The summer travel season is here, and now is the time to begin dreaming and planning your next getaway.
Grabbing a suitcase and embarking on new adventures comes easily for content creator Juliana Broste, known online as "Traveling Jules."
"As a traveling video journalist, I have honestly made up this career because it's so much fun traveling," she told CBS News Colorado Anchor Mekialaya White, who met Broste at Denver's Union Station recently.
"It's one of my favorite places because it's all about travel," said Broste. She says booking your summer vacation and finding new activities for your family doesn't have to be expensive.
"You know, these days, money is not abundant. We all could have a little more of that. But what's nice is, you can still travel."
Her biggest tip is to take advantage of all our beautiful state has to offer and plan a money-saving staycation, as opposed to vacationing elsewhere.
"Staying close to home, but doing something you wouldn't do, like heading on over to book a really cool hotel that you've been admiring for years."
If you're looking for a good place to start, Broste recommends planning a staycation right at Union Station with options that are free.

"I'm a big fan of the Urban Market -- getting a chance to enjoy the crafts and arts, things you can't find at the mall."
Or, Broste says, you can splurge a bit.
"Treat yourself, pamper yourself, there are spas there are fancy dinners. You can have a chance to explore - there's the zoo, aquarium, mural tours, bike tours."
"And if you have friends or family coming, they can come take the train and stay the night," Broste said with a slight pause, then chuckle. "Or they can stay at your house!"

Need a charge? Check out these charger deals from Anker and UGREEN

All of these charger deals come from Amazon. The Anker Laptop Charger discount is available through an on-page coupon. Make sure to apply it before adding it to your cart. The other two deals are applied automatically, so just add them to your cart and check out. Anker Laptop Charger 140W At first sight, this may look like a normal multi-port charger, but let us tell you it is quite the upgrade. For starters, it has a really cool little display that can give you the live status of your output, port information, temperature data, and more. Fun features aside, though, it is also pretty capable. The max output, as the name entails, is 140W. These max speeds can be reached any of the two main USB-C ports, but only when charging a single devices. The wattage will be shared as you plug in more devices simultaneously. There is also a third USB-C port, but that one maxes out at 40W. The USB-A connection has a max output of 33W, which honestly still isn't bad! In a nutshell, this all means the two main USB-C ports can charge nearly any modern laptop. Of course, it will also be able to fast-charge smartphones and tablets. Mainstream high-end smartphones max out at about 45W, so you'll have wattage to spare. It's a great high-end charger, with plenty of ports and output that will keep most people happy. It's a bit on the higher-end, but it's definitely worth the investment if you want to quickly charge multiple devices. It's definitely my favorite out of these charger deals! UGREEN Nexode 200W Charger UGREEN Nexode 200W Charger UGREEN Nexode 200W Charger See price at Amazon Save $30.00 Limited Time Deal! Now, if you don't feel like spending $80 bucks, here's an option that actually has a higher output of 200W! It's also cheaper, so it's a great deal. It just happens to be older and less flashy. When charging a single device, the UGREEN Nexode 200W Charger's main USB-C port can reach 140W. The second one can reach 100W, while the third one is limited to 30W. The USB-A port is limited to 22.5W. That's not bad at all, and it's nice to see that two of these ports can charge a laptop at the same time! It's still pretty small, and just like the Anker option above, it supports the PPS standard, which many newer smartphones require to reach max speeds. Anker Nano 100W 3-Port Charger The Anker Nano 100W 3-Port Charger is much older now, but it is a pretty nice alternative if the other options above are a bit overkill. And this one is just $35.99! It's still a really good charger; It has a max output of 100W. There are two USB-C ports, and both can reach the max 100W when charging a single device. The USB-A connection maxes out at 22.5W. It's still small and portable. The only downside is that it has no PPS support, but that might not be an issue for you. And even without PPS, charging is pretty fast in most cases. Make sure to catch these deals before they go away! These are all great, and they will charge multiple devices much faster than those cheap single-port chargers you get at general stores.

San Francisco man dons bee suit as part of his mission to save the city's bees

In a city where you can see just about anything, a man in a bee suit on a one-wheeler still manages to turn heads. It looks like a plea for attention, and it is — just not from people. Shalaco McGee is trying to attract bees. "When I see weeds, I spread seeds. sprinkle, sprinkle," McGee said. He calls himself Mr. Bloom, and he has made it his mission to plant wildflowers in the forgotten corners of the city. His method of choice is an old Parmesan shaker filled with native wildflowers, the kind that make San Francisco bees feel right at home. "This is a great way to connect and learn about the world around you and help support it just with the flick of the wrist," he said. It's a little bit of costume, a little bit of armor, and just ridiculous enough to work. Asked what the bees thought of his attire, he said, "Who knows? The world doesn't revolve around me. Those are busy bees." It started with a simple idea: beautify the city and bring back the bees. And somewhere between the sidewalk and the seed tosses, it took root. Before long, his social media accounts started blooming too, with nearly a million followers watching the city come back to life, and not a moment too soon. A March 2025 report shows bees aren't buzzing like they used to; more than 22 percent of native pollinators in North America are now at an elevated risk of extinction. But not everyone is on board with this kind of behavior. Daniel Montes of San Francisco's Rec and Parks Department said a little buzz can be a good thing, but only to a point. "It's not something we encourage. But it's great to see the enthusiasm and the passion, and it's great to see that he's inspiring people," said Montes. That might sting, but it hasn't stopped Mr. Bloom from suiting up. "It's beautiful. I'm just here being myself," he said.
