Woman came to pick up car after DeKalb driver arrested. Then she got arrested, too
A woman who attempted to do a good deed for another person has now found herself behind bars.

Last Wednesday, DeKalb County police were alerted to an SUV linked to a felony shoplifting incident.
Officers found and stopped the car on N. Decatur Road and N. Decatur Lane and confirmed the driver had active felony warrants.
According to DKPD, while on scene, a woman came to get the car, only to be found wanted herself on an aggravated battery charge.

The two were arrested and taken to the DeKalb County Jail. Their ages and identities were not released.

Boulder, Colorado terror attack suspect Mohamed Sabry Soliman faces hate crime, attempted murder charges
Suspect Mohamed Sabry Soliman is now facing hate crime, attempted murder, assault and other charges following what the FBI called a "targeted terror attack" in Boulder, Colorado, over the weekend. The violence Sunday against a pro-Israel group advocating for Hamas to release Israeli hostages left eight people, ages 52 to 88, with injuries, including one in critical condition, according to the FBI. Police responded to the area after receiving reports of a man with a weapon setting people on fire. Soliman has now been charged with a hate crime involving actual or perceived race, religion, or national origin. At the state level, Soliman was charged with murder in the first degree – deliberation with intent – criminal attempt; murder in the first degree – extreme indifference – criminal attempt; crimes against at-risk adults/elderly; 1st degree assault – non-family; 1st degree assault – heat of passion; criminal attempt to commit class one and class two felonies; and use of explosives or incendiary devices during felony. In a press conference Monday afternoon local time, 20th Judicial District Attorney Michael Dougherty outlined the severe potential penalties facing Soliman if convicted on all charges. Soliman faces 16 counts of attempted first-degree murder — eight for attempted murder with intent and deliberation, and eight for attempted murder with extreme indifference. If convicted and the sentences are ordered to run consecutively, he could face a maximum of 384 years in state prison for those charges alone. In addition, Soliman is charged with two counts of use of an incendiary device, which could add up to 48 years if served consecutively. He also faces 16 counts of attempted use of an incendiary device, carrying a potential additional 192 years. In total, the maximum possible sentence could reach 624 years if all convictions are handed down and run consecutively. Soliman was also in the United States illegally, Fox News has learned. The Boulder Police Department confirmed Monday that no victim has died. Soliman was booked into the Boulder County Jail on Sunday evening and remains held on a $10 million bond. "We are aware of and fully investigating a targeted terror attack in Boulder, Colorado," FBI director Kash Patel said. "Our agents and local law enforcement are on the scene already, and we will share updates as more information becomes available." Soliman, 45, was arrested and taken to the hospital with minor injuries after his alleged attack on the "Run for Their Lives" group that was gathering on Pearl Street, police said Sunday night. The group is a grassroots organization that facilitates global run and walk events calling for the release of Israeli hostages held by Hamas. This particular chapter of the group meets on a weekly basis, police said. Soliman was allegedly yelling "Free Palestine" during the attack, which was near the county courthouse on Pearl Street. FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino said the attack is being investigated as an act of "ideologically motivated violence," based on early information, evidence and witness accounts. Soliman first arrived in the U.S. after landing at Los Angeles International Airport on Aug. 27, 2022, with a non-immigrant visa. He was authorized to stay through Feb. 2, 2023, but never left. On Sept. 9, 2022, he filed a claim with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. On March 29, 2023, Soliman was granted work authorization, which was valid through March of this year. WASHINGTON - A former Washington, D.C. teacher has been arrested for allegedly soliciting explicit images from a minor online, according to the FBI. Investigators are now seeking information to determine whether there are additional victims. Federal agents arrested 56-year-old Devonne Keith Brown, who they say used social media and payment apps, including CashApp, to send money to an underage girl in exchange for nude photos. Authorities allege Brown operated under the alias "Joseph," offering payments between $10 and $35. Brown previously worked as a health teacher at IDEA Public Charter School in Northeast D.C., though the school confirms he is no longer employed there and that no current students appear to be involved in the case. According to court document, a victim reportedly told the FBI she met Brown at a grocery store before feeling uncomfortable when he messaged her that he was near her home and wanted to meet. Steven Jensen, assistant director of the FBI's Washington Field Office, condemned the alleged crimes, saying in a statement, "Those who prey on minors to solicit the production of CSAM are morally reprehensible and will be held accountable for their heinous crimes." "The FBI remains committed to protecting our children and ridding our communities of this grievous scourge," the statement continued. Authorities have reached out to Project Impact Sports for comment but have yet to receive a response. IDEA Public Charter School released the following statement: "IDEA Public Charter School is deeply concerned by the serious allegations involving a former employee. This individual is no longer employed by the school. The safety and well-being of our students is our highest priority. We are fully cooperating with law enforcement and supporting their ongoing investigation. Based on the information currently available to us, there is no indication that any IDEA student was directly involved." The FBI urges anyone with information regarding Brown to come forward. Man facing murder charge in Westside Jacksonville shooting death
Jacksonville police announced Tuesday that they've made an arrest in a May 26 shooting in Jacksonville's Normandy Village area. Muhammad Thomas, 22, is accused of shooting a man to death at the Westwood Apartments, 1171 Lane Ave. S. Officers arrived to find a man outside of his apartment suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, police said. The victim has been identified as Amarion Mitchell, 22. He was rushed to the hospital where he died several days later, police said. Thomas was identified as a suspect.
