FUGŌ's Theme Song For 'Ejen Ali The Movie 2' – 'Some Other Day' – Is An Emotionally-Resonant Anthem
This track by Kuala Lumpur's indie trio FUGŌ is like a warm hug from a close friend – universally relatable and quietly powerful.
More Than Just A Movie Soundtrack
While it's the official soundtrack for Ejen Ali The Movie 2, 'Some Other Day' isn't your typical action flick anthem. Instead of fading into the background, it steps forward with emotional clarity, inviting listeners to pause, reflect, and breathe amidst the movie's high-tech spy thrills.
The song carries a tender message about change, friendship, and resilience that resonates well beyond the screen.
FUGŌ's Heartfelt Sound
If FUGŌ is new to you, 'Some Other Day' is the perfect intro. Formed in 2019, the trio – Hakim Kamal (vocals and guitar), Kayrol Ami (bass), and Fai (keys) – have built their reputation in the local indie scene with heartfelt, mellow acoustic vibes and honest lyrics that feel like a personal conversation. Their sound blends gentle guitars with dreamy synth layers, creating a cinematic yet intimate atmosphere.
Compared to earlier tracks like 'Waiting' and 'As Long As We Stay,' this song focuses less on sonic experimentation and more on emotional clarity, holding space for quiet reflection and hope.
A Soothing Anthem For The Heart
Lines like 'Dan kita akan okay, and we will be alright' linger long after the song ends. It's a soft, reassuring reminder for anyone navigating tough seasons, but still clinging to hope. This makes the track not just a soundtrack piece, but a comforting anthem for listeners.
If you've been missing a friend or feeling low, 'Some Other Day' gently voices what you might struggle to say – it's like a musical hug: steady, sincere, and quietly uplifting. By balancing the film's adrenaline with emotional depth, the track also makes Ejen Ali The Movie 2 more accessible and meaningful to audiences of all ages.

#SHOWBIZ: Jimmy Kimmel reveals Matt Damon nearly choked to death at his home
LOS ANGELES: Matt Damon narrowly avoided a life-threatening incident during dinner at Jimmy Kimmel's house, after choking on a spare rib that became lodged in his throat for nearly 90 minutes. The late-night host recalled the frightening moment in an interview with Variety, saying the 54-year-old actor had arrived hungry and began eating quickly before the rib got stuck. "He came late, was very hungry, and started eating fast. He started choking on a pork rib. It was stuck in his throat for about an hour and a half," Jimmy, 57, explained. The comedian admitted he panicked at the thought of Damon possibly dying under his roof. "His brother was there. I said, 'We've got to get him to the hospital, because if he dies in my house, I'm going to prison for the rest of my life. I'll never be able to explain this as anything other than a murder.'" Despite repeated attempts, the Heimlich manoeuvre proved unsuccessful. Desperate for a solution, they turned to YouTube tutorials and eventually discovered that eating small pieces of bread might help. The unconventional method worked, with Damon finally able to swallow the rib. "Bread saved him," Kimmel said. "We tried the Heimlich many times. It was too far down." The incident adds another twist to the pair's long-running comedic 'feud,' which began in 2005 when Kimmel joked at the end of his show, "Apologies to Matt Damon, but we ran out of time." Since then, their playful rivalry has included red-carpet banter and Sarah Silverman's viral parody song "I'm [expletive] Matt Damon."

(Video) Aubrey Plaza Opens Up About Husband's Death & How She's Dealing With Grief
American actress Aubrey Plaza had a tragic start to 2025 due to the death of her husband, Jeff Baena, in January 2025. Months later, the star opened up about her loss and how she views her grief. The actress recently appeared on an episode of the 'Good Hang' podcast, hosted by her 'Parks and Recreation' co-star, Amy Poehler. In the episode, Aubrey and Amy discussed various topics. However, the interview started on a solemn note, with Amy asking how Aubrey is doing since the tragic death of her husband, Jeff. Jeff Baena died on 3rd January 2025 at the age of 47 after committing suicide at his Los Angeles home. Aubrey and Jeff had been together since 2011 and got married in 2021. While reports say the pair had quietly separated in September 2024, the two were still married at the time of Jeff's death. Responding to Amy's question, Aubrey said, 'Right in this very, very present moment, I feel happy to be with you. Overall, I'm here and I'm functioning. I feel really grateful to be moving through the world. I think I'm okay, but it's like a daily struggle, obviously.' The actress then touched on grieving, likening it to the movie 'The Gorge'. She explained, 'In the movie, there's a cliff on one side and a cliff on the other side, and a gorge in between that's filled with monster people trying to get them.' The actress continued, saying, 'I swear when I watched it I was like, 'That feels like what my grief is like,' or what grief could be like. At all times, there's a giant ocean of awfulness that's right there, and I can see it.' Aubrey added, 'Sometimes I just want to dive into it and be in it, and sometimes I look at it. Sometimes I try to get away from it. But it's always there, and the monster people are trying to get me, like Miles Teller and Anya Taylor-Joy.' Aubrey and Amy then moved on to other topics, including Aubrey's start in acting and comedy. Reacting to the video, many netizens and fans commended Aubrey's vulnerability and how Amy approached the situation. The actress is preparing to make her first comeback since her husband's death, alongside Margaret Qualley in 'Honey Don't'. We wish her the best in her project, and we hope to see more of her soon. (Video) Soft Tones & Vintage Touch: A Look Inside Rapper DAWN's Cosy Home
It's not often that fans get a glimpse inside a K-pop idol's home, as most prefer to keep that part of their lives private. However, a handful have been happy to share their personal space, offering an insight into how these superstars live when they are off stage. Recently, DAWN (던) uploaded a video to his YouTube channel, giving fans a tour of his home. Here's a look inside the rapper's abode: The video opens with DAWN welcoming viewers into his home, starting with the living room, which he described as his favourite area of the house. Speaking about the interior design, he explained that it was inspired by a blend of Western and Asian styles. He then highlighted some of his favourite decorations in the room, including an African Mancala set (known locally in Malaysia as Congkak), which he found at an antique store. One of his most prized possessions is a wall decoration known as a Gongjakseon, a traditional Korean fan that resembles a male peacock with its feathers spread. The piece was created by artisan Lee Gwang-gu, and the idol revealed that he had come across it at a second-hand marketplace. 'The seller didn't even know it was by Lee Gwang-gu, and I felt that someone who recognised its value should own it, so I bought it for myself,' said the rapper. DAWN then gave fans a look at his workspace, which features a keyboard, recording equipment and speakers, before moving on to the rest of the house, including the dining area, kitchen and dressing room with a walk-in closet. After showing his minimalistic bedroom, the singer revealed his DJ set, where he played vinyl records on the turntables. In the comments section, fans praised DAWN for his exquisite taste in interior design, noting how beautiful and cosy his home looks. Others said they hoped to see more videos from him in the near future. As this was only the first episode of his home tour, we look forward to seeing what else he has to share soon.
