Littler, 18, lifted the Phil Taylor trophy for the first time as he continued his remarkable rise to the top of darts.
He has benefited from some extra practice sessions from the oche with his impressive form.
The darts star has revealed that Wade told him to "get off his a**e".
He told TungstenTales: "We practised tonight, we've done a lot of 121 to 170 checkouts.
"He literally told me, 'Get up off your a**e and practice with me. 121.' Alright, James."
Littler also revealed what Wade said to him after their final at the World Matchplay.
The pair were pictured chatting on the stage after Littler threw the winning darts.
Littler added: "He said, 'Well played, brilliant tournament and well done to you'.
"He's definitely got a lot better since the UK Open.
"Obviously, I had it my way in Minehead, and he had his in the first five legs, and then I got myself back in it and picked up the trophy."

The triumph in Blackpool was the first time Littler had lifted a trophy since March.
It also saw him pocket a tidy £200,000 in prize money.
The previous success was when he won the season's first European Tour event.
However, he has had fewer chances as he opted out of multiple Players Championship events and some European Tour dates.
Littler had also been competing in Premier League Darts, which ran for 16 weeks.
Wade will be aiming to qualify for the tournament next year, having failed to be selected for it since 2022.
He did break etiquette after the World Matchplay final as he did not receive his runners-up trophy on stage.

Stephen was under pressure to get the name of the event into her interview with Johnson as he ran out winner with a total score of 19-under-par for the weekend. However, the stress of making sure she called it the 'Saudi International' rather than the 'Saudi Invitational,' which she had in her head, led to her fumbling Johnson's name instead. Recalling the incident during a chat with Peter Finch on his Rough Cut Golf Podcast, Stephen said: "I called the world No. 1 Dustin Johnson, Justin Dohnson, live in a winner's interview." When Finch teased if it was a big event, Stephen added: "It was a huge event, yeah. At the time it was one of the first co-sanctioned events in the world. It was when the DP World Tour first co-sanctioned with the PGA Tour, and it was called the Saudi International. "And I had been told I needed to say the name of the tournament, the Saudi International, in the winner's interview; like, 'Congratulations, you've won the Saudi International...' But all I kept wanting to call it was the Saudi Invitational, and I couldn't get this out my head. "So I was going, 'Saudi Invitational, Saudi Invitational, Saudi International, Saudi International, Saudi International...' Then they went, 'Cue Iona live,' and I went, 'Justin Dohnson, congratulations!' "And he looked at me, I looked at him. I wanted the ground to eat me up, it was awful, the whole thing. PTSD from that for many years." Stephen has been a popular member of the Sky Sports Golf team since 2020, having previously played the game to a professional standard. Most recently she was on hand at Royal Portrush for The Open Championship, which was won by none other than Scottie Scheffler. Johnson also featured in the event, finishing T23 on six under-par. He has won 24 events in total with the PGA Tour and another nine on the European Tour before he joined the controversial LIV Golf breakaway league in 2022. As captain of the 4Aces team, Johnson plays alongside team-mates Thomas Pieters, Harold Varner III and Patrick Reed. He has enjoyed plenty of success since making the move across to LIV, winning one event each year. He is also the second-highest earner on the roster at present, with £44,417,051 to his name in winnings, including a £13million payday for being crowned 2022's Individual Champion. The only man to have earned more than Johnson with LIV is Talor Gooch, who has racked up a staggering £49m. However, Johnson isn't the only big name in the golfing world who jumped ship from the PGA Tour to play under the LIV banner after the league's inception of 2021. Luke Littler says he could quit darts before he's 30 as he makes financial admission
New World Matchplay champion Luke Littler says he could play on for another 10-15 years before taking a break from darts, with the teenager having achieved so much already in his short career Luke Littler admits he could QUIT darts and make a comeback before he turns 30. The Nuke, 18, has added another big prize to his burgeoning haul by thrillingly winning the World Matchplay for the first time. He beat James Wade 18-13 in the final to become the youngest player ever to complete darts' Triple Crown, which also includes the World Championship and the Premier League. Littler has also won the Grand Slam of Darts and the UK Open since bursting onto the scene as a 16-year-old at the 2023/24 World Championship. With time very much on his side, there is speculation that he could threaten the records of Phil Taylor, who won 16 world titles and the same number of World Matchplay crowns. Littler would realistically need to play on for at least 20-odd years to get near the Power's milestones. However, the Nuke admits he may be ready for a break from the game in a decade's time. He exclusively told Mirror Sport: 'People are thinking, 'How long am I going to do it for?' But for myself, 10 years' time may come." With the success he's enjoyed over the past 18 months, Littler has already made himself a millionaire, while he has already been tipped to earn in excess of £10m in his career if he keeps his head down. Speaking out on his desire in life, Littler continued: "Hopefully, I've won everything that I've wanted [before I stop] and be financially secure. Littler has teamed up with KP for the 'Nuts for Darts' campaign, which will see one lucky pub win an appearance from the world champion, who will spend an evening at the victorious boozer and throw some arrows with customers. Luke Littler would be forgiven for believing the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency were behind a grand conspiracy to deny him the chance of driving his dream car - after failing his theory test for a fifth time. The newly crowned World Matchplay champion has been open with his followers on social media about his struggles to learn how to drive. On Wednesday, Littler revealed that he had again failed to make the grade on his theory test and as a result, will be forced to make another attempt to get his licence. In posting a score of 41 out of 50 in the multiple choice section of the exam, the Warrington native was two marks shy of the pass mark. While on the hazard perception section, he scored 44 out of 75 - the mark required to pass that section. Littler should take some heart from the fact that he was only two marks away from finally passing the test, even if his multiple choice score worsened by four points from the last time he sat the test. The 18-year-old accompanied an image of his result with the message: '5th time and counting...' The world champion has previously spoken about his love for the Mercedes A-Class Unfortunately for the darts sensation, the sub-par performance means he'll have to wait a little longer to get behind the wheel of his dream car. After becoming the youngest winner of the World Championship in January, Littler opened up on his love for the Mercedes A-Class. 'Last year I was looking at driving and I loved the Ford Focus, but now I've gone up in the world just a little,' he told reporters. 'I've always loved a Mercedes A-Class. Just a small car.' Littler is still basking in the glory of becoming the youngest player ever to complete darts' prestigious Triple Crown, after beating James Wade to clinch the World Matchplay title. The teenager secured £200,000 in prize money and even confirmed his relationship with his fun-loving beautician girlfriend Faith Millar. His haul was just the latest milestone in a year where he bagged £500,000 for the World Championship and earned in excess of £500,000 from Premier League success, propelling his career earnings to over £1.5 million.
