KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 20 (Bernama) -- Generator rental services provider Express Powerr Solutions (M) Bhd which is en route to be listed on the ACE Market of Bursa Malaysia on Sept 24, 2025, is expected to raise RM36.0 million through its upcoming initial public offering (IPO).
The IPO price is fixed at 20 sen per share, giving the company a market capitalisation of RM186.9 million upon listing, based on an enlarged issued share capital of 934.4 million shares.
Managing director Lim Cheng Ten said the proceeds would enable the company to expand its fleet by at least 36 units and acquire medium- and high-voltage equipment to support this expansion over the next three years.

Lim said Tenaga Nasional Bhd is expected to remain Express Powerr's largest revenue contributor, although its reliance has dropped to 60 per cent in 2024 from 95 per cent previously.
'Looking ahead, we see opportunities in the oil and gas (O&G) sector, where reliable, high-capacity power is critical, especially offshore and in remote environments. We plan to explore this further in the fourth quarter of the year,' he said.
He noted that with 27 O&G projects worth RM4.46 billion approved in the first nine months of 2024, demand for generator sets (gensets) in exploration and drilling is set to rise.
To reward shareholders, Lim said the company has adopted a dividend policy of 30-50 per cent of net profit.
On diversification, he said the group's solar business remains in its infancy and would not be a near-term focus.
Instead, Express Powerr aims to expand its presence within Malaysia, adding Penang and Kelantan to its current coverage of Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Negeri Sembilan, Johor, Pahang and Sabah.

Dialog Group Net Profit For FY2025 Slips To RM303.83 Mln

BUSINESS KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 20 (Bernama) -- Dialog Group Bhd's net profit for the financial year ended June 30, 2025 (FY2025) slid to RM303.83 million compared to RM575.03 million recorded in FY2024. Revenue fell to RM2.5 billion from RM3.15 billion previously, the group said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia today. It said the weaker full year performance was primarily impacted by the loss after tax reported in the second quarter, largely due to the one-off impairments in petrochemical and renewable projects, and engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC) projects cost overruns. For the fourth quarter ended June 30, 2025 (4Q 2025), the group registered a higher net profit of RM147.38 million from RM138.42 million registered in 4Q 2024, while revenue fell to RM608.34 million from RM810.07 million previously. The higher profit was driven by contributions from both Malaysia and International operations, as well as share of profits from the group's joint ventures and associates, it said. On its outlook, it said the group will continue to grow its presence through the development and rejuvenation of oil and gas fields for upstream business. For its downstream business, the group will continue to leverage its strengths and established track record in integrated technical services comprising EPCC, plant maintenance and catalyst handling services, and specialist products and services. 'The group will take a cautious and selective approach to bidding for EPCC contracts, prioritising in-house projects,' it said. -- BERNAMA

80 Hectares Of Silicon Island Reclaimed So Far -PIC

GEORGE TOWN, Aug 20 (Bernama) -- Reclamation works for Silicon Island have passed the 80-hectare mark, marking steady progress for the largest land reclamation project in Penang to date. The project, which covers a total area of 930.78 hectares, is being developed in two phases, namely 510 hectares under Phase 1 and the remaining 420.9 hectares under Phase 2, with reclamation starting in September 2023. Penang Infrastructure Corporation Sdn Bhd (PIC) chief executive officer Datuk Seri Farizan Darus said the 80-hectare milestone was a positive sign that the project was progressing according to plan, and it was not just about physical progress. 'This project is designed to be a driver of Penang's long-term growth by combining world-class infrastructure, sustainable development practices and community-oriented facilities. 'It will also open up new opportunities for investment, innovation and employment, while ensuring that the local community benefits from better facilities,' he said in a statement today. On the development of the Social Impact Management Plan (SIMP), Farizan said a total of RM11.7 million in ex-gratia payments had been channelled to 791 eligible fishermen, thus strengthening the state government's commitment to the welfare of fishermen. Apart from cash assistance, he said the government had also implemented a boat and engine assistance scheme as part of its ongoing efforts to provide financial guarantees and modern equipment to local fishermen to ensure they can continue their livelihoods more effectively. 'To date, 118 out of 295 active fishermen who own boats have received new boats and engines, with a total expenditure of almost RM10 million,' he said. Earlier, the Yang Dipertua Negeri Tun Ramli Ngah Talib and his wife Toh Puan Raja Noor Ashikin Raja Abdullah visited the project site to witness the achievements and crossed to the island using a 378m temporary iron bridge built at Permatang Damar Laut.
