The 2025 Richard Mille AlUla Desert Polo—renowned as the world's first organized desert polo tournament—returns this month with an enticing blend of world-class sport, entertainment, and cultural activities.
Organized by the Royal Commission for AlUla in collaboration with the Saudi Polo Federation, the prestigious event is set for January 17-18 at the scenic Al-Fursan Equestrian Village.
Action-Packed Schedule
Friday's matches kick off at 1:30 p.m. with three exciting games, followed by a 30-minute interval featuring live entertainment and surface leveling. The afternoon resumes at 3:45 p.m. with another set of matches, concluding with a networking meet-and-greet session.
Saturday's lineup begins with the wooden spoon match at 12:30 p.m., followed by the subsidiary final at 2:15 p.m., and culminates in the main final at 4 p.m. The champions will be crowned during an awards ceremony.
Star-Studded Lineup
The event will see legendary polo player Adolfo Cambiaso, founder of the famed La Dolfina team, joined by his children, Adolfo 'Poroto' Cambiaso Jr. and Mia Cambiaso. Other prominent players include Pablo Mac Donough, Nacho Figueras, and Milly Hine.
The six competing teams—AlUla, Richard Mille, Bentley, Budget SA, Dadan, and Ikmah—will feature international patrons like Sarah Siegel Magness, Ploy Bhinsaeng, and Clarinda Tjia-Dharmadi, along with a distinguished lineup of royal patrons.
Entertainment Beyond the Game

Royal Endurance Team Secures Top Positions In 120km Fursan Cup
Bahrain Royal Endurance Team rider Raed Mahmood secured fourth place in the 120km Fursan Cup 2025, organised by the Royal Commission for AlUla in Saudi Arabia in partnership with the Saudi Arabian Equestrian Federation. The race, contested over four stages, saw fierce competition among 200 riders. The Royal Team led the first two stages, with Mahmood leading in the third. The Royal Endurance Team will compete in the 160km race on Sunday, represented by Salman Isa, Fahad Al Khatri, Mohammed Abdulsamad, Maayouf Al Rumaihi, and Abdullah Janahi.
