The body was found after the blaze was extinguished and an investigation was launched, with cops appealing for information.
Police had originally said they were treating the incident as arson, but in an update today they said the death is not believed to be suspicious.
The PSNI said in a statement: 'The person who died following a vehicle fire outside Omagh on Saturday afternoon, 2nd August, has been confirmed as a female in her 30s.
'A post-mortem has concluded and family has been informed. At this stage, her death is not believed to be suspicious."
SDLP West Tyrone MLA Daniel McCrossan expressed his deep shock and sympathy following the tragic death.
He added: 'This is a deeply disturbing incident that has shocked the local community.
"My thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of the person who has so tragically lost their life.
'It is heartbreaking that someone has died in such harrowing circumstances.
"People in the area are understandably anxious and looking for answers.
'It is critical that anyone with information – no matter how small – reports it to the PSNI.
"The victim's family deserves truth and justice.
"I will be following developments closely and supporting efforts to ensure a full investigation.'
Mr McCrossan also commended the swift response of emergency services and reiterated the need for calm and cooperation as the investigation continues.
TRIBUTES AFTER ARMAGH TRAGEDY
It comes after a man died from his injuries in hospital after falling from a moving car in Co Armagh last month.
Aaron Samuel Moffett passed away on Friday, just a month after the tragic accident in the Markethill area.
Aaron's heartbroken family confirmed the 38-year-old "went to sleep one last time surrounded by his loving family" on Friday.
They added: "Our hero, too kind for this world."
He is survived by his wife Lindsey, parents John and Florence, sister Hannah, parents-in-law Philip and Jennifer, siblings-in-law Ashley, Chris and Vicky and nephews Bodhi, Sonny, Carson and Arthur.
They stated that the house is strictly private and the funeral service will commence on Wednesday at 2pm in Knocknamuckley Parish Church, followed by a private committal.
The family appealed that mourners make donations for the benefit of REVIVE and Northern Ireland Air Ambulance.
