Ajay Devgn reveals Son of Sardaar 2 co-star Ravi Kishan changed after Lapataa Ladies: ‘He was doing comedy also very seriously'
As Ravi spoke about Lapataa Ladies being India's entry for the Best International Feature Film category at the 97th Academy Awards, he said his hard work had finally paid off. Adding to that, Ajay said, 'Ravi got so engrossed in his Laptaa Ladies character. After Son Of Sardaar 2, we are also doing Dhamaal 4, and both are comedy films. Lapataa Ladies is a serious film. So when he came on the sets of Son of Sardaar 2, he was doing comedy also very seriously, then I asked him to open up a little. It took him half a day to open up. Then he said, 'After Lapataa Ladies, I have started taking myself very seriously.''
Ravi Kishan lauded Ajay Devgn for his generosity as an actor, sharing that during the climax of Son of Sardaar 2, Ajay ensured the spotlight was on him. He said, 'This has never happened to me in these 34 years. One day he (Ajay Devgn) called me and said that Sanjay Dutt was supposed to come for Son Of Sardaar 2, but due to some reason his visa got rejected. He asked me if I would do the film, and I was so happy because Sanjay Dutt is a cult, but there was also pressure to replace him. It was unbelievable that he offered me such a big role.'

While Navoj Singh Sidhu lauded Ajay Devgn for being so secure in his position, Ajay said, 'People often forget that you are not important, the film is; if the film works, everyone will benefit. So do it for the film.'

Archana Puran Singh comes out in support of nepotism: 'Bollywood people prefer to work with actors from film families'
Archana Puran Singh recently weighed in on the ongoing nepotism debate, sharing her perspective from personal experience. In a candid conversation with Ajay Devgn on her YouTube channel, she reflected on why filmmakers often place such high value on stardom when casting star kids. Professional habits often begin at home According to her, individuals who grow up in film families typically absorb a sense of discipline and professionalism from an early age. She suggested that this early exposure is valuable for their understanding of the expectations of this industry-whether it is punctuality, behavior on set, or, more importantly, understanding the hierarchy of a film crew. Ajay seemed to agree but added that children from the film industry often learn to keep a stronger line of delineation between acting as a craft and being a star. He meant to say that outsiders sometimes confuse talent with fame without understanding the journey required to hone one's skill. 2025: A year filled with debutante buzz The conversation coincided with a spate of star kid launches in 2025. Junaid Khan, Khushi Kapoor, Ibrahim Ali Khan, and Ahaan Panday all announced their arrival in the sparkling limelight. Ahaan was especially mentioned in the audience while saying 'Saiyaara', his film, which was a sleeper hit, had won much praise for emotional depth and presence. While the new entrants get mixed reaction online, the whole ruckus has completely blurred the fact that the public is always curious about industry legacies.
