Qassam Brigades announce strikes on ‘Israeli' tank, personnel carrier in Central Gaza
According to a statement released by the group, fighters struck the Merkava tank with a "Yassin 105" anti-armor projectile in the chalets area of al-Jaafrawi, located southeast of Deir al-Balah.
The attack reportedly prompted a helicopter landing to evacuate casualties.
In a separate statement, the group said it also targeted an 'Israeli' APC in the same area with another "Yassin 105" projectile.
Earlier in the day, the 'Israeli' military said a platoon commander and a combat engineering soldier from the Southern Brigade were seriously wounded during fighting in southern Gaza and were evacuated for medical treatment.
As of now, no official statement has been made linking the military's announcement to the Qassam Brigades' attacks.
