Seven biggest employers for jobs without a degree and you could get paid up to £46k

LANDING a job with one of these employers could see you eventually earn nearly £10,000 more than the UK's average salary, and you don't even need a degree.
Many job hunters are curious to know what their starting salary could be if they do not hold any qualifications.

A growing number of firms offer apprenticeships, to help young people to earn a wage while they work.
But how much can you earn if you choose not to go down the University route?
Research by hiring firm Adzuna, shared with The Sun, found Busy Bee Childcare pays its level three apprentices £262 a week.
This works out at around £13,649.48 per year.
The firm was named as one of the top 10 places to earn an apprenticeship, following research by the Department for Education and RateMyApprenticeship.
Meanwhile, if you choose not to go down the apprenticeship route, entry level employees could also secure a role at the firm for £25,083.
This includes jobs as a nursery practitioner and an integrations support coordinator, according to the research.
And if you choose to progress your career at the childcare group, you could earn nearly £5,000 more than the average UK employee.
Figures show a nursery manager at Busy Bee earns a yearly salary of £42,500.
This is higher than the £37,430 the average UK employee is said to earn each year.
Why are pubs closing?
But it is unclear how long staff need to work at the firm before they can progress into a senior role.
Meanwhile, Premier Inn owner Whitbread gives those looking for an entry-level job without a degree a chance to earn £11.79 an hour as a kitchen assistant.
Grill chefs also have a chance to earn £12.74 per hour.
That works out as an annual salary of £24,523 and £26,499 per year, respectively.
But if you stay in the firm and work your way up the ladder you could earn up to £46,250 per year as a general manager.
The chain was also rated as one of the top places to earn an apprenticeship in the UK, and offers schemes at its support centre and in hospitality.
John Lewis, which was also named as a popular place to secure an apprenticeship, also has a range of schemes on offer.
That includes a level three apprenticeship as a Vehicle Paint Technician.
Staff are paid £12.45 per hour which would work out at £25,896 per year.
That is around £2,000 more than what the average minimum wage worker earns a year.
John Lewis is currently recruiting for candidates to start this August, so there is still a chance to apply if you or someone you know is interested.
WHAT DO OTHER FIRMS OFFER?

Mitchells & Butlers runs a chef apprenticeship scheme which can help you earn up between £300 and £366 a week.
You can also join with no qualification as a bar staff and earn £11.44 per hour, which works out as £23,000 per year.
Logistics provider GXO lets apprentices earn £19,500 per year through its scheme.
Meanwhile McDonald's pays its school leaver apprentices between £9.52 and £12.26 per hour through its crew member and manager apprenticeship schemes.
Through this scheme, workers receive day-to-day training in a McDonald's restaurant.
The above firms were also recognised as great places to secure an apprenticeship following research by the Department for Education.

