Pope Tawadros II: Sisi Makes Great Efforts to Uphold Palestinian Rights

Nada Mustafa
Pope Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of the See of St. Mark, stated that President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi is making significant efforts to uphold the rights of the Palestinian people, emphasizing that the Palestinian cause has been Egypt's cause for decades.
He noted that the war on Gaza has exceeded all humanitarian standards.
In an interview with "Extra News" TV channel, Pope Tawadros II said: 'Humanity is absent in the conflicts we are witnessing, especially in the Gaza Strip. Egypt is making every effort, both internally and externally, to achieve peace in Palestine.'
'There are attempts to destroy the infrastructure in Gaza. We are facing a dangerous situation where people are drifting away from their faith. We see these painful scenes and call for peace, the preservation of families, and for people to live in safety," he added.

US vetoes UN Security Council resolution calling for Gaza ceasefire

Basant Ahmed The UN Security Council is considering a draft resolution for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. But it wasn't long before the United States quickly vetoed a draft resolution calling for a ceasefire in Gaza. In this context, the US representative to the Security Council sad that if Hamas surrendered, the war in Gaza would end, noting that Hamas was threatening Israel and was the one who started the conflict. The US representative to the Security Council continued: "No one wants to see these tragedies in the Gaza Strip, and Palestinians deserve a chance to live free from terrorism." The US representative to the Security Council added: "We have worked hard with Egypt and Qatar to end this conflict, and we urge the United Nations to move forward in achieving calm." read more Gold prices rise, 21 Karat at EGP 3685 NATO's Role in Israeli-Palestinian Conflict US Expresses 'Strong Opposition' to New Turkish Military Operation in Syria Shoukry Meets Director-General of FAO Lavrov: confrontation bet. nuclear powers must be avoided News Iran Summons French Ambassador over Foreign Minister Remarks News Aboul Gheit Condemns Israeli Escalation in West Bank News Greek PM: Athens Plays Key Role in Improving Energy Security in Region News One Person Injured in Explosion at Ukrainian Embassy in Madrid News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier Sports Former Al Zamalek Player Ibrahim Shika Passes away after Long Battle with Cancer Sports Neymar Announced for Brazil's Preliminary List for 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers News Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly Inaugurates Two Indian Companies Arts & Culture New Archaeological Discovery from 26th Dynasty Uncovered in Karnak Temple Business Fear & Greed Index Plummets to Lowest Level Ever Recorded amid Global Trade War Arts & Culture Zahi Hawass: Claims of Columns Beneath the Pyramid of Khafre Are Lies News Flights suspended at Port Sudan Airport after Drone Attacks News Shell Unveils Cost-Cutting, LNG Growth Plan Videos & Features Video: Trending Lifestyle TikToker Valeria Márquez Shot Dead during Live Stream

Pakistan Condemns Storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque, Escalating Israeli Atrocities

SEENEWS Pakistan strongly condemns the provocative storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque and the escalating Israeli atrocities. These reprehensible acts, including violations at multiple entrances of the Mosque, are a direct assault on the sanctity, historical character, and legal status of the revered Muslim holy site. Such reprehensible actions not only deeply offend the sentiments of Muslims worldwide but also risk igniting further unrest in an already volatile environment. These are clear violations of international law and must be halted immediately. Furthermore, the ongoing targeting of innocent Palestinian civilians in Gaza by the Israeli occupying power is a matter of deep concern . The killing of nearly 100 Palestinian civilians in the last 24 hours alone, including those waiting near food distribution sites, shows the continued impunity with which Israeli occupying forces continue to commit crimes against humanity. We call upon the international community to take urgent and meaningful action to stop these atrocities and to hold Israeli occupying forces accountable for their blatant and systematic violations of international law. We also call for ensuring unfettered humanitarian access to millions in Gaza, as well as to preserve the sanctity and the historical and legal status of Al-Aqsa Mosque . Pakistan reaffirms its unwavering support for the Palestinian people and their just struggle for their right to self-determination. We reiterate our call for the establishment of an independent, viable, and contiguous Palestinian State, based on the pre-1967 borders, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital. read more Gold prices rise, 21 Karat at EGP 3685 NATO's Role in Israeli-Palestinian Conflict US Expresses 'Strong Opposition' to New Turkish Military Operation in Syria Shoukry Meets Director-General of FAO Lavrov: confrontation bet. nuclear powers must be avoided News Iran Summons French Ambassador over Foreign Minister Remarks News Aboul Gheit Condemns Israeli Escalation in West Bank News Greek PM: Athens Plays Key Role in Improving Energy Security in Region News One Person Injured in Explosion at Ukrainian Embassy in Madrid News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier Sports Former Al Zamalek Player Ibrahim Shika Passes away after Long Battle with Cancer Sports Neymar Announced for Brazil's Preliminary List for 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers News Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly Inaugurates Two Indian Companies Arts & Culture New Archaeological Discovery from 26th Dynasty Uncovered in Karnak Temple Business Fear & Greed Index Plummets to Lowest Level Ever Recorded amid Global Trade War Arts & Culture Zahi Hawass: Claims of Columns Beneath the Pyramid of Khafre Are Lies News Flights suspended at Port Sudan Airport after Drone Attacks News Shell Unveils Cost-Cutting, LNG Growth Plan Videos & Features Video: Trending Lifestyle TikToker Valeria Márquez Shot Dead during Live Stream
