The accused, a native of Edappal in Malappuram district, remains absconding along with his parents, despite repeated summons.
The high court, which had earlier criticised the investigating team for failing to arrest him, rejected his bail plea, citing the seriousness of the charges and the evidence submitted by the police.
Suresh is charged under several sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), including Section 63 – rape, Section 69 – sexual intercourse on the false promise of marriage, Section 75 – outraging the modesty of a woman and Section 108 – abetment of suicide.
The case pertains to the death of a young IB officer who died by suicide on March 24, this year after allegedly jumping in front of a train near Pettah railway station in Thiruvananthapuram.
Minutes before her death, she is believed to have had an eight-second phone conversation with Suresh.
During the investigation, the probe team recovered Suresh's iPhone from his uncle's residence in Pathanamthitta, which revealed critical chat records on the messaging app Telegram.
In these conversations, the accused allegedly repeatedly asked the victim when she planned to end her life, and in one message, she stated she would die by August 9. The chats also indicate that the deceased confronted him about his refusal to marry her despite their long-standing relationship.
Further, the victim's father handed over banking transaction records and a hospital bill of Rs 10,000, which he claimed was for an abortion procedure.

This was submitted to corroborate allegations of sexual and financial exploitation.
Police have treated the digital evidence and financial documentation as crucial to establishing a clear link between the accused and the circumstances that allegedly led to the woman's death.
Following the bail rejection, the authorities are intensifying efforts to locate and arrest Suresh, who has been on the run since being formally added as an accused.

Hyderabad: Among dishonest government officials in a loop, it pays to keep money taps open. And, those having money taps are often powerful enough to stave off a transfer or simply ignore it! This explains how N Sridhar, an official of the Irrigation Department, arrested recently in a disproportionate assets case, managed to stay in the same location and position for over one year despite his transfer and even got his superiors to support him in the department by devious means. During investigations following the arrest of Sridhar in DA case, the Anti-Corruption Bureau stumbled upon the role of top irrigation officials in supporting him to continue in the same post, defying transfer orders issued by the Irrigation Secretary last year. Engineer-in– chief (General) G Anil Kumar is suspected to have helped Sridhar by quietly not relieving from the post. Officials said that state Irrigation Secretary Rahul Bojja issued orders to Sridhar, who was working as Executive Engineer (EE) in Choppadani in Karimnagar district, asking him to report to the head office on June 27 last year. The official did not report but managed to continue in the post and in the same location without any communication to the head office for the last one year. Aghast at this finding, the ACB, which arrested the irrigation official in a DA assets case last week, sought additional details with evidence from the higher authorities. Upon enquiries, the agency received information that Sridhar had been maintaining close relations with some top officials in the head office of the irrigation wing and thus managed to continue in the same post. 'The role of Anil Kumar in supporting Sridhar and other officials is under investigation. The ACB will summon the ENC and other top officials once the agency gets adequate evidence about the links between these officials,' sources said. It was pointed out that Anil had stopped the transfer of Sridhar and managed it secretly without involving the Secretary. Taking serious note of it, the ACB officials decided to question Sridhar, presently in Chanchalguda jail, to ferret out details of his relations with his superiors in the Irrigation wing. The role of top officials in supporting the corrupt engineer to amass a staggering wealth of more than Rs 200 crore would be probed before proceeding against all others who are believed to be involved in the entire episode, sources told The Hans India.

Noida: Four linked to trader's murder, fraud, theft; nabbed
Two men linked to the murder of a local trader and multiple fraud cases involving foreign currency were arrested by Noida Police after a shootout near Elevated Road in Sector 54 on Saturday, officers said, adding that the two accused were injured in the incident. Two other accused, including the kingpin, were arrested later from Ghaziabad and Delhi. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Noida) Yamuna Prasad said the encounter occurred during a routine police check when two suspects on a motorcycle refused to stop and opened fire. 'While a team from Sector 24 police station was conducting routine checking near Elevated Road, Sector 54, two suspects on a motorcycle failed to stop when signalled by the police and instead opened fire on our team in an attempt to escape. 'In self-defence, officers fired back, injuring both suspects who were subsequently overpowered and taken into custody,' said Prasad. The injured men—Mukul Sharma, 25, of Vasundhara, Ghaziabad, and Akash Upadhyay, 24, of Noida—were taken to a hospital for treatment, police said. Officers recovered a stolen motorcycle, a .32-bore pistol, a country-made .315-bore pistol, live cartridges, two mobile phones, and two bags containing fraudulently acquired Canadian and UAE currency worth approximately ₹10.3 lakh from the two. Police said the suspects confessed during interrogation to killing Ompal Bhati, a 40-year-old currency trader from Sector 94, Noida, on Wednesday. They lured him to a rented property in Sector 12 under the pretext of exchanging Canadian dollars and shot him when a scuffle broke out. A murder case had been filed at Sector 24 police station. The suspects' modus operandi involved paying small deposits to rent properties and using them as bait to rob currency dealers, officers aware of the case said. Police also arrested Mukul's father, Ajay Kumar Sharma, alias Ajju, 48, from Vasundhara — described as the mastermind — and an accomplice, Aryan Yadav, 25, from Morna bus stand in Delhi subsequently after the arrest of Sharma and Upadhyay. The accused were also involved in a May 14 incident in Vasundhara, Indirapuram, where 8,000 UAE Dirhams were stolen in a similar fraud, they added. Police recovered ₹4 lakh in cash, 9,900 Canadian dollars (worth approx. ₹6.27 lakh), 30 UAE Dirhams ( ₹703), clothing worn during the crime, and two pistols with ammunition from the two. Police confirmed both injured suspects have prior criminal records in Noida and Ghaziabad under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Arms Act, officers said.
