Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, paid a visit to Mina Al Hamriya Port on Tuesday to inspect the project's continuing development.
During the tour, the Dubai Ruler was briefed on the port's strategic role in supporting the UAE's food security and enabling trade across the Arabian Gulf, particularly in perishables and livestock, state news agency Wam reported.
'We're transforming our ports into dynamic gateways that not only connect the world and accelerate the flow of goods but also drive innovation and opportunity,' said Sheikh Mohammed.
'Our goal isn't just to compete, but to lead global trade with a transformative vision and new standards. We want Dubai to be the first choice for traders, the trusted route for commerce, and the most dynamic hub in the world's supply chains.'

24 July 2025 20:38 ABU DHABI (WAM) Investments by banks operating in the UAE continued their upward trend, reaching Dh 774.3 billion by the end of April 2025. This marks a 16.2% annual increase compared to April 2024 and a 1.4% rise from March to banking indicators released by the Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE), investments in debt securities grew to Dh 352.4 billion by the end of April. Meanwhile, securities held to maturity totalled Dh 345.8 also invested Dh 19.3 billion in stocks and Dh 56.8 billion in other investment bank credit rose to over Dh 2.259 trillion, reflecting an annual growth of 9.5%. Of this, domestic credit accounted for approximately Dh 1.881 trillion, while foreign credit reached Dh 378.3 deposits exceeded Dh 2.965 trillion, comprising Dh 2.689 trillion in resident deposits and Dh 275.6 billion in non-resident deposits. A breakdown of investments by emirate noted that Abu Dhabi banks took the lead with Dh 408.9 billion, followed by Dubai with Dh 296 billion, and other emirates with Dh 69.5 billion.

24 July 2025 20:11 ABU DHABI (WAM)The Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA) has imposed a record fine of Dh5 million on a licensed company and referred the matter to the Public Prosecution, in a decisive move to safeguard market integrity and enforce regulatory action follows confirmed violations of anti-money laundering (AML) laws, counter-terrorism financing regulations, and measures related to the funding of illicit in-depth investigation revealed that the entity in question, in collaboration with an overseas company, engaged in deceptive practices targeting investors within the UAE by falsely suggesting that the foreign company was licensed by the Authority, with the intent of misappropriating client referral of the case to the competent judicial authorities underscores the Authority's unwavering commitment to transparency and to upholding the highest standards of regulatory escalating the case to judicial authorities, the SCA reaffirmed its commitment to transparency, deterrence, and regulatory compliance, in line with international best practices. The SCA reiterated its strategic focus on proactive oversight, risk-based supervision, and strict compliance enforcement, all of which support the UAE's positioning as a trusted and competitive global financial hub.
