HGTV Is Going to Renovate the ‘Bachelor' Mansion
HGTV's latest renovation of a memorable pop-culture location will come with a bunch of roses.
The cable network has announced a series with the working title Renovating the Bachelor Mansion, with the goal of, uh, renovating the Bachelor mansion. Channing Dungey, chairman and CEO of the Warner Bros. Television Group and U.S. Networks, announced the series, along with host of other shows, at Warner Bros. Discovery's upfront presentation on Wednesday.

Renovating the Bachelor Mansion will feature former Bachelor and Bachelorette contestants 'who possess expert reno skills' will compete in a series of design challenges at the Augora Hills, California, house that's the home base for the franchise. The winner gets a cash prize.
Among the other shows Dungey announced Wednesday are:
Guy's Flavortown Games: Food Network host Guy Fieri will build an actual Flavortown in which chefs will compete in a set of challenges in different culinary environments, from a food truck to a fine-dining restaurant.
Family Recipe Showdown: Octavia Spencer hosts and executive produces a Food Network show where families compete against one another using recipes passed down through the generations. It's set to premiere later this year.
Dancing With Sharks: As part of Discovery's Shark Week, the special will feature Dancing With the Stars host Tom Bergeron. Best just to quote the show's description here: 'Dancing With Sharks is a new Shark Week 2025 special that features an unprecedented underwater dance competition between expert divers and their shark partners. Blending skill, grace and the daring pursuit of the ultimate underwater thrill, five divers—all trained by a world-class underwater choreographer—will compete to show off their skills during epic underwater dances. Each diver will attempt to outperform their competitors, with moves including the Hammerhead Hoedown and Tiger Trot, and redefine dancing with danger.'
High Value Target: TNT dips back into scripted programming with a limited series starring Joel Kinnaman as CIA analyst John Nixon, who was the first American to interrogate Saddam Hussein after he was captured in the 2003 Iraq war. It's based on Nixon's book Debriefing the President.
Dick Wolf/Vanity Fair series: ID is teaming with Law & Order creator Wolf and the magazine for a true-crime series with episodes helmed by 'best-in-class documentary filmmakers.'

Russell Simmons Sues HBO For $20M Over ‘On The Record' Doc
Russell Simmons has launched a lawsuit against HBO for $20 million over the release of the 2020 documentary, On The Record , which detailed a number of he mogul's sexual assault allegations. Simmons also named the filmmakers behind the production of the documentary. Russell Simmons, 67, filed the lawsuit in a Manhattan court on Tuesday (June 3), naming HBO and On The Record direcctors, Amy Ziering and Kirby Dick as reported by Deadline . In the summons that was filed in court, Simmons' lawyer Imran Ansari laid out their offensive move. 'Despite voluminous support for Mr Simmons in the form of credible information, persuasive evidence, witness statements, and calls for further investigation by notable members of the media, politics, and the civil rights movement, the defendants simply disregarded it, and released, and continue to re-release globally, a film that tremendously disparaged and damaged Mr Simmons with salacious and defamatory accusations that he vehemently denies,' Ansari and co-counsel Carla DiMare shared in a statement. Although the statute of limitations for defamation has long since expired, Simmons and his team are hoping to move things in their favor because the documentary was shown in the global market, thus resetting the timeline. HBO sidestepped the lawsuit, calling it unfounded according to Deadline 's report. 'We dispute Mr. Simmons' allegations, stand by the filmmakers and their process, and will vigorously defend ourselves against these unfounded allegations,' a spokesperson for Warner Bros. Discovery shared with the outlet. Sarah Michelle Gellar Says Children of Original ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer' Actors Auditioned for Reboot
Sarah Michelle Gellar revealed that she saw some familiar names on the audition roster for the Buffy the Vampire Slayer reboot. The actress who played Buffy Summers in the original series, which ran for seven seasons from 1997 to 2003, recently chatted with Us Weekly with her former Buffy co-star Alyson Hannigan, who portrayed Willow Rosenberg. During the interview, Hannigan confessed, 'I know somebody who auditioned for something on the show.' ‘Ready or Not: Here I Come Sequel' Lands April 2026 Release Date in Theaters
Searchlight Pictures' sequel to its 2019 horror comedy pic Ready or Not will hit theaters April 10, 2026, the studio said Thursday. Ready or Not: Here I Come sees Sarah Michelle Gellar and Elijah Wood join series star Samara Weaving.
