Richmond man arrested by San Jose police for sex trafficking a minor
According to the press release issued by the San Jose Police Department, back in November of last year, the department's Human Trafficking Task Force (HTTF) launched an investigation after an adult male suspect initiated contact with an individual who he believed to be a juvenile female for prostitution. The suspect, identified as 22-year-old Richmond resident Kendrick Robinson, engaged in online and phone communication to arrange commercial sex activities with the victim. This allowed detectives to obtained an arrest warrant for the suspect.
Last Thursday, Robinson traveled to San Jose from Richmond with the intent of exploiting the juvenile victim for prostitution and was arrested with assistance from the SJPD Special Operations M.E.R.G.E. Unit. He was booked into Santa Clara County Main Jail for commercial sex trafficking.
The San Jose Police Department also thanked the San Francisco Field Office of U.S. Department of State's Diplomatic Security Service for their help on this case. AN ANGRY pensioner has told how he was hit with a £100 fine after leaving his vehicle at a local car park for just 37 minutes. Jim Robinson was shocked to discover he had been slapped with the charge after visiting Greenock with his wife Margaret last month for an appointment. Despite paying a £2 fee to use Hunters Place car park, Mr Robinson received a fine through his letterbox from Civil Enforcement Limited, a Liverpool-based parking fine company. But Mr Robinson maintains that he paid for his visit and left well before the allotted time was up. Rashee Rice's hearing will happen before Judge Sue L. Robinson
When Chiefs receiver Rashee Rice has his disciplinary hearing on September 30, it will indeed happen before Judge Sue L. Robinson. The retired judge, who handled the Deshaun Watson case three years ago, serves as the disciplinary officer under the NFL's Personal Conduct Policy. The Rice case will be her second hearing under the revisions to the procedure that resulted from the 2020 Collective Bargaining Agreement. She'll hear the evidence (there aren't many disputed facts, unless a fight emerges as to the extent of injuries caused by Rice's admittedly reckless driving). She'll be making findings as to what happened. She'll affix a punishment. Then, either the NFL or Rice may appeal the decision to the Commissioner or his designee. There had been a belief that the case would go straight to Goodell, since there's no need for Judge Robinson to determine what did and didn't occur. It's all on video. Still, the Personal Conduct Policy sets forth a clear process. She handles it first, and the appeal happens after that. The policy contains no specific dates or deadlines. Instead, it requires that Judge Robinson's decision be issued 'promptly.' Any appeal must be processed on an 'expedited basis.' However long (or short) the decision-making process may be, September 30 is the day the hearing will commence. Judge Robinson will preside. And Rice will be available to play until any discipline is finalized — by Robinson and then, if an appeal is filed, by the Commissioner or his designee.

1-year-old girl found dead in hearse was strangled by mom, Alabama cops say
A mom is accused of killing her 1-year-old daughter and leaving her body in a hearse outside an Alabama funeral home, according to authorities. Terica Pearl, 29, is now charged with capital murder, according to the Gadsden Police Department and Etowah County jail records. A young child was found dead in a vehicle outside the West Gadsden Funeral Home the morning of Aug. 9, police said in a news release. The funeral home's director, Dantez Robinson, went on Facebook Live to explain that he hadn't locked the hearse the night before. Then in the morning, the funeral home groundskeeper went to move the hearse when he noticed a dead toddler inside. 'He was just shocked,' Robinson said. The groundskeeper called him, and Robinson said he was in disbelief until he saw the scene for himself, then he called the police. Officers arrived and said they began investigating with 'little to no information to work from' at first. But less than 12 hours later, police arrested the child's mother, according to WBRC. She was booked in jail at around 2 a.m. Aug. 10. Court records revealed the 1-year-old had been strangled to death with a 'thick robe string,' reported. Robinson, who identified himself as the assistant coroner for Etowah County, said he's witnessed a lot of deaths as part of his job. 'But to see something like this, really sent me into another level of shock,' he said. Gadsden is about a 60-mile drive northeast from Birmingham.
