it Rhyl' and make sure this £20 million regeneration strategy truly reflects the hopes and dreams of the people who live and work here."
