Notably, the new orange lock in glitter is not the album artwork, and her site mentions that the product artwork will be announced at a later date.
Ahead of the album's announcement, social media was buzzing with excitement, with many fans speculating that Sabrina Carpenter, who's been making a name for herself with hits like Espresso, could be collaborating with Swift on the new album. This all began because Carpenter's website also mentioned August 12.
Apart from that, several notable entities joined in the Swiftie-mania, including Netflix, Walmart, and the Empire State Building's X account. The common consensus is that everyone is ready for a 'new era', or are excited to see what Taylor has in store for fans next.
With the album announcement generating a lot of excitement, Swift is heading to a podcast episode hosted by her partner, NFL star, Travis Kelce. Swift's new album is more than likely to come up during the conversation. Episodes of the podcast are out on Wednesdays at 7 pm ET.

Actor complains about redevelopment project fraud, CM intervenes
Mumbai: Marathi actor and poet Kishore Kadam alias Saumitra – known for roles in films like Special 26, Jogwa and Fandry – has alleged that a builder was trying to pass off the building in Andheri where he resides as a slum to get more floor space index (FSI) while redeveloping the property. The move could rob residents of the building of their rightful homes, Kadam said in a post on Monday on social media platform Facebook. Chief Minister Devendara Fadnavis (HT Photo) On Tuesday, chief minister Devendra Fadnavis took note of Kadam's post and directed the Slum Rehabilitation Authority (SRA) and the co-operation department to probe the allegations. Kadam resides with his family in Hawa Mahal co-operative society at Chakala in Andheri East. The society, spread over 925 square metres, has only one building which is more than 30 years old and accommodates 24 flats, including one- and two-bedroom units. It has been in talks with a builder for more than a year to redevelop the property. On Monday, the actor put up a post on Facebook, saying the builder and the project management consultant were misleading housing society members by pitting a 'majority of fools' among them against those who were raising logical questions about the redevelopment process. He said that Pradeep Kadam, the society's legal consultant, had alerted society members that as per the draft development agreement, the builder could invoke sections 33 (11) and 33 (12B) of the Development Control and Promotion Regulations (DCPR), which pertain to slum rehabilitation projects and projects for those affected by infrastructure projects undertaken by the civic body. The advocate had warned society members that the provisions were not meant for redevelopment of cooperative societies and their use could create problems in the future, Kadam mentioned on Facebook, requesting chief minister Devendra Fadnavis, deputy chief ministers Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar and co-operation minister Babasaheb Patil to take the serious note of the matter. Speaking to Hindustan Times, the actor said he and his family had been sidelined in the society for raising valid questions and even excluded from a new WhatsApp group formed by society members. 'Even though the legal expert has warned about possible threats, the majority of fools in the society are ignoring the facts as they want redevelopment at any cost,' he said. 'It's kind of an urban atrocity.' On Tuesday, chief minister Fadnavis responded to his Facebook post, saying, 'I have discussed your complaint with co-operation department secretary Pravin Darade and SRA CEO (chief executive officer) Mahendra Kalyankar and directed them to look into the matter. They will be in touch with you.' Following the chief minister's post, several government officials including from the SRA contacted Kadam and sought details about the case, the actor noted. He also thanked Fadnavis for directing officials to look into the matter and hoped that it would protect the interests of the housing society.

This Kapoor family's superstar became the internet's GOAT at 70, revolutionising India's digital space 32 years ago, his name was...
If someone told you that one of India's earliest internet pioneers came from the heart of Bollywood, you might raise an eyebrow. But the truth is stranger — and far cooler — than fiction. The year was 1994. While the country was still figuring out computers, a 70-year-old superstar from the Kapoor clan was already surfing the web and introducing India to the digital age. That man was none other than Shammi Kapoor, the original 'junglee' who wasn't just a heartthrob on-screen, but a visionary off-screen. In a time when most people didn't even own personal computers, Shammi Kapoor decided to take the leap. He bought an Apple Macintosh desktop and applied for an international dial-up line — the only way to get online back then. This wasn't just curiosity; it was a calculated step towards embracing a technology that, in his own words, would 'change life forever.' Founding the Internet Users Community of India Shammi wasn't content with just browsing. He founded the Internet Users Community of India and served as its chairman, connecting the handful of internet users across the country. This was the early '90s — a time when the sound of a dial-up modem was as rare as spotting a comet. Shammi turned this niche circle into a movement. The family website was ahead of its time Long before Instagram family albums and Wikipedia bios, Shammi Kapoor built a website dedicated to the entire Kapoor family. It featured profiles, photographs, and personal interests of each family member. And here's the kicker — the site still exists today, a living relic of one man's foresight. The Ethical Hackers Association of India Shammi's passion for tech didn't stop there. He also co-founded the Ethical Hackers Association of India, recognising the need for digital security even in those early days. His goal was simple — prepare India for a future where the internet would touch every part of daily life. At 70, when most people slow down, Shammi Kapoor was accelerating into the unknown, embracing a technology most of his generation couldn't even name. He didn't just predict the internet's rise — he actively built spaces for it to grow in India. That's why, even today, tech circles remember him as India's Internet Guru.
