There are 10 Kuki-Zo MLAs in the state of which seven belong to BJP.
The meeting also resolved that the Kuki-Zos will not compromise their 'ancestral land, culture, identity, and political, social and economic rights under no circumstances'.
The decisions were taken during a joint meeting of the Kuki Inpi Manipur (KIM) along with its federating units — Kuki Students' Organisation-General Headquarters (KSO-GHQ), Kuki Khanglai Lawmpi-General Headquarters (KKL-GHQ), Kuki Christian Leaders' Forum (KCLF), Kuki Women's Union-General Headquarters (KWU-GHQ), Kuki Women Organisation for Human Rights-General Headquarters (KWOHR-GHQ), Kuki Chiefs' Association-Manipur (KCA-M) — and all district units of Kuki Inpi and heads of departments at the conference hall of KIM secretariat in Bijang on Friday.

Amravati, Aug 11 (UNI) BJP Rajya Sabha MP Dr. Anil Bonde criticised NCP chief Sharad Pawar and Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut over their recent election-related statements, suggesting "magicians and technicians" become active during polls. Bonde termed as "ridiculous but true" Pawar's claim about individuals promising to arrange constituencies through "mantras" and manipulate voting machines. "Such fraudsters likely approached both Pawar and Uddhav Thackeray," Bonde stated, continuing that veteran leaders should immediately report such offers to police rather than disclose them months later. He referenced Pawar's recent comments on Rahul Gandhi's allegations as a "delayed response." Mumbai-based Jain priest Rashtriya Sant Nilesh Muni Guru Maharaj has clarified his controversial statement threatening to "lift weapons" if a ban on pigeon feeding is not revoked. The priest said on Monday that his reference to weapons meant fast-unto-death, not violence."For a Jain, a weapon is fasting, nothing else. Lord Shantinath gave his life to save a pigeon. We can do the same," he priest's earlier remark drew political reactions, with Maharashtra BJP minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha expressing regret over it, and Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Kishori Pednekar terming it "urban naxalism" to defy a court order. Nilesh Muni said he would not respond to political comments but would "urge Jains to come out and participate in fast-unto-death". "There is the Supreme Court, and there is God's court above all. We will do what Lord Shantinath did. I have come to Mumbai for Chaturmas.