In addition, Forest Holidays wants to create a new reception and cafe building. Currently, the site has 25 touring caravan pitches and 85 camping pitches. The proposals are part of a wider plan in collaboration with the Roberts Group - the owners of Cae Du and Cae Canol campsite, also in Beddgelert. Under a separate application, there will be more touring and camping pitches at Cae Du and Cae Canol so the village doesn't lose capacity. Public toilets and better path access for guests are also part of the plans. Back in 2017, the site gained planning consent for 16 cabins and up to 85 touring caravan pitches and camping pitches. Forest Holidays has 13 sites across the UK in woodlands owned by Forestry England, Forestry and Land Scotland, and Natural Resources Wales. The Beddgelert site is the smallest of the Forest Holidays locations and is set in a riverside wooded area. Each cabin currently has a hot tub and guests can enjoy access to the new Elvis Owl Nature Trail - which is ideal for kids as it includes activities to immerse them in nature. This holiday park has Maldives-like overwater bungalows Families can also hire bikes from the site, to explore the local area on wheels. Alternatively, guests can get some R&R with a spa treatment. Prices to stay at the holiday park vary, but can be found from £895 for a week, for a family of four. Beddgelert itself is a picturesque stone-built village, which is the ideal base for exploring Snowdonia National Park. From the village, travellers can head onto the Lôn Gwyrfai path which can be used by walkers, cyclists and horse riders. The route stretches over four miles to the village of Rhyd Ddu - which is then a good starting point to hike to the summit of Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon). According to Forest Holidays, since opening in 2018 demand for the 16 cabins at Beddgelert has been high throughout the year. The site also expects annual occupancy levels of the cabins to be 96 per cent, with guests expected to spend £650,000 per annum in the local area as well. Forest Holidays, which submitted the plans for the project, hopes to build 75 timber holiday cabins on 140 acres in a Derbyshire woodland at Farley Moor. If approved, the holiday park would feature a shop, cafe, outdoor play area and 249 parking spaces. The whopping £23million project will be able to host 185 people with cabin sizes varying from one to five beds along with treehouse rooms. Forest Holidays plans to suspend all cabins above the ground on steel pillars to protect the forest floor. The cabins would be a flat-pack design reducing the need for heavy construction equipment. Center Parcs' boss also recently revealed what to expect from its brand new holiday park in the UK. Jobs still at risk after John Lewis depot in Theale closes
Several John Lewis workers at a delivery site are still facing uncertainty after it closed last company confirmed in March the hub in Theale, Berkshire, would shut.A spokesperson said more than half of the site's 75 workers - who are employed through a trust and known as partners - had found new roles or chosen to retire, but the others were "still going through internal interview processes"."Regardless of their next steps, all partners have been given our full support throughout," the spokesperson said. They said the Theale site had closed because it no longer met the company's needs."This wasn't a decision we took lightly, and we've since worked hard to find new roles for those impacted," they repeated requests from the BBC, John Lewis would not confirm how many people were being made redundant as a result of the company said there would be no noticeable impact for the start of 2024, John Lewis said it was planning workforce cuts over the next five years to save money. Located in the basement of a former pub at the Gracechurch Centre, the popular establishment first opened in May, 2024. It quickly proved a hit with locals, serving up a selection of burgers, fried chicken, and loaded skin-on chips to 75 diners at a time. Popular location The brand was founded in 2018 by Pete Hargreaves and Allan Blewitt, with the vision of serving up smash burgers alongside music and retro games. The pair began selling burgers from a catering van in a lay-by before attending local food festivals and street food events. In 2022, they opened their debut restaurant in Lichfield, which still operates. However, the lease on the Sutton Coldfield locations has now run out, spurring the entrepreneurs to hit the road and focus on pop-ups. "Our lease at the old Molloy's property has come to an end, we would like to thank the owners of the Gracechurch Centre for their support and work on promoting small local businesses into their retail spaces," the Patty Freaks said on their Facebook page. "It was a privilege to be able to take on such a historic site and attempt to fill the boots of some of the huge brands that have come before us. Popular Tex Mex chain confirms it will close down all locations after 36 years in another restaurant slaughter "We're moving back to drive more on the pop-up side of the business and going back to the street-food roots." The Patty Freaks team went on to thank their many patrons over the year of operation. "We would sincerely like to thank our customer base for supporting us on this journey it's been a fantastic year and we've absolutely loved this challenge," they said. "We're working with the team to be able to redeploy the staff, who wish to move our Lichfield restaurant, or work on the Street-food. "Hopefully this is not the end for The Patty Freaks in Sutton Coldfield but for the time being we have to bid farewell." Sorely missed Fans of the restaurant shared their sadness at news of the shocking closure. "It was always a joy putting on events in the Sutton Coldfield site," wrote on Facebook user. "All the best with everything, couldn't find a nicer bunch to work with." "You'll be a sad loss to the high street, we really enjoyed our visit last month and our takeaways over the last 12 months, good luck in your new venture," said another customer. "What a monumental shame, the only place other than Leviathan Brewing that served up decent beer in Sutton, with great food, a pool table, and arcade machines to boot," commented a third person.
