Samsung Galaxy Z Flip FE price leak suggests a hefty discount — what we know
According to a new report from Sisa Journal e, the Z Flip FE will cost around 1 million won. That's around $738 if you directly convert the price, which would be over $250 cheaper than the current Samsung flip phone — the Galaxy Z Flip 6.
However a direct conversion doesn't always work, since regional prices vary. But considering a 256GB Z Flip 6 costs almost 1.5 million won, that is quite an impressive discount. Assuming this report proves accurate.
The Galaxy Z Flip FE is going to need that discount too. With the likes of the Motorola Razr 2025 coming in at $599, and foldable sales reportedly flagging, Samsung needs to finally try going down the low-cost route. Or whatever passes for low-cost when foldable phones are concerned.
The specifics of what the Galaxy Z Flip FE has to offer are still unclear, but one of the more prominent rumors suggests that it'll be powered by an Exynos 2400e chipset — rather than the Qualcomm chips used in the flagship foldables.
While not bad chips by any means, roughly equivalent to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, but Exynos chips generally don't perform as well. This means the Z Flip FE could already be at a disadvantage in the performance and power efficiency departments.
Thankfully renders suggest that the design will still be familiar, with the same 3.4-inch cover display and 6.7-inch folding screen as the Galaxy Z Flip 6. Though it is apparently slightly thicker, with an extra 0.5mm according to that same leak.

Samsung released two new discount codes last week for the Galaxy S25 Ultra that knocked 10% off the phone and boosted trade-in prices. Now, the company is back with a $490 double promotion that gives away a free Galaxy Watch while discounting the phone. The deal knocks £150 off ($200.95) an unlocked Galaxy S25 Ultra, which brings the price down to £1,099 ($1472.31) from £1,249 ($1673.26). If Samsung's valuation for your used phone is decent, it's worth considering locking in that price by using the company's new store credit system via its dedicated trade-in site. These prices change regularly, and Samsung is offering to hold that store credit for five years. Just make sure the trade-in site's price matches the Galaxy S25 purchase page price. The company is also gifting a free Galaxy Watch 7 with all Galaxy S25 Ultra purchases, which is worth £239 ($289.99 in the U.S). This is automatically added to your basket when you buy the Galaxy S25 Ultra and the offer expires on August 12th. Both deals apply to U.K. shoppers. Elsewhere, Samsung is bundling six months of Google AI Pro with Galaxy S25 purchases, which is six months less than Google is giving to Pixel 9 buyers. The device also comes with the standard three months of Samsung Care Plus and 30% off other wearables. Expect More Samsung Deals In The Run Up To Apple's iPhone 17 Launch Samsung won't miss the opportunity to steal some of Apple's iPhone 17 limelight with some aggressive discounts, freebies, or a combination of both. Google's new Pixel 10 ad, that takes an indirect shot at Apple's Siri problems, gives us an insight into how the upcoming smartphone battle will unfold. 'If you buy a phone because of a feature that is coming soon, but it has been coming soon for a full year. You could change your definition of 'soon', or you could just change your phone.' The narrator says over cloaked images of the Pixel 10 while the instrumental to Dr. Dre's The Next Episode plays in the background. The ad is referencing Apple's delayed personalized Siri features that are powered by Apple Intelligence. They were debuted at WWDC 2024 and then used to promote the iPhone 16. But after the phone launched, the company later said that the features would come 'soon,' which sparked a class action lawsuit from iPhone 16 buyers who said they felt misled about the phone's AI abilities. At WWDC this year, Apple said that the promised personalized Siri features will land in 2026, giving Google and Samsung a huge head start with their own mobile AI systems: Gemini and Galaxy AI. I expect both companies will repeatedly point out the iPhone's lack of advanced AI tools and, as a way to entice customers over to the Android side, run more free AI subscription deals. Google is currently bundling one year of AI Pro to all Pixel 9 owners and six months to Galaxy S25 buyers. Samsung also recently gave away a free year's subscription to Perplexity AI Pro, another generative AI chatbot. I wouldn't be surprised if both companies double down on this strategy while Apple scrambles to find its feet in the AI world.

This Pixel 10 leak offers another dose of that stunning Indigo hue
TL;DR New marketing images of the Pixel 10 series have been leaked. The leak mainly focuses on the base model, but also includes images of the Pro and XL. After the color options for the Pixel 10 initially leaked, we threw up a poll asking our readers what their favorite color was. Out of those four options, Indigo emerged as the clear winner. Now everyone's favorite colorway is back in the spotlight in the latest Pixel 10 leak. This leak offers a glimpse at the Pro models as well. We have been treated to another helping of Pixel 10 leaks, this time from tipster Evan Blass. This leak comes in two parts: one focusing squarely on the base model and the other showcasing the whole family. As mentioned earlier, we get a healthy dose of the Pixel 10 in the new Indigo colorway. It has a similar vibe to the 'Really Blue' hue that appeared on the original Pixel phone, arguably one of the best colors Google has used for its devices. In one of the images, we also see the Frost (light blue) and Lemoncello (yellow) color options. From earlier leaks, we know that the vanilla Pixel 10 should have a 6.3-inch FHD+ display that's protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2. Inside, it's expected to have a Tensor G5 chip, a 4,970mAh battery, 29W wired charging, 15W wireless charging, 12GB of RAM, and 128GB or 256GB of storage. As for that new triple camera setup, there should be a 50MP Samsung GN8 primary camera, a 13MP Sony IMX712 ultrawide camera, and an 11MP Samsung 3J1 telephoto camera. The next part of the leak features the Pro models, including the Fold. These marketing images come only days after we saw the Pixel 10 Pro from every angle. And only a day after Google's largest Pixel 10 model also leaked. Here, we see the entire series, except for the base model, in the new Moonstone colorway. We won't have to wait too much longer for the Pixel 10 series unveiling, as it's slightly less than two weeks away at this point. Samsung Will Reportedly Make iPhone Image Sensors at Texas Facility
Samsung will reportedly begin producing a three-layer stacked image sensor for Apple's iPhone 18 in Texas. The deal with Apple will help the South Korean company avoid President Trump's strict tariffs policy and cut out Sony as the sole image sensor maker for iPhones, according to Financial Times, The three-layer stacked image sensors enable fast shooting speeds and high-frame-rate 8K video in smartphones. On Wednesday, Apple said it was "working with Samsung at its fab [semiconductor fabrication facility] in Austin, Texas, to launch an innovative new technology for making chips, which has never been used before anywhere in the world." The statement was part of Apple's overall announcement that it was launching the American Manufacturing Program, part of a $600 billion investment to increase its supply chain and manufacturing in the US. Thursday's report by Financial Times adds more clarity to what Apple's "innovative new technology" will mean for the iPhone 18. The move by Apple will allow it to avoid penalties by President Trump, who on Wednesday announced 100% percent tariffs on computer chips but added, "if you're building in the United States of America, there's no charge." Samsung is investing billions to increase manufacturing in the US, while Sony is producing iPhone image sensors in Kumamoto, Japan under a contract with Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC). Last month, CNET reported that Samsung Display Company -- a separate entity from Samsung -- would be producing the screens for the first iPhone foldable, reportedly to be launched next summer.
