Directed by Susan Lacy and Jessica Levin, Billy Joel: And So It Goes, which premiered at the Tribeca Festival in New York City, showcases the music icon's journey, never-before-seen archival footage, and candid interviews, as reported by People. Although he was not present at the Beacon Theatre, stars like Whoopi Goldberg, Tom Hanks, Robert De Niro, Mariska Hargitay and her husband, actor Peter Hermann, attended it. Last month, Joel announced the cancellation of all of his upcoming concerts following a recent diagnosis of normal pressure hydrocephalus (NPH), a condition where excess cerebrospinal fluid builds up in the brain ventricles, as per the outlet. According to a statement that was posted on his Instagram, his health condition has worsened from his recent performances, leading to problems with hearing, vision, and balance. As per his doctor's instructions, he is undergoing specific physical therapy and has been "advised to refrain from performing during this recovery period," according to People. Joel is "thankful for the excellent care he is receiving and is fully committed to prioritising his health," according to the statement. "He is grateful for the support from fans during this time and looks forward to the day when he can once again take the stage," it continued. In a statement, Joel said he was "sincerely sorry to disappoint our audience." Joel's wife Alexis shared an Instagram update on his condition and recovery. "Thank you for the outpouring of love and support," she wrote alongside a photo of her with Billy and their daughters. "We are so grateful for the wonderful care and swift diagnosis we received." "Bill is beloved by so many, and to us, he is a father and husband who is at the centre of our world," added Alexis. "We are hopeful for his recovery," she wrote. Actor-producer Anushka Sharma is "heartbroken" after 11 people died and 47 were injured in a stampede near the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Wednesday as the felicitation programme for IPL 2025 winners Royal Challengers Bengaluru was underway. Nearly two lakh fans gathered outside the stadium, according to news agency PTI, which the police could not control, leading to utter chaos. An open bus parade was also planned as lakhs turned up to welcome their favourite cricket stars. It was a happy occasion that turned into a sombre one when thousands tried to rush into the stadium, the home ground of RCB, through a narrow entryway. Anushka, who is the wife of RCB star player Virat Kohli, posted the team's official statement on her Instagram page last night. "We are deeply anguished by the unfortunate incidents that have come to light through media reports regarding public gatherings all over Bengaluru in anticipation of the team's arrival this afternoon. The safety and well-being of everyone is of utmost importance to us," the official statement from RCB read. "RCB mourns the tragic loss of lives and extend our heartfelt condolences to the affected families. Immediately upon being made aware of the situation, we promptly amended our program, and followed, the guidance and advice of the local administration." Workers of an American sealcoating company got the sweetest surprise when a homeowner offered them traditional Indian snacks while they were on the job. The Sealcoating Guys is a Minnesota-based company that specializes in paving and asphalt services. The company shared a video on Instagram that shows a woman offering vada and coconut chutney to construction workers who were presumably working at her home. The woman's offer of homemade snacks was met with a wholesome reaction as the crew thanked her profusely. The video opens with a woman – dressed in nightwear with a dupatta on her shoulders – standing outside the house with two disposable plates in her hands. Each plate contained three pieces of vada with coconut chutney. She offered the plates to the sealcoating crew working outside her house. 'Thank you so much,' crew members were heard telling her in the now-viral video. 'This is so kind.' The construction crew also asked the woman to explain what she was serving them. 'Vada,' she answered, describing the snack as a 'donut, kind of. But not sweet, spicy only.'
