LIVE world boxing: Tim Tszyu takes on Sebastian Fundora in world title rematch in Las Vegas
Pinned post from 10.04am
Howdy fight fans!
It's a huge day of boxing as Australian Tim Tszyu attempts to become a two-time world champion in his rematch against Sebastian Fundora in Las Vegas.
Tszyu is looking for redemption after a sickening head cut cruelled his chances in their first clash in March of last year. The 'Soul Taker' took their first fight on just 11 days' notice, but this time has had plenty of time to prepare for the awkward challenge that is the 197-centimetre Fundora.
If that's not enough to sate the blood lust, the main event features all-time great Manny Pacquiao making his comeback in a world title fight against WBC welterweight champion Mario Barrios.
So whether you're too stingy to outlay the $70 to watch it or just want to tune into my hot takes, this is the place to catch all the action.

This is Tszyu's time to shine
Tim Tszyu's loss to Fundora could have been the start of a slide into obscurity.
The Australian fought for a world title in his next fight, a devastating loss to Russian Bakhram Murtazaliev. It was the sort of beat-down that some boxers never recover from.
Yet here is Tszyu, after a win against American Joey Spencer, again fighting for a world title. It's a massive opportunity, one that may not come again.
'You dream of these moments as a young kid and to finally be here for this moment is a pleasure of mine,' Tszyu said.
'We're gonna put on one hell of a show. He shoulda killed me the first time, because this time it's gonna be a whole different story.
'With a proper preparation to see what works and doesn't work, it'll play a big part in what happens in the ring. I'm going to have a better and more intelligent performance.
'With adversity, my desire to win only grows. The past has made me who I am today and that's a dangerous fighter willing to take it all. This is a new phase I'm in. I'm smarter, hungrier and more confident.'

Usyk retains heavyweight world titles
Not content with covering Paul Gallen's win against Sonny Bill Williams, or the Tszyu-Fundora fight, I got up early this morning to witness the heavyweight showdown between Oleksandr Usyk and Daniel Dubois.
Usyk didn't disappoint, knocking out the Englishman in the fifth round. What a clinic.

Battered Wallabies rocked by another injury setback
Another key injury has left the Wallabies in disarray as Joe Schmidt's physically battered and psychologically bruised outfit stare down the barrel of a dubious place in Australian sports history. From outside the squad, Brandon Paenga-Amosa has answered an SOS call from Schmidt to jump on the bench for Australia's third and final Test against the British and Irish Lions in Sydney. Billy Pollard has been promoted to the starting side after first-choice hooker David Porecki was ruled out on Friday with a leg injury, with Paenga-Amosa rushing in to camp to join the squad. The late reshuffle comes after superstar forwards Allan Alaalatoa and Rob Valetini were already ruled out of one of the Wallabies' most significant Tests ever. A loss at Accor Stadium would consign the Wallabies to the first 3-0 series whitewash at the hands of the Lions on home soil since 1904. Compounding their troubles, Queensland Reds rake Matt Faessler - initially selected ahead of Pollard as the reserve hooker - was also ruled out after tweaking his calf during the week.

Sulking Swans? No way says 100 gamer Gulden
If Sydney superstar Errol Gulden is honest, knowing a finals berth is impossible has slightly tainted his 100th AFL milestone. But Gulden and his Swans teammates won't sit around and sulk, viewing Saturday's clash against Essendon at the SCG as a launch pad to get back to the top eight next season. Sydney's bid to gatecrash September ended when coach Dean Cox's side suffered a 44-point loss to cross-city rivals GWS. The Swans sit 10th (9-10) with four matches remaining, paying the price for a slow start to the season. Drafted with pick No.32 in 2020, Gulden reaches the 100-game milestone after overcoming a fractured ankle. The 23-year-old has played six games so far this season, making his return in round 15 against Port Adelaide with immediate impact. Since debuting, he has played in two grand finals and claimed two All-Australian blazers, a club best-and-fairest and three Brett Kirk Medals. With disappointment lingering from the season and last week's result, Gulden said his milestone game was "slightly tainted". "But still, I think it's a massive achievement, one I'm extremely proud of," he said. "It probably hit me a little bit then, when you look back at all the footage and me talking from after my first game - I had my Invisalign in my teeth. "I've changed a little bit. I have to shave my face more than once a month now." Gulden expects their home run to be full of experiments as Cox looks to steer the Swans back to the top of the league next year. "We can either sit around and sulk or we can use this four-week block as an opportunity to launch pad into our off-season, into our pre-season, and ultimately to get back to where we want to be next year," he said. "It's just flipping the script a little bit." Injuries to key players have forced Essendon coach Brad Scott to unveil a record 14th debutant of the season, calling up Category B rookie Jayden Nguyen. Sydney will also boast a debutant in forward Jesse Dattoli. Selected with pick No.22 in last year's draft, the 18-year-old will make his debut after overcoming a stress fracture in his back suffered in pre-season. "I've got (a goal celebration) planned with Jesse Dattoli that he came to me in pre-season before he even played a game," Gulden said. "He certainly doesn't lack confidence. On one of his first training sessions, we were doing a little skill drill and he was spraying me for not giving it to him. "I was like, 'Oh, that's a little bit different', but, you know, I kind of respected it. He'll bring flair." Aussie Kasatkina loses three-set thriller in Montreal
Australia's Daria Kasatkina has been bundled out of the Canadian Open, going down in three sets to Marta Kostyuk of Ukraine. The 15th seed started well taking the opening set before Kostyuk fought back to prevail 3-6, 6-3, 7-6 clinching the tie-break 7-4. Her win sets up a round of 16 clash with American McCartney Kessler who upset fourth-seeded Mirra Andreeva of Russia. Meanwhile, top seed Coco Gauff survived another three-set thriller beat Russian Veronika Kudermetova of 4-6, 7-5, 6-2 in Montreal. Two days after posting 23 double-faults and scraping through against fellow American Danielle Collins, Gauff rallied from a set and break down against Kudermetova to reach the round of 16. "It was a tough match," Gauff said. "I thought I did well mentally, especially on the return. I was playing an opponent that served really well. Obviously, I would like to serve better on my end, but overall, just happy to get through." Gauff, No. 2 in the world behind Aryna Sabalenka, entered the week having lost two straight matches since winning the French Open, falling in her opening matches in Berlin and Wimbledon. "It does give positives that I am winning these matches having literally one part of my game on a crutch," she said. "If I can stand on both feet, then I can only imagine that it will be a lot more straight-forward and a lot easier for me." Gauff's win sets up a match with 18-year-old Canadian Victoria Mboko, a 1-6, 6-3, 6-0 winner over Marie Bouzkova of Czechia. In other matches, Dayana Yastremska of the Ukraine knocked off eighth-seeded Emma Navarro 7-5, 6-4, and 10th seeded Elina Svitolina beat Kamilla Rakhimova of Russia 7-5, 6-2.
